Hes quick, but more importantly he knows what hes doing and why hes doing it. Ive done a bit of tuition myself, once youve got the lines sorted it it tends to just be shouting "brake later!" "turn in later!" and "POWER!" quite a lot

If you had £15k for a fast daily - what would it be?
docwra replied to georgerobertfreeman's topic in Other Cars
As a daily? ROFL, exact words I was going to post. R32 GTR's are delicate to say the least, and a 260Z is a bit rare and a bit rusty, although having recently had the pleasure of taking a 240Z for a rip Id imagine you could live with its performance. -
Quite, but thats takes years of practice ......... although if that had been me in that situation it would have been foot in, hands off, crowd go wild as I head up the straight in 3rd on the lockstops, obviously If youre spinning the best thing you can do is get the clutch in, this will straighten the car up, and then you can get on the brakes, cars stop a lot quicker in straight lines. I remember spinning at Mallory on Gerards once, got the clutch in real quick and then pi**ed myself as I continued on the same arc but backwards, watching the guy who had just been right on my ass sideways shitting himself

I do Eurotunnel regularly and have done Ferries too ........... .......... and thats a lot less than 10cm If youre on a ferry is might be worth letting them know you are low and they then put you in with the lorries but on Eurtunnel the loaders will send any low cars to the lower level anyway. My biggest problem is width, my wheels scrape down the tracks on the tunnel

RESULT!!! Any more information on how this has worked, thats awesome work from the banks though

1st guy hasnt come back so I guess hes not interested, second guy was looking on behalf of a mate in Europe and really rated it, fingers crossed ........ I use Damian at DI Racing down Fen Road, and Cambourne Vehicle Services at Bourn for just about everything, they are both mates and both very good

LOL, he said fast, its only just over 200hp isnt it? Not quite up there with an M5 anyway -
Polo (who may still be on here actually) has just specced a 3 pump system for his JZ driftcar, 2 for the tank and one for a swirl pot, £79 each apparently as one wouldnt feed the power he is making

Then Id say hes hiding something, if its a good car then that will be what people will see. If its only 10 minutes then its hardly out of his way is it? As I said, Ive used neutral ground to meet before, but you can also use it to hide any cold start/smoking problems, sounds like one to walk from IMO -

My brother was sitting next to me when my beemer went a little bit sideways halfway through 5th (you can work it out ) the other day, his reaction was rather sudden to say the least Both mine and my missuses grandma's (combined age 171) told me to "go faster" when they came out as well, good old girls -

Yep, when we sold my brothers Evo we deliberately did in our local pub carpark, with a few mates inside said pub, just in case like .......... I really like Wills suggestion actually, thats a brilliant idea. Non clean car isnt a good sign but you could also argue hes not going to be trying to hide anything either -

Not for £15K A mate of mine who's opinion I really respect likes Z4's, hes just bought a 3.0 ......... but seeing as I was in exactly this position until recently I think I can help E46 M3 - getting on now and a bit slow Cayman - amazing handling but restricted on practicality, not pant wettingly fast either E60 M5 - fat and juicy, but quite awesome, for E39 see E49 M3 E92 335i - ace car, bit soft for my taste Evo 8/9 - also awesome, but service every 3500 miles is a bit much Evo X - Not as good as the 9 996 - see E46 comments again Any TVR - not a daily So I bought an E82 135iM coupe with Bilstein and M3 suspension, remapped to 430hp and 525lb/ft, its done 72K miles but fits every other part of the bill and after 3 months is still terrifying me on a daily basis. Its also a pretty rare car so hopefully wont lose much, if any money, and it does 28mpg on a decent run In all honesty I find it difficult to look past BMW's these days, they are just so good at everything its almost depressing. -

Or you could just tune the Fezza of course, then it would leave the TT Zed .......... but as others have said, all this is irrelevant -

One of my usual crew had to get a driver to pull over at Cadwell last week so he could be sick, unfortunately the GoPro in the car behind wasnt recording though £170K chassis "doesnt come close" to £8K chassis. Really? -
Ive run DS2500, Project Mu NS and Carbon Lorraine RC6 on my 350Z and Ive got Pagid RS29 on my BMW ......... the Pagids are awesome but the CL's probably have a bit more bite from cold, Ive heard very good things about Carbotech as well ETA: They might be RC8 rather than RC6 actually .........

Easy. Think of a 1980's coffee advert and youre mostly there Are paddling pools allowed now then? They have been banned for the last 8 years or so Id thought? We are levelling up even further this year, plans are under way for a beer pump/cooler unit and we have a cunning plan for power too -

My favourite was "youll have to stop, Ive got neck ache" after a couple of laps of Donington -
Ive been using the cheapest batteries I can find with guarantee, Platinum Prestige and they do the job. As Ive got a fair few cars flat batteries are difficult to avoid so I end up getting about 4 replaced every year, once they have gone flat they are never the same again

By that token then, what if it was a cat? Cats are a little bit different .......... but if the dog ate the cat I still wouldnt blame it
-
Errrr ....... if it was an angry dog would you be saying the neighbour was unreasonable? Im with Ekona, if you cant keep control of your animals then you cant blame people for getting pi**ed off. And if the neighbours dog does eat her ......... you cant really blame the dog, can you?

Ill probs be heading over later this year, probably October - DN days are awesome, make sure you have a gopro

Stupid boy, wheels only expand outwards I dont think anything will expand enough to make any difference TBH, we are talking microns here, but it never hurts to be safe
