Hmm. I'm not sure if fitting DS2500 pads on the rear with standard pads on the front is a good idea. The front/rear braking effectiveness will be different and you might end up with too much rear and not enough front (like my mate's wife (boom boom)). Whether it is enough to matter I can't say but someone more technical may be able to advise.

That is exactly the setup I have and they are much cheaper than nissan and great brakes for everyday use. Plus the patterning matches my Rays

My beloved Z has got it's first proper mechanical fault (apart from the odd whine here and there). One of my p/s pipes is leaking from a rubber section. I haven't been able to see the exact spot myself but my local garage says it is in one of the pipes at the 'cooler' end of the piping (as opposed to the pump end) My question is, is the rubber piping bonded with the metal piping or can it be taken of and replaced with clips? The manual shows it is clips but looking in from under the bonnet the top end of the pipes look like the rubber is bonded in, i.e. pinched into and permanently fitted to the metal section. Presuming that suitable piping isn't that hard to come across (?) can someone recommend a source and suitable clips to use? If the rubber part is bonded in then I guess I will need a replacement set of pipes, unless it is feasible to hacksaw of the bonded ends and fit pipe over them? Clearly I do not want to pay for Nissan new parts so any suggestions gratefully received. It's a 04 car and as you may be able to tell, I have no garage and no way to take a look for myself If anyopne has a clear memory or facies a quick look at some pipes they have on the shelf (you never know) then that would be fab. Piccies would be even better!

If your old fob is testing as dead then send it to me. I fix keys as a hobby (have fixed thousands now for all makes and models). If it has a fault I may be able to revive it and then you won't need to do any recoding. Bargain. Tyres needed in the next month and a P3 with plugs coming up in the summer so I need a place I can trust who knows the Z's inside out. Its an hours drive but that is fine by me. Cheers all.

Not many bumps, no. I can't see them knocking both toe-in settings out though. I can only think that the garage got the settings wrong but they are a professional set-up, not some back street place. That is whay i am interested to know if factory settings are actually wrong for the car?

I have just had an MOt and it came with a few advisories. The first was Exhaust Loud ( ) but I also got an unexpected advisory on the tyre depth. i know the rears are around 3mm and have been gearing up to replace them in April, but the fronts have plenty of tread, or so I thought. On closer inspection the fronts have heavy wear on the inside (the same on both) with a distinct sawtooth feel to the wear. I think this is due to incorrect toe but I'm puzzled as I have had a proper alignment done 4-5 months ago on one of these top-notch laser jobbies and haven't hit anything hard since then. My previous front toe was 0.13 and 0.11 which is outside tolerance according to the alignment sticky and the garages alignment machine. I had no real wear problems on the front on the old settings but it didn't drive as well as it could have. My toe after alignment is 0.03 and 0.02 which is fine according to the sticky and the garage machine. I have heard a lot about early cars having excessive tyre wear on the inside due to incorrect settings, so have i gone wrong somewhere? Are the factory settings that the garage has used not correct for the car? My car is slightly lowered but only by about 10-15mm as it kept catching the exhaust on big bumps when any lower. Camber, castor and the rears all seem fine. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my KWs. If you are only having a little scraping then go for 1 or2 cm raised only. you won't like it if your car looks like it is on stilts.

AS someone who came within an inch of doing the same yesterday I really do empathise. I was going at 5mph (really!) in a straight line with no acceleration or deceleration or braking and the back end still went out as the road had a camber. One right angle skid later and *just* missed the curb. Nearly died of slow-motion horror. Sorry to see you have bent your lovely Azure, but at least it won't cost you to have it sorted

Everyone in my office has either a private iPhone of a company blackberry. They all hate the blackberry (nicknamed by most as the raspberry) for many reasons, although mainly crashes and poor battery life. They all rave about the iPhone but it's so dull to have what everyone else has. Plus you are tied in to apple iTunes etc. Oh, and for some reason they can only do one thing at once -and beleive me that is a pain at times. I have typed this proping up a lamppost in newcastle center on my nokia n900 which I have had for a week now. I have to say it is the best phone I have ever owned, the latest patch to the software makes it really easy to use and my God it is fast! I thoroughly recommend you take a look. Don't just read the main reviews, read what buyers thinkof their phone. They all love it

To save being caught out again I thought I might invest in some snow socks to keep in the boot. Anyone tried the autosock snow socks on their Z? Its £130 for all corners so I want to be sure they are going to fit ok over that fat rear wheel.
