    Premium Ron

I wouldnt worry about 97, but 95 is asking for trouble. Ron: Premium Ron:
  2. Oooh yeah, thats another good one - a mate of mine was at a conference in the States and after a heavy night ended up with some pictures of him and a few strippers larking about on his phone. Fortunately he is rather tech savvy and had a sudden realisation that because his wife and kids phones (and the mother in law IIRC) were all linked, they were all sharing the same iCloud :scare: Once he got home he told all of the family that there was a new update available for iPhone but that in order to do it he needed to get all of the phones together and update them all at once. He only bloody got away with it too but its another feature that I just dont like, like downloading copies of U2 albums you havent asked for and not having a hard reset button.
  3. It was an issue with duplicates initially, some tunes I had 8 copies of. Got a duplicate remover piece of software, took a backup, did my thing and found that all duplicates (including originals) had been removed, tried to restore using backup and iTunes "synced" itself and removed the dupes from the backup too. Furthermore it still shows the tunes it removed as being on the playlist as it left the folders behind, and because it left the folders behind theres no easy way to see whats there and what isnt without going into each one in turn. I was a software test engineer for 2 years and have done system administration for over 15 years, if I get knackered by it then I dont count it as "good" software. Its also deleted stuff that me or Tasha got from places other than iTunes (burning CD's for instance) because apparently iTunes is the ONLY way you can actually get music these days, obvs.
  4. iTunes is the single most hateful piece of software in the world IMO - its crap in the first place, it was responsible for deleting half of my 40GB music collection and is the reason that I started ripping stuff (mainly to get back what Id lost). The fact that its the only player you can use with iProducts (including those that are specifically designed to only play music) kinda says it all for me. Ive seen a lot of migration from iOS to Android recently and in my experienced most people have been pleasantly surprised at how easy droid is to drive these days, its certainly a lot better than previous versions.
  5. Weird, the missus iProducts nigh on force her to upgrade and Ive seen iTunes stop working at least twice due to there being a newer version out.
  6. I used to take this view but the past few releases from Apple have been so disappointing that I honestly think droid has overtaken it. And the point with the older operating systems is that while there are new apps that wont work with older versions of droid, there are still old apps available that do, AFAIK stuff like iTunes isnt available for older OS's.
  7. If youre trying to argue the i6 is anywhere near the droid devices technically speaking you are on a hiding to nothing, as Stews picture above kinda supports As for why bother when an original iPhone will do the job ........ you could if Apple hadnt moved iOS on so it doesnt work on those devices. Im pretty sure you dont have that problem with Android, hence at least a couple of mates of mine still using HTC Desires with Droid v.2.0 (thats 1999 kids) "because it works". They have, obviously upgraded the memory too as 4GB like an original iPhone doesnt do much these days. Am I saying Apple effectively force their users into buying new versions? When you cant replace the battery, you cant upgrade the memory and the apps get updated automatically so they dont work with legacy OS's, you can draw your own conclusion When the new version doesnt represent much more than a higher price for a very similar device either, then I think its a bit out of order too.
  8. Late to the party and Im sure its been covered ........... but why would anyone want one of these things? Its barely a step on from the iPhone 5, technically its clearly outperformed by the latest (and previous 2 generations in fact) of android devices, it still has no removable memory or battery and its even more expensive than the last one was I appreciate some people like iProducts and I cant argue with that, but if youve already got a 4 or 5, why splash out on the 6?
  9. TBH I hope it doesnt for this reason, not the wording but the fact that 90% of people voting wont have the foggiest what they are actually voting for. If we take Jetpilots comment below about unelected bureaucrats, can someone tell me what law "they" have imposed on us recently? Stuff like common business law, freedom of trade and movement over borders and the power that the UK gets by being part of the club far outweigh the £8Bn it costs us each year IMO ........... but then 70% of my business is overseas so I guess I have a bit more exposure than most people
  10. Aye, although there were fakes of Racing Andrews there arent huge amounts, its more likely the wheel has just been refurbed. If you can stick a pic up of all 4 then Id imagine I could tell you if one was a fake, they usually have some minor differences but if the car and the wheels werent imported then youre probably in the clear

    BMW M135i

The M235i is very nearly as good as the 1M and sits happily alongside the M135i (4 doors vs 2 doors). The M2 will be a fricking monster, no doubt and is the replacement for the 1M (M135i was never meant to be the same) The M3 and M4 are very similar but again with different amounts of doors
  12. TBH, when youve had a pretty even handed campaign, an 85% turnout and a win by 10% AND Westminster have promised further devolution for Scotland then its probably the best demonstration of democracy in my lifetime. Anyone who gets angry about the result is a bit of a tool IMO.
  13. Music to my ears, much easier to buy wheels that fit in the first place

