  1. They also made half of the staff redundant when they took over without any consultation or redundancy pay. It stinks.
  2. HSDs are among the best coikovers Ive used on any car and they come in well under £1K
  3. 240 every day - Ive driven all the others apart from a 260 and the 240 is dreamy
  4. LOL, I think the night after the trackday probably wiped away any memories I had, I dont even remember Jez having his car there TBH Ahhh, I do remember now, our girly fingers werent strong enough to get the bottom plug off but you obviously managed it eventually
  5. If you PM me your email I can send you what we did, I put it all together for a friend the other day. Was France, for a week and wasnt overly cheap but it will give you something to think about
  6. Eh? You were in a Zed at the Weekender? I dont remember seeing you there mate (I dont remember any 350's other than mine in fact) did you leave early or something?? The vids look very familiar, the Zed goes very light at the back under heavy braking and coupled with (my theory) a heavy ole flywheel it means its quite liable to go sideways on downshifts, you get used to it after a while and I imagine it looks pretty heroic from outside of the car, I know my passengers enjoy it anyway H+T will obviously help but unless youve got a ballerina foot on the clutch it will wiggle, I guess having massive tyres helps my one a bit It also means that shift lock becomes the main way of initiating a drift, as I say, once youve got your head round it its fairly easy to handle. Shows you're pushing though, good work that man
  7. Hes right you know, its a lot easier to change the crownwheel in the diff than crack the gearbox open. I ran a very short Final Drive on my old Silvia and it felt just as quick as the S13 I had alongside it despite being about 130hp down on power, worth doing for sure
  8. Great advice but we're balls deep now and all those mistakes have been made. Never too late to cancel and start again mate ........... but if it is then my advice would be to call a meeting with those who are currently f*cking up your plans, take a deep breath and tell them what the actual score is i.e. this is our day and you are making us dread it. Best case everyone appreciates and gets off your back, worst case you fall out with them so dont have to invite them anymore. I think thats called a win/win situation
  9. Moneygram is the one we tend to use, but as others have said, WU is safe as long as you know who you are sending money to
  10. Ahh, Mr O'Quick, an excellent choice mate Im surprised youve found it swapping ends, they are a lot easier to catch than an S14 IMO, particularly your one on cheese string suspension HSD's, decent pads and braided brake lines are well worth it if youre doing track work, these cars also seem to benefit from having proper good tyres as well. Will look forward to bumping into you at a track somewhere (not literally)
  11. LOL @ crazy, thats not crazy.
  12. Exactly what I do, use each one once a year and then pay it straight back off, you never know when you might suddenly need 10/20/30K and its nice to know its there as a safety net
  13. Take some control, its your wedding ........... dont invite anyone you arent both agreed on, try and limit family to as few as possible and generally do what you want to do. If youre paying for it yourself then anyone who moans can jog right on, if one of your sets of parents are paying and its causing stress then sack them off and do what you want to do. You only get to do it once and despite what they might think its not about the mother in laws - Id put your foot down with a heavy hand and tell them what YOU want is what is going to happen. I did and it worked like a charm, I had an amazing time PRO TIP: If you can manage it, do all of the planning outside of table decorations and wedding dresses yourself, its actually not that bad but as soon as you involve the bride and her mother it becomes carnage, trust me
  14. So if they get their £2m, do I get my money back as well then? Thought not.
  15. Superb, my village is not dissimilar, they were talking for weeks after a Rasta came into the pub the other day
  16. Mate, that says £1000, and the last set of Rotas I bought had the spigots and nuts chucked in, you could buy 4 wheels with different widths and offsets at a time if you wanted to as well. A pair of 5mm spacers is about £15 and used tyres dont ever sell for anything like what you paid for them, sorry
  17. I know that drinking, blasphemy, watching porn, staring at girls, swearing, taking the mickey, blatant self indulgence and thinking the Bible is a load of crap arent exactly virtues and I do most of them at least once an hour, if not more. Ive discussed this with devotees, mainly Christian TBF and none of them approve of my lifestyle choices or my comments about Christianity, its innate hypocrisy and its outdated life advice and the response is either to tell me that the Im wrong because the lord is all powerful and all knowing, or to actually become angry about it if they will discuss it at all. The fact that everything I do is for my own comfort and benefit first and foremost and that Im open about it is not something they seem comfortable with, unlike Bhuddism for instance (which I think is a lot more in tune with society today) Basically, Christianity is a big list of stuff you cant do, rather than spiritual guidance on how to get the best out of life like it should be.
  18. On religion - Ive actually actively stopped going to churches for anything other than weddings and funerals, I genuinely find myself getting angry at the contradictions ("your life is preordained by God but you have freedom of choice") and some totally outdated and terrible advice on things like homosexuality, forgiveness and keeping love in your heart (whatever that means) and Ive actually walked out recently. Ive had a few people accuse me of being disrespectful but once I expain they understand. Generally I totally see the point of it when there was an uncontrolled and uneducated populace, either as education on rights and wrongs or if you're a cynic a way of collecting tax but in the modern day it doesnt have a place, we are much more self aware and educated now and the 2000 year old writings of some dudes are at best outdated and at worst downright wrong. The fact that people will tell me that Im wrong in the way I choose to live my life because they take this outdated and unproven advice to be correct is downright scary. Why the hell should I live my life denying myself pleasures and experiences because a man in sandals decided it was bad 2000 years ago?
  19. Removing the air filter can sometimes work, if the lambada sensors are foobed they will be cheaper to replace than cats too
  20. Pretty easy one TBH ......... "Hi, Im calling about the car" "Which car?" "Bye Mr dealer" And anyway, whats the problem? If the guy is an actual dealer youve got 28 right or return, if he not a "proper" dealer I dont see how thats different from buying private anyway?
  21. Handbrake - nice to have but not necessary IMO, there are very few occasions (slow right angle corners, extended a drift where speed is reducing) you actually need one, the money would be far better spent on lock mods IMO. Ive run every diff you can think of on a variety of 200SX's and actually find the Zed LSD is pretty good, a 2 way would be amazing but they aint cheap. Other than that they are a piece of cake to slide about, and due to the torque curve I dont think they are lacking in oomph either, if I was looking at making a Zed into a comp car Id be trying to save weight first and foremost
  22. F1 draws in £2bn a year, its ****ing ridiculous that they cant sustain more than 4 teams (Macca, Fezza, RB/TR, Williams and Mercedes) ............ and Bernies solution? "Lets make 3 car teams, so costs are effectively increased by 50% over a season". Prick.
  23. Dont see the big deal TBH - my neighbours park in front of my house, the dustmen wake me up when they come round and the kids seem to only be able to communicate in shrieks round here but thats part of village life IMO. Appreciate that fireworks scare animals (the missuses stable looked like a dirty protest on Sunday ) but so do low flying planes, big crowds and loud cars. FFS man, cats get flattened by cars but we dont ban them from driving about, do we? As someone else said, its only a couple of days a year and a couple of hours at most, Im sure there are bigger issues to worry about .......... and if there isnt youre in a nice place
  24. Yeah, its like fake paintings or watches, they all look the same, right?
