  1. Octet will have a set for sale in the near future
  2. Hope you & Joy have a safe trip & a great time
  3. Now thats my kind of drive to the shops I`ll go out to top up with petrol for the next day or outing, fill the car up & when I get back home there is only half a tank of fuel left (theres a Shell 0.8miles from my house) I`d get a new battery, the halfrauds one you have may not be the right amp rating compared to the stock & when changing just make sure the connections are cot corroded & have plenty of grease on them. Do not use WD40, this will remove any grease thats on the connectors. It`s a penetrating oil good for cleaning & water displacement. You can use it to clean the connections but make sure that they are greased after.
  4. Nice read Col As you probably know I met one of your fellow vx members last weekend @ Rockingham, Guy called Ryan in a silver SC'd. Really nice guy, he even took me out for a few laps, An absolutely great car.
  5. No worries mate, thought my luck was in for a minute
  6. I don`t need the gear stick. I need the plastic surrounding that houses the leather gear stick gator & heater controls
  7. Oi you cheeky git, yours was dirtier than mine before we started
  8. Some great pictures Andy, looking forward to the external videos Didn`t realise how much I had lowered the car
  9. Looking forward to the pics Bob When I changed my fronts from 245/35/19 to 245/40/19 the t/c flashed a few times on the M-way @ speed then sorted itself out. Guessing it recalibrated for the difference in wheel speed. It does it everytime I switch between the stock rays & Nismos now. But after the first mile it always drives fine.
  10. Get it spent, I ordered my Vortech kit after a few shandy`s one night, If I had done some more extensive research it may have taken me a lot longer to get it on the car
  11. I`m in need of a pre facelift gear stick & heater surround (undamaged) can anyone help???????
  12. as the last couple of posts have said, 0-60 means bugger all really. my zed peaks at 430hp @ the rear wheels. From a standing start on normal tarmac with PSS`s, 6puc exedy & a good suspension setup its not alot quicker than my Seat Leon oil burner but once on the move its fairly rapid. The viscous diff really lets the Zed down @low speed & out of corners
  13. Have you checked all other cables, cam position sensor could pull this code if not plugged in correctly. Have you tried swapping the rear leads around?
  14. Either the leads or one of the tips have been squashed on the spark plugs
  15. My money is on the rear leads being switched
  16. Hope you get the problems sorted so you can fully enjoy your zed. I`ve mine 69months tomorrow & I still enjoy it every time I get in it
  17. Wow how did I miss this. Great work Vlad, I really like the half cage & seats Bet you can`t wait to get the SC finished & mapped
  18. ^^^ I think Chris is going for the turn key reliability option (like me )
  19. You should get it tuned before running the watermeth as this will lean out your afr`s. Are you running a piggyback ecu? If not how are you going to failsafe the tune if the injection fails or runs out? I ran water meth on my SC`d MX5 & it enabled me to unleash another 25-30 horny stallions

    2014 Golf R...

I`ve always been one to agree with the above but I recently bought a seat leon FR oil burner (which is practically a golf gt170) as a daily. & I love it, its so much fun to drive, one of the best front wheel drive hatches I`ve driven. I even took it to LakeZ this year & when we went on a little drive out the Z`s were left well behind when it came to the twisties

    2014 Golf R...

I like the rear end, dislike the front & the wheels
  22. & one more clip from the first afternoon outing, took a while to get the tyres back up to pressure after the lunch break
  23. Rockingham Wet Grip video, I was rubbish, really disappointed that I couldn`t manage the entire corner, perhaps a few more attempts & I would have done it
