  1. Now this is clearly a willy extension You win @ top trumps though Pete, it`s a Pump so not quite a semi but great fun.
  2. I could had a Nismo sticker made up for less than £3
  3. But are you talking about just the engine or summarising the engine, body & interior upgrades as a package?
  4. Only 1, there is a hose between the 2 rocker covers, then I have fitted the catch can on the outlet on the drivers side rocker cover between the rocker cover & the plenum. The other outlet on the rear of the passenger side rocker is fitted with a mini k&N filter
  5. Not been doing much with the zed recently, I have a broken vectra & a new hobby Well I had a problem with the shed vectra, It was cutting out when idling (when hot) finally got to the bottom of it, a broken clip on a wiring loom on the fuel pressure loom, then decided to get the injectors out for ultrasonic cleaning as it was a little lumpy under acceleration, which meant removing rocker covers, fuel rails & inlet manifold to remove the 6 injectors. & in the heist of it all managed to drop a tiny washer/nut into the combustion chamber so after hours of trying to get the bloody thing out resorted to removing 1 of the heads & damaging one of the head gaskets ********* & the new hobby is almost as fun as driving
  6. In the mean time read this viewtopic.php?f=176&t=54567
  7. Ideally keep the car on level ground, btw the front wheels only stop the car from rolling when you have you foot on the brake I have a set of rays you could borrow if your willing to collect & return to ME7 3** (hempstead, Kent) but I`m sure there are a few lads nearer you that could help out
  8. There is a breather pipe that connects from the rocker covers to the inlet manifold. the vacuum made from the engine pulls oil vapour from the rocker covers into the inlet manifold. It then makes it`s way into the combustion chamber where it is burn`t off. When running FI you can quite often see a slight increase in crankcase pressure resulting in more oil vapour being pulled into the inlet manifold. A catch can does what it says on the box, it catches the oil exactly the same way a water separator does & stops the oil being sucked into your inlet manifold, keeping it nice & clean
  9. Maybe he`s still out driving it
  10. Good point about them being easy pickings, but Idon`t think a black sack is going to deter a thief, if the car is outside perhaps steely`s or a spare set of wheels would be a better option
  11. To be fair it`s not all about numbers, it`s how you drive the car & how well the map suits your driving style. If you love the revs get a 313 with the higher rev limit out the box & a bit more top end power, if your one to use the whole rev range stick with a 276 & get an UPREV. I`ve driven numerous of all 3 variants, modded & un modded including numerous 370`z modded & un modded. Unless they are boosted or running nitrous theres bugger all difference on the road. Have a feeling I may have just opened a big can or worms
  12. Had mine on since May, does a great job, not a hint of oil in the return line when I put the \Cosworth plenum the other week
  13. Not been doing much with the zed recently, I have a broken vectra & a new hobby
  14. It`s pretty straight forward pbomb so long as you have 4 stands & a trolley jack (preferably a low entry one) I normally do the front first, jacking from the front subframe each side & place the axle stands with a piece of carpet on under the normal jacking points then jack the rear from the diff & place the axle stands under the normal jacking ponts. Remember to loosen wheel nuts before jacking though Dont do it like this though
  15. I may be wrong, I`m sure he will be along in the morning
  16. Did I take you in the Mazda or the zed? I have alot more power in the zed now which equals alot more SMOKE!!!!
  17. I believe Ebized only had a 276 & a 296 then the 370z I on the other hand went from 276 to 436 Both your Zeds go/went well Will
  18. Perhaps the airfield will be a better option for a Shake down, make sure everything is properly back together, wouldn`t want to put it in the tyres after all the hard work, sweat blood & tears you have put in I am a little biased as I`m due a new set of tyres Will knows what happens with me & airfields
  19. A little birdie told me of this thread I could be interested Chris, not driven Castle Coombe before
  20. Who was the trader if you don't mind me asking? I've recently bought a vectra from a trader which had an underlying problem & after some investigation found that this is certainly not the first dodgy car the guy has sold.
  21. Could be a split vacuum hose or air leak somewhere
  22. ^^^ I sincerely hope it`s not anything serious & I`m not in anyway trying to scare monger or diagnose the problem as a bend conrod, It could be any number of things from a fuel damper, a buggered lifter (not sure if the Vq`s have hydraulic lifters), slack timing chain, failed oil pump or a bouncy ball in the rocker cover. Either way it doesn`t sound good & I personally wouldn`t be driving/running the car
  23. Sounds a bit like my old Audi which was 2 bent conrods Hope you can get to the bottom of it. I it were mine I don`t think I`d be driving it back to the trader
  24. Here you go, the only pins as shown that should make a ground on the A/c plug & combination meter plug