    BMW M135i

Totally, 100% agree, as Ive said elsewhere on this board it feels like the next generation. If youre on a personal lease then Id appreciate it if you could let me know what deal you got, it wont take much to convince me to bite the bullet ...........
  15. NOOOOO!!!! They are @*!# - look nice, sound nice but thats it, 12 mpg gets very tired very quickly and youd probably beat one round a track in a 350 anyway.
  16. No need to leave, Im still the chairman of the 200SX owners club and havent had one for 18 months
  17. Standard Evo X isnt much quicker than the 350 mate, if you arent going to mod it then Id say look elsewhere. And £325 over 5 years isnt great, £325 over 2 years is a bargain

    BMW M135i

I actually tried to put a deposit on a 1M when they were brand new but literally missed the last one by minutes, and at the moment I just dont have the money to do £40K. It is a no brainer at the moment, as they will only continue to go up in value .......... but there is already an M2 being tested which is bound to affect 1M value, we know it will be the 2 series chassis realistically with at least 400hp, and it will be achingly beautiful. Like this in fact: http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=bmw+m2&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&docid=3yWLECCQreDYRM&tbnid=vK2GyKPHKZexNM:&ved=0CAcQjRw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bimmerpost.com%2Fm2%2Fpage%2F2%2F&ei=w3cZVMyTD9LfaryBgogP&bvm=bv.75558745,d.d2s&psig=AFQjCNH-R4S_lmfmvKNh8sf3ONBBvrCjdg&ust=1411041557800612 However its also likely to be Cayman money and its going to have to be seriously good to beat that, these are all reasons why Ive taken 4 years and still havent actually got my wallet out
  19. I get what youre saying but up to £30K theres ........... M3 CSL, E92 M3, various M5's, M6, Z4M, Porsche Cayman, 996 (anything up to turbo), 997, Boxster, AMG SL/SLK, C63, E63, Jag XFR, XKR, Lexus IS-F, GT-R, Corvettes (various), Maserati 3200/4200/Quattroporte, Lotus Exige/Esprit/Evora, 3.2 Audi TT, RS4, RS6, GT86, VXR8, fast Range Rovers, TVR Sagaris/350/Tamora, Nobles, any number of Evos ............ and those are just the RWD cars out there. If youre telling me none of that appeals to you then Id keep the Zed
  20. Brakes - massive improvement, just get it done ASAP Clutch - less so, I could live without it but its not going to hurt. Brakeswise I highly recommend Carbon Lorraine if you are doing anything on track, Ive used some nice pads before but these are the tits, immediate bite no matter how hot they get, good feel and superb performance (as the back end of a 458 nearly found out at spa the other day)
  21. 37 minutes ........... S6's and RS6's are supposedly very good as it happens, apparently they dont suffer from the 20ft bonnet handling issue most Audis do
  22. Id have an M3 over an Evo X any day. Jag XF is very good and surprisingly fast, not sure how a Cayman has back seats though ............
  23. Hes right you know, GPS is no defence as far as a court is concerned.

    BMW M135i

I think you know what Im going to say ............. how can you possibly call it overrated if you havent driven it?? Ive driven M135i 3 door, 5 door, coupe, 1M, M235i and if you want the comparison E92 M3, M435i, 335i coupe and 335i saloon. Yes, I like the engine Simply put all of the 1's are stonkers (including the 2) - the engine is superb, the transmissions are brilliant and they handle very well - the 2 is noticeably sharper at the front than the 1's but they are streets ahead of the 350/370. Interiors are excellent (I did 1500km in an M135i across Europe and its up there with the best tourers Ive driven) and they are all fast cars, funnily enough the 1M is actually slower in a straight line but it absolutely comes alive in corners, its clearly a one off rather than a faster version of something else. The coupes look great IMO, the hatches are ugly but they grow on you very quickly and M sport suspension is defintiely better than standard BMW, M adaptive is a new level and I think the new auto box kicks the arse of anything BMW have done previously as well. The only thign Id knock is the lack of an LSD but £2.5K to Birds soon sorts that out The 3's and 4's feel heavier and softer but are still great cars, the 1's just feel tighter, smaller and more focused which is right up my street. I would have a M235i on my driveway right now but cant face the depreciation from brand new, Id have a 1M but can quite stretch to £40K at the moment (no depreciation is very attractive though) but if I dont have one or the other in 12 months Id be amazed.
