Storage of a second set of wheels and tyres, finding the time and the vehicle to go get them changed in Im on both sides of the fence - I drive a lot in Austria, Germany and Southern Europe in general where its a requirement to have winter tyres and I can definitely see the value, if everyone has them the roads move a lot better and its obviously a whole lot safer. However, Im not so sure theres a huge point here as even if you have them fitted 95% of the other people on the road wont have and will drive into you/block your path/get well stuck and youre knackered anyway. That said the 350Z is easily the worst car Ive ever had the displeasure of using in snow and if you have any plans of using it in more than 2mm of snow then winter tyres are pretty much essential

Known as the "drifters choice", its an epic amount of toolage for the money -
Aye, thats the Zed, probably the coolest, Ive also got an MR2, Range Rover, GTI-6 and a 207 Diesel (for the fuels). Seeing as how this is a drift thread though ........... My old S13, specced up to the 9's: My Onevia convertible drifter, it was amazing, totally unique worldwide: And the current one, 328i with M50 manifold, welder, coilovers and totally lack of ground clearance so smashes into the floor all the time: Im supposed to be picking up a 135i in the next couple of weeks so its likely the 328 will be for sale soon as well .........

Nope, sponsored a car for the first couple of legs and didnt get anything we paid for - no vinyls on the car, no banners, no promo girls and more importantly no reply when we chased it up. Fortunately it wasnt a lot of money but it caused me to look a bit further and find these stories which dont exactly inspire confidence - its more the lack of communication/deleting people on FB/not actually bothering to answer any accusations that worries me. Anyone can **** something up but if you dont try to resolve it then it looks very suss IMO.
-
Your call mate, Id steer well clear though ......... and wish I did last time TBH. Theres too many **** ups and not enough apologies to risk it IMO.
-
So youve paid then? Seriously man, this wasnt " a bit of a **** up", this was a full on con and even the staff have admitted it. Theres more here: https://www.facebook.com/LADbible/posts/756264551087404, even their Twitter feed is private which isnt the usual way of making the most of free marketing ........
-
Eeeep! That doesn't sound good at all. Its about as bad as it gets TBH, Ive heard it from a number of sources, we are trying to get our money back but not holding out much hope.

Errr, yes - we sponsored a car last year and they arent quite what they cracked up to be ........... PLEASE READ AND SHARE! In 2015, Pure Rally will run two rallies. The first, from London to Edinburgh in May, and the second from London to Croatia in July. But how will they compare to 2014's Pure Rally Marbella... Pure Rally Marbella set off on July 4th 2014. Everything that follows was advertised as being included - so what happened? * Laps at Dunsfold Park (Top Gear test track) - NOT INCLUDED * Police escort from Dunsfold to the Eurotunnel - NOT INCLUDED * Team of glamour models to party with on the rally - NO WHERE TO BE SEEN * Laps at Nurburgring - PARTICIPANTS HAD TO PAY FOR THEIR OWN LAPS * DJ Spoony and MC PSG to play Prague party - DID NOT PLAY * DJ Fenton Gee to play at Oceana Club Marbella - DID NOT PLAY * Mechanics from 360 Motorsport in case of breakdowns - DID NOT COME ON RALLY * Goodie bags worth £1000 - NOT GIVEN * Security team to watch over cars - NO SECURITY Furthermore St. Tropez was REMOVED from the route and each participant was asked to pay a further £285 - just TWO WEEKS before the rally was due to start! And told that if they didn't, the rally would not go ahead. After learning what had happened on the Marbella rally, I decided not to go on the Ibiza one - which was later CANCELLED at the last minute anyway. If you are planning on going on a rally next year, avoid Pure Rally. The only thing pure about it is the disappointment experienced by those who took part. PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE! You might also want to check out what GTROC thought of it: http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/272465-pure-rally.html I hope you havent paid anything yet ..........

