A nurse walks into a bank totally exhausted after a 20 hour shift. Preparing to write a cheque, she pulls a rectal thermometer out of her purse and tries to write with it. She looks at the flabbergasted teller and without missing a beat says, 'Well! That's great.......... that's really great.......... some arsehole's got my pen.'

A bit late to this one but soon your pocket will be connected anyway. A technology called Wibree developed by Nokia has been incorporated into Bluetooth, essentially what this does is create very low power consumption devices that can connect to Bluetooth which is a big user of battery power. This means it is possible to connect very small items wirelessly to bluetooth so you can have functions built into many devices, so just maybe you will buy a Bluetooth connected coat, at least watches and other items that already have battery power but not a large Lithium one will become part of your wireless world. So, the possibilities of the joy of Bluetooth could be extended to more joy than you thought, limited by imagination

Must see: Tom Cruise talking about scientology
Zummertor replied to GC350z's topic in Off Topic Discussion
This link still works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmvUvxiW ... h_response It does indeed, this will keep those lawyers busy. Having watched a short part of this I get the feeling a specialist in reading body language might make a few observations inline with a couple of comments in this thread. Beliefs are very strong emotions, I think Bertrand Russell summed it up with what is often called the Celestial teapot, or if you'd prefer a more humourous version the "invisible pink unicorn", no comment on whether I think Tom is either a unicorn or a teapot as I believe that would be a ridiculous notion. -
Looks really very impressive

"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Church of Scientology International" Someone has had the lawyers busy. -
The "artist" had to get his inspiration from somewhere, so he raided Infiniti / Audi and a small touch of BMW, nicely rendered though. Guess someone in Nissan didn't talk to the guys too much in detail but maybe nodded a bit at the right times.
-
Not sure if the mapping company behind it in this case is Navteq but you may be able to ask these guys on their website as they do a lot of the mapping data and software for cars, including Nissan. http://www.navteq.com/

Is it alright if it was quick ?

Not had this on the Zed but on Audi it was believe it or not leaves causing problems with drainage in engine bay, sounded strange to me at the time. Another potential problem could be problem with aircon, but no experience of leaks in Zeds.

He's not the Mesiah, he's a very naughty boy. Reset to see fuel for today's return journey, 91 miles, a bit of Motorway, Dual carriageway and then some country roads/rivers. Oh and trying to spot the number plate on the Zed coming onto M3. All in all average 27.4 mpg on that trip and not trying to be over economical. I did notice that at after 4 miles average was 19.2 mpg.

as said go test drive UK one, you'll love it. Then have a search around there are nearly endless threads on here with those that know opinions liberally sprinkled with humour or not.

In Dark, wet stuff coming down and up. Guessing Blade on to M3 circa Basingstoke going South, I was behind you Flashed went I turned off.

Fair point though

There was another one I saw a couple of months ago where someone was using another persons pictures, the reason I spotted this was I'd seen the number plated car before and not in "Madrid" ready for shipping as was claimed with of course using the 3rd party Escrow type approach for the money. The same pictures then appeared on Autotrader, the actual owner of the car was informed.

Now this may not be the funniest joke I've posted BUT it is a joke received from a true gentleman from Utah and quite religious as you'd expect, so we were quite shocked to receive it, well almost. Always wear clean underwear in public, especially when working under your vehicle... From the Northwest Florida Daily News comes this story of a Crestview couple who drove their car to Wal-Mart, only to have their car break down in the parking lot. The man told his wife to carry on with the shopping while he fixed the car in the lot. The wife returned later to see a small group of people near the car. On closer inspection, she saw a pair of male legs protruding from under the chassis. Although the man was in shorts, his lack of underpants turned private parts into glaringly public ones.. Unable to stand the embarrassment , she dutifully stepped forward, quickly put her hand up his shorts, and tucked everything back into place. On regaining her feet, she looked across the hood and found herself staring at her husband who was standing idly by. The mechanic, however, had to have three stitches in his forehead.

Nothing wrong with a tractor in a field.

Had a bit of trouble this morning, but it was the usual scenario. I tend to pull nozzle out a bit to one side to ensure an air gap down the side and then fill up ok, right up full according to the gauge. I've noticed this on a few cars and it tends to be at the same garage pumps that cause a problem and not the car. Filling up with fuel is one of my pet hates

I agree with the get it repaired yourself first if selling privately, you want those that look around to see yours as ready to go / less hassle and well cared for, reason to pick yours over others. Similarly if trading in, less work to do to move on or put on forecourt and reduces arguments for dropping price down. Re. brands and seats, having had very many hire cars on long runs of different types and run a few cars myself, I've found some curious differences e.g. Audi I found actual seats good on short runs but after longer time e.g. 2 hrs not so good, the Lexus's have all been very comfortable seats and not issues, Saab again good seats, surprisingly the RX-8 was more comfortable than I thought it would be. smaller cars generally aren't so gd on longer runs, there was a site I saw a couple of years ago that had some data on car seats, the comfort and safety. Obviously this is my experience and we don't all have the same backs. I'll have a look around for that site/review and post it if I find it. Hope the back gets better as fast as possible.

car wont start. boy this is not my week
Zummertor replied to james852's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
Sorry, not reading thread properly. Really frustrating for you, but then you already knew that. Can only think immob software has tripped "safe" part of code. Would have been interesting to know what AA / RAC would have made of it as they often know a few tricks that dealers won't tell you. Can't think of a solution for you I'm afraid. -

It may have a "fail safe" in it, I've come across this in security systems in buildings but not cars, but it seems to follow the same symptom. Maybe one of our guru's will know, at least you are running now. -
Display says ~26 but I have some regular long runs which offsets the play. But as others have said, don't particularly worry about it unless there has been a noticeable drop or change for no reason.

Would it be because the immobiliser when on or little power defaults to secure mode i.e. safe ? -
Don't know but if you were nearer I'd suggest a quick test, maybe someone isn't too far away if no one else has tried it.
