  1. *edited as to make it a simpler question* Most people here are helpful souls and some of them quite knowledgeable I was wondering if anyone could advise on the legality of a document? For various reasons I want to loan some money to an elderly member if my family, payable on their death or sale of house. I'm not looking for advice on the decision, I'm looking on advice as to how to make the loan legal. Is it sufficient to have a letter signed by both parties like the text below, or do I need to have it notorised by a solicitor? Basically is this a document that stands up as a claim against his estate? There are no personal trust issues here, but I'd like it to be 'official'. By virtue of this agreement dated November 2014 xxxx and xxx acknowledge receipt of the capital sum of £xxx (xxx pounds) from xxx. The capital sum is to be repaid on the earlier of the death of xxx or of the sale of the property known as <address>. Interest at the rate of 5% per annum compound calculated on a daily basis from the date of this agreement is to accrue on the outstanding balance. All or part of the capital sum can be repaid by mutual agreement earlier than either of the two events listed in the preceding paragraph. Signed <xxx> Signed <xxx>
  2. Me an Pete will gang up on ya, any more comments like dat, dya know warra mean like lad! Jordies?
  3. Everyone is 'passionate' about everything. Its' bloody everywhere, I feel very passionate about this. ugh.
  4. It could be anything, but if you buy a £20-£30 reader or do the pedal dance you can find out for yourself. Just remember that flashing means warning and solid on means don't drive. Yes, there are some tankers out there, connect the next set up to the mains
  5. I miss my Z like a leg has been removed Actually that's not far wrong as i have to suffer a dreaded automatic now. I understand why powerful diesel engines can't have a clutch but its not as much fun as a manual. Anyway, its 3 weeks since my Z was part-exchanged and the dealer said it would go to either small traders or at worst an auction. I'd love to know if it has been bought by someone here as I can tell you all the good things things that have been done to it that the seller won't have known. You will have got a very good car indeed!
  6. For the punishment the car has taken the human safety area looks like it came out rather well. I'd say the car protected as well as could be expected.
  7. I put mbotul oil in my gearbox and although on paper it was the same my gearbox sqealed when cold. I gave lived with it for 10k at least thinking it was the box and not much I could do about it. I even contacted Alex for a decent replacement. He told me to use Nissan oil so I changed it and no more problems. My gearbox was mint up until I sold at 186k. So why bother trying with guesswork? You know Nissan oil does the job and anything else is no more than a punt in the dark. Its not like Nissan oil is that expensive. Just my 2p
  8. Depends when you last went Lexx They sorted mine out a treat many times over the years. They did have a dodgy mechanic many years ago but he didn't last for long. The current guys are very good with the hunter so far as I can tell.
  9. That is definitely low oil pressure. Check the levels asap. With luck you can top up and all will be well (although changing it sounds better as it could be pretty old), but if you have a reasonable level of oil and the pressure is still low then it sounds knackered, sorry. Chances are its only low though so don't panic yet.
  10. Actually on mine the revs will never drop below about 1250 if the car is moving - i.e. just dropping it out of gear, but as soon as I draw to a halt they will drop. That said, and idle reset is always a good idea after throttle body cleaning.
  11. Cruise control can apply the brakes, but not the system in the Z as its not a forward sensing system. Sounds like dirty throttles (which you have sorted) and then you haven't reset the idle. Do this first before you start to look for leaks.
  12. RS Tuning in Leeds do uprev as well.
  13. Dear God don't go to Evans with a Z! I have used Revolution in Gateshead. Technically in Gateshead but really just the south side of the Tyne so very easy to get to. http://www.revolution247.com/ Knowledgeable owners and very competent mechanics. Good prices on parts and good labour prices too. Most importantly your Z is in trustworthy hands - no oily monkey is going to rag it round the roads when you aren't looking. They have many years experience with Zs and whilst you are there you will see from souped up hot hatches to Lamborghinis so you know they are well respected. Reliable, decently priced and knowledgeable. Can't recommend them enough.
  14. Did it have the flywheel replaced when the clutch was changed? A broken DMF fly bangs (I think) but a solid flywheel replacement can be pretty loud in the way you describe up to 2K revs, but its only noise and not a problem.
  15. There is no scientific name for the back of the knee
  16. Marginally cheaper on Reifen for the sizes you want. With the current exchange rate that's about £155 each, Reifen charge about 5 euros for a 2 tyre delivery. An international bank transfer will cost you about £5. If you are buying a few tyres its worthwhile, they are an excellent company. =110&TyreSpeedIndexKey=&Reinforced=False&Runflat=False&TyreWidth=245.00&TyreCrossSection=40.00&TyreDiameter=19&SelectedTyreOption=None&ConstructionType=R"]http://www.reifen.com/en/TyreSize/List/CarWinter/245-40-R19?TyreListSort=&Page=1&PageSize=20&TyreManufacturerFilterKey[0]=110&TyreSpeedIndexKey=&Reinforced=False&Runflat=False&TyreWidth=245.00&TyreCrossSection=40.00&TyreDiameter=19&SelectedTyreOption=None&ConstructionType=R
  17. Still for sale. Now £80 including delivery in mainland UK
  18. You will need to convert all the files to a DVD compatible format if you want them to play on a 'standard' household DVD player. MPEG2 for example. There are many free tools out there that will convert the files for you if the one you have doesn't do it.
  19. Tell me about it ! Either its "Ooh look at the pretty mountains, lets drive at 20mph so we can gawk out the window" or "OMG!! this road has a WALL along the side of it, lets do 20Mmph in case it does something we don't expect!"
  20. I'd say definitely, it makes the car feel extremely responsive. I'm not sure changing the Cats is necessary though. If you are intending to change the Cats then yes do that first, but otherwise the plenum spacer, air filter and a cat-back exhaust will be enough IMO.
  21. Erm, well it is **SOLD** But its an ariel so you twist of the old one and twist on the replacement.