Advice needed: building a pair of 350Z endurance racers
docwra replied to ShorsecRacingBen's topic in 350Z General
Id advise speaking to RJN, they used to run 350Z's in GT4 and are probably rather better placed then most of us to help -
And they pay me and everyone else everything they owe and everyone starts getting a flying pig into work in the morning ........
-
Whatever you want to do but Id try it as is (with coilovers anyway) to start with mate, if youve played before you will know what you are looking for. As I said, Im 70mm or so lowered without camber arms, I need to be going fast to drift in the dry, theres a lot more grip here than an E36 (which I also have sitting outside)
-
Ill believe it when I see it. If I was a gambling man Id be looking at Audi though, Ive heard a few interesting rumours.
-
Actually starting to get angry here, some proper crap advice being spewed. OP, man up and accept you cocked up, life is ll a learning curve - you wont buy another car without checking oil and asking questions again, it might save you lot more than £1500 next time. People suggesting beatings, taking people to court and intimidatory meets, youre idiots quite frankly. The onus is on the buyer to check what he is getting is right, the seller probably didnt even know there was a problem - there certainly wasnt when the car was picked up or Nelson wouldnt have paid for it.
-
I was chatting to a couple of mates who are spending most of their time in Monaco these days dog sitting for a rich friend. The dog is nice, the house is amazing, but the Bentley Continental AND the Vanquish in the garage are the best bit, apparently ..........
-
Mine is pretty low but Im happy without camber arms, I do a lot of grip work on track as well and TBH Im probably leaning more to that for setup. Power and torque are more then enough until you start competing Stock LSD is very good for a stock LSD but maybe a bit woolly on transition, welder is better but Ive heard they can start eating driveshafts once its gone 3 way. Coilovers make life a lot easier, the rest you can leave until you get decent, Ive had my fairly stock one sideways in 5th at Spa without major pant soilage
-
Short of torching the car and claiming it was an accident Im not entirely sure how they would help here, can you clarify a little?
-
Never buy a car with an engine light unless you 100% know exactly what it is. Ive gone home and returned to a sellers car with an OBD reader to check before, youre mad if you dont IMO.
-
Its not going to be down to 3 PSI, its not going to be mixed tyres. Alignment is a safe beter, if not then bushes or similar but if youve never had it aligned you might as well get it done
-
Loving the suggestion of going and beating someone after youve bought a car with a CEL and then driven it 3 hours without checking the oil, if it was my doorstep you arrived at Id be tempted to get the first punch in. Even if the seller knew there was a problem he wont admit it now, this is unfortunately one of lifes learning experiences. And as for celebs, do you think they would put through an emergency bill of parliament if Peter Andre bought a Mondeo and the head gasket went? Theres nothing illegal happened here, just bad luck

Any one been to wembely stadium for music event?
docwra replied to jimboy2's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I do it quite a lot, it was well worth it for Rolling Stones at Hyde Park last year for instance but sometimes its a pisstake - Ive been offered: Hospitality Package: £399 pp plus 10% plus vat • Reserved premium seat in the Bobby Moore Club seating blocks on Level One • Access to hospitality lounge from turnstile opening and throughout show • Relaxed and informal 'lounge style' with settees, casual tables and chairs • Complimentary bar including beer, wine, and soft drinks for three hours prior to main act and for one hour post show • Buffet menu including a selection of gourmet burgers, chef’s deli, grill station, salad garden and choice of desserts • One hour post show party with dance floor and music • Complimentary concert programme (one between two) so basically a £100 ticket, a burger and a few beers before and after (not during) for £400. Errrr, no thanks. -
Brilliant. Will he be paying the wages and redundancy owed to the best part of 200 staff as well? I honestly cant understand how easily people seem to be able to ignore that a lot of folks lost livelyhoods and houses over this, and still continue to fill the pockets of the bastards that made it happen.

Been to a couple now, if youre on the pitch then its not too bad as long as youre in the front half, seats towards the front and about halfway seem to be OK too, but anything back from that is poor at best in my experience Ive just turned down Foo hospitality because it was seated, if Im going I want to be on the pitch Shouldnt have that problem for Fleetwood Mac in May at O2 though, I actually did the opposite as if youre on the floor there you can have trouble seeing -
In before Gangzoom comes and waxes lyrical ............ They are excellent, excellent cars - engine is brilliant even before mapping, they are fairly economical, comfortable and really rather fast too. Only things Id mention is that I think you (as in Ekona) would find them a bit softly sprung/damped and I imagine you would notice the lack of LSD even more if you stiffened it up. The only car Ive driven that comes close is an XF and they are even softer, I cant imagine many people who buy E9x 335's finish up disappointed

Bringing this back up to date - the pictures above were taken in Wales, and after driving it around there for a few days I decided that I was mad to sell it, hence the lack of updates However, it is time to move on so its back up for sale again, since the original post Ive replaced the front pads with Carbon Lorraine RC6 (£240!) and the rears with DS2500's (not much less than £240!), the topmount has been fixed but it has a few more K's on it, its showing just over 150 now Id consider part ex for anything easier to sell, Ill take offers and Im looking to buy the next car within a month so let me know if youre interested
