US and UK so far, but not needed a great deal of parts yet, expect that to change once it starts to go back together. Ahahaha thats what I thought, initially my list consisted of: new bushes front shocks UK head lights UK tail lights wheels & now it has gone totally out of control I am quite honestly expecting that..... may need to steal your list of parts that you just ordered Come & have a look if you like, I guess your fairly local to me as I've seen your car @ Sly's place

Also if your planning on changing the flywheel you will need some Torx bits (can't remember the exact size)

In addition to Keyser's post, Drain the oil prior to removing the box

So this evening I got a couple of hours in the garage, got the car out as it's dry After the removal of the paint on the fuel tank yesterday I discovered that only a small amount of it ended up on the floor, the rest was dusted around the entire garage even though I had an extractor fan next to the work piece. So I decided to build a garage within the garage. It's going to be a completely sealed room to contain everything that happens within it, so no more dust. I decided to go for the deluxe version with compressed air supply, inlet & outlet filtered extractor system, fresh air fed breathing apparatus, 240v/110v power, lighting, boom box & maybe central heating as it's getting a wee bit chilly now & hopefully the 240 will fit in on it's rotisserie -

Adrian, advice from you on not wasting money? I think you misunderstood Dave. £400 uprev or: 4xtyres= £1100 brake pads= £400 fluid = £50 Fine ladies (depending on where you goo) =£20 - £20k Nice saving I'd say

Sunday update: Needed to clear some space in the garage so started with attacking the fuel tank: Blocked all the ports, brushed off all the desert dust & got to work on it, \ There was a few patches of surface rust which needed removing, & then I got a bit carried away as I want a smooth level finish, even if it won't be seen when re-fitted the small nooks & grannies were then done with a wire brush attached to a drill Then stripped a few other parts Gear gator surround Gearbox cover plate Steering column & fuel tank straps Then got to work on the rear bumper, Removed all the rubber parts, ground off the plating, cut some steel to cover the holes, then welded up the holes. Finally I ground off the excess weld to leave a 1 piece bumper Need to build a sandblasting area/box & get the inside of the bumpers cleaned up & then get some filler on them & smoothed out -

Looks as if the 240's are back in fashion, watching with great interest. Where are you sourcing your parts from Graham?

Bloody stupid, I went to the scrapyard this morning & when unloading the van I slipped when pulling something out & hit my forehand against a sharp corner of metal. Took my glove off to look & had tiny cut abut 5mm in length before my knuckle. Incredibly painful to lift my finger straight. I've done it in the past so went to A&E to get it checked, they said that I has just grazed it slightly So annoyed but thankful I didn't tear it completely -

Today has gone to pot, was hoping to get a full weekend on the car but ended up @ A&E by 11am with a grazed tendon on my hand So with my right hand pretty much out of use I opted for some less strenuous work. So setup a little workbench in the warm Then with a little help from my friend Got to work with cleaning some of the parts that I have removed from the car So managed to get all the interior parts cleaned/repaired, bar the seats & door cards. Also all the chrome exterior parts polished Hopefully the swelling on my hand will go down by tomorrow so I can get to work on the bumpers, fuel tank, steering rack, pedal box, brake/clutch cylinders -

Race? Yours is at the body shop & mine still has an engine in pieces, all the wheels, brakes, diff & 2lots of paint on it Graham 1 - 0 Darren Yeah, mine got drive in and is being completely stripped so you have a head start I think that makes it 1 all We will see what happens The only target I have is June for my bro's wedding, thats already 12months sooner than what I had first planned -
I'm not sure, the GTR knob has a shorter travel on the button than the OEM one fitted to the 370z so the calibration has to be spot on, especially if your going to shorten it (remember to take into account the nylon pivot ball that goes on top)

Any tips on how to balance the jig? or is it just down to trial and error? I see that the company I'm buying from offer a balancing/self loading kit, but how hard can it be -
Awesome bit of kit Chris, just remember GT4zed is a double F1 world champions fat Uncle, so he knows a thing or two about racing Great start, now you need a nice warm day to really get some grip from the tyres, then you can learn to heel 'n' toe

I wish they did the throttle controller for the HR engine, but unfortunately it's not available Apexi do one for the HR My 370z kept breaking down after having it UPREV'ed Personally from my experience I'd say unless you going FI it's not worth the money, but a good idea if your fitting de-cats as the car will run a little leaner with no cats

You loved playing with my knob, you looked so satisfied when we've finished! Is that the only was to change the knob on the auto then? To cut and chop the bits underneath? You don't need to shorten it but it's well worth doing, I'm sure adrian has pictures on his 78page thread! If you attempt it, be careful as the shift button works in 2 stages, it goes down a little (can;t remember the exact amount, you will need to measure with a dial gauge or something similar) for the selection of N & D with the brake initiated then another stage to select P & R. If you don't shorten the inner shaft enough, you will be able to select all gear positions whilst on the move without the brake engaged or the button depressed, this will bring up an alarm on the dash also. I can't be very specific on how it goes exactly as it was around 18months ago we did it. I wouldn't want to know how much a selector unit is from Nissan

Got a couple of hours in this evening, started here With the wings off, the front brake lines were accessible without removing the wheels, so slackened them off to drain the fluid, then went about removing the brake & clutch master cylinders (sprayed all the fittings with a penetrating oil last night) Pedal box & steering column also removed Then went about loosening all the bolts on the rear end & ended up removing the fuel tank, then the last bolt on the bumper which I couldn't easily reach with the tank in place So the weekends tasks are to clean up the parts removed, then get to work on the bumpers, need to remove the rubber & bump stops, weld up the holes, grind off all the plating & start prepping for a seamless & smooth 1 piece bumpers (the finish is still a secret) -

Without doubt the most useful piece of kit I have. Make sure they put some heavy duty braked castors on it. The addition of height adjustment was also useful. If you need any pics just pm me. Anyway looking good mate, can't wait to see it up on the rotisserie. I've ordered a heavy duty jig from handling solutions, they say that they have built them for the S30 chassis in the past so fittings won't be a problem. Can't say that I'm over enthusiastic about performing the first rollover -
We also shortened Octets knob as it was to big to handle with the GTR girth Now that was a tricky operation getting both the internal & external shaft lengths correct
