  1. They were literally black, inside and out. I don't think they had been cleaned since new: I was a bit sceptical using steel wool to polish metal, as it seemed quite abrasive and I really didn't want to scratch the exhausts: After a LOT of scrubbing and finishing it off with some Autosol they came out quite well: The only thing I couldn't do too well was the insides, and the bottom lip edges. I think I'd need to get a more coarse steel wool to begin to scratch it off as it was well and truly caked on.
  2. I've not owned my Zed long and still can't believe how much you can do to them and tune them. Simply amazing.

    What rims

Actually I think I've found out what they are. Axis 19inch Milano.
  4. Stu R

    What rims

But then again... they are very similar to the Rays I have on as standard.

    What rims

Hi, can anyone tell me what rims these are please? They are the only aftermarket rims for the Zed that I have seen and liked.
  6. I've had mine for less than a week, and even though I'm still taking it easy I've had the back end slip out on two occasions when exiting roundabouts. Mostly from being too heavy footed in 2nd, and in the wet. People have told me to get some non-standard rear tyres.
  7. wow apt response Yeah yeah, I know, coat, door....
  8. Why did the bakers hands smell? He Kneaded a poo. (sorry... )
  9. Stew thats incredibly cheap. I'm limited to less than 5000 miles at £1100. Mind telling who your with?
  10. I've just been to the gym and there's a new machine, only used it for an hour as I started to feel sick! Its good though it does everything, kit kats, mars bars, snickers and crisps.

  12. I'd be up for a mini-meet Digsy. Are you looking to sell your 350z? You know when people say get a stubby fitted I presume they mean an aerial?! Any idea of where I can get one from?
  13. Hi Greg that sounds like a very good quote to be honest. I have similar details to you probably just let down by my postcode, and with Elephant for £1100. Get on one of those 10 month bonus accelerator plans, they seem worth it. Although I don't know if other insurance companies would accept NCD gained this way.
  14. 23 also. I think that they are quite an affordable car to be honest, perhaps would cost you as much to insure/run/maintain as a Type R or Astra VXR or similar, I see alot of young people with these types of cars.
  15. I'm living just off Jericho Lane, which I think is just a little further along than Riversdale. The only other Zed I used to regularly spot in Aigburth was just off Alexandra drive on the other side of Sefton Park where I lived for a short period. Pingu2 - yes it's been totally un-touched from the factory. The previous owner has kept it well, which I'm thankfull for. Gonna give it a good clean this weekend I think and get them zorsts nice and shiny.. autosol you say
  16. Sorry yes I've trimmed it down a tad bit Where abouts in Liverpool are you Digsy? I'm in Aigburth.
  17. Hi everyone I've just been and collected my gunmetal 350z from it's previous owner. Loving the car so far. My previous car which is sadly going on friday is a VX220. Now I've done the whole VX/Elise bare essentials sports car thing stepping up to a Zed is just amazingly comfortable - ride and interior, which I know is going to make this winter a lot more comfortable than the last. I thought insurance was going to be a killer as I'm only a young'un, but it's actually £600 cheaper than my VX was to insure. Maybe because over half the VX's have been written off, and because it's a soft top. But hell I'm chuft to bits. Still daren't turn traction control off, gonna take it easy for a while A few pics from todays outing... Thanks for all the info on this forum, it really is a great place for reference and Zed banter. -Stu
