Thanks Guys, Silicon sounds doable but what do you mean about cut in two with a void? Why does it need to be cut in two? Is the silicon not flexible enough to pop the original and any injected resin out again? Maybe by void you mean an excess area in the mould which you file off the moulded part afterwards? I can probably source some silicon for moulding via the Web (or maybe my mate who owns a specialist glass-fibre company) but do you have a recommendation for a type of silicon and resin yourself? I need the resin to be as hard as plastic but not fragile. Husky - easy for you to CAD maybe, for me a 10 week course Sorry for all the questions. maybe I can pay back with some specialist glass-fibre sometime...

I am interested if any of you professional people can think of a way to make a rough copy of this? Its a coin/button battery (CR2032) holder for a car key which should give you a good idea of scale. The battery fits/clips into the round section and slides into the key where it connects to prongs etc. It doesn't have to clip in, it can just rest in but it must be reasonably snug in place. The flat base fits the hole in the key and keeps everything in place. The little screw isn't necessary as glue will do to keep the assembly in. You can't buy these battery holders and they are commonly lost. I could do with anything between 5 and 50 to start with and they need to be about a pound each (possibly 2 pounds as a maximum). I've tried to think how I can make them but am not getting far. They are easy enough to make a mould of I think, but then what? Any ideas gratefully accepted!

When my stock discs were worn it seemed daft not to upgrade when to do so was cheaper than staying stock. Big Phil (a Guru trader, sadly missed, who really knew the Z) sold me EBC turbo-groove as a good fast road disc. One other reason they are good is that the dimples match the Rays but they give me no complaints. I have always loved Ferodo pads and DS2500 do not disappoint. Just when you thought the fade would start, they bite really hard. They are a good fast-road choice and late breaking is always good for a squeak and a thump from the missus, although the be fair you don't notice you are doing it, you just get used to how good the brakes are. Nevertheless, if tracking, Phil recommended the DBA disks as truly excellent performance and quality - but now we are talking a little more money than stock replacement!

You need GD7122 for the Brembo brakes (324mm?) and they are generally at least 25% more than this, often more. By default I presume the GD7120 must be the non-Brembo brake version? You can get them cheaper at Camskill than that ebay listing.

Me too, and also just after a gearbox oil change, and also goes away when warmed up. Make a noise like a p*ssed banshee at about 40mph but soon fades. I couldn't be sure if it was a wheel bearing or not, mainly because the exhaust is a little too loud to work out where the noise comes form exactly. Today (for the first time) I heard a very faint whine at tickover after being parked up in the freezing cold for a week, so I guess it must be the gearbox.

Bad luck mate, if he didn't look in the mirror before swooping out in front of you, he probably didn't look and see the fallout either.
