May has said he wont come back without Clarkson, confirms the door is open for Clarkson but apparently they are working on a new show with new presenters http://www.bbc.co.uk...t-arts-32431956

My cousin (29 years old the bastard) has also recently spent the profits from a recent house renovation on a 997 Turbo, he reckons at worst he will lose maybe 5K from driving it about for a bit under a year. Nice work if you can get it ...........

Mostly been said but Id add that 20/14 springs are mental hard for anything this side of a Bentley, and if your rear is toeing in I doubt that would be helping either

I have a friend who has made £45,000 in just under 18 months on a GT3RS, one who made 15K in 18 months on a 964 Cup and another who in fairness got a bargain but reckons hes made at least £10K on his 240Z in the 6 months hes owned it. HAGI reckon the limited edition Porsches have gone up an average 24% in the last year, and unlike high risk investments these cars are always going to have some value as well. Not driving them is the same as not drinking investment wine, or putting art and jewelery in a safe deposit i.e. something that goes on every day. Likewise, my brother bought an Evo8, put 15K miles on it over 3 years and sold it for more than he bought it for, Ive no doubt our MR2, Range Rover and GTI-6 will all make a grand or two more than we paid when we come to sell them on in a few years. I doubt a Z8 was £28K in 2000 BTW, it was still in production at the time and I remember my boss paying close to 100K for one, I think you might mean the Z1 If you know of a bank account that will return 33% annual interest then Im all ears, really I am

Youre a fair man

But why, when every car in front and behind the artic was happy to wait, did the caravan driver think that didnt apply to him? This is the whole issue for me, not when or whether people merge into lanes, but the penis who decides he is mopre important than everyone else and cocks it up for everyone.

Ive got a mate with an ST185 Sainz that hes just about to stick in a garage and leave for 10 years, fingers crossed eh?

You know that Ekona and I both have Mk3's and use them as track cars, right? Can someone tell me what Im missing as here seems to be something wrong with them?
-
Thats what is required IMO. Exactly that
-
Say what? Easily the best of the bunch IMO, one of the finest handling cars Ive had the delight of driving and you can pick them up for close to Mk2 money these days as well. Totally impractical but as close to a real sportscar as you are going to get. I thought they lost the plot with the Mk2, I mean, 152hp, 1300KG and a hardtop does not a sportscar make .......

But they wouldnt though, theres only space for one car to go past the contraflow at a time and thats the limiting factor. The traffic has to get into single file at some point and as long as thats not 2 miles before the blockage its not going to make much difference. Add that to the typical pigheaded British driving attitude and youd have everyone in one lane trying to get as far as possible before cutting in, and everyone in the other lane driving 2mm from the guy in front's bumper stopping that from happening.

This is it, in Europe they give you a sign to show you how to do it and it works well. In the UK everyone tears up to the front of the queue and cocks it up for everyone else.

Sorry, I dont agree at all - theres exactly the same situation coming into my village every single day where a dual carriageway goes back into single before some lights. 98% of drivers sit in the inside lane as we all know the score, but theres 2% that go flying down the outside and then try to push in right at the end. This slows the whole thing down for everyone and causes a fair amount of angst thats just totally unnecessary, everything moves much better when it stays single lane. I can understand if its a a broken down car or something unexpected and definitely when theres a "merge in turn sign" in play, but when its clear whats going to happen what gives people like the Merc driver the right to make everyone elses journey longer?

Any limited edition or hardcore Porsche, the Boxster Spyder is proper affordable at the moment and GTRS's have gone up 50-80% int he last 18 months from what Ive seen, RSR's are money 240Z's, R32/34 GTR Any limited edition Ford - Focus RS particularly, the RS500's are already going up in value Any limited edition BMW, see CS, CSL, 1M Integrales Basically, anything thats limited edition and halfway decent .......... but for some leftfield suggestions: Nissan Figaro Mk 1 Audi TT Mk 1 MX5 Convertible E92 M3 Audi S2, RS2 Nissan 200SX S13/RS13 already going up, S15 wont be long FD RX7 BMW E39 535d, M5 and maybe the M6 3rd gen MR2 VXR/Elise/Exige All got something a bit unique about them IMO, if you stick one in a garage for 10 years youre bound to make money.

Dont they have noise problems at Mallory? Sounds good, I might even be tempted to get up there myself - cheers

Driven winter tyres in Europe a lot and if I had to do that 7 months a year Id walk. Also never in 20 years of driving failed to get where I wanted to because of adverse weather, theres been a couple of times Ive struggled to get off my driveway but thats all. Im not saying they dont work but if youre running winter tyres on a 350Z when its 20 degrees (like yesterday) youre mad.

You buy the missus a car thats purely transport, and keep driving what the hell you like.
-
Call Chips away mate, the little stuff they cant be beaten on and if they will do a whole bumper youll probs find they are best for that too
-
Controversially, if I was buying another one I wouldnt be looking to spend any more than 5K - mileage isnt a concern as the engines are pretty understressed, Id replace suspension on anything I bought and they dont seem to rust much either. I know the HR's have more power (but less torque ) and better interiors, but Id rather save the money. Im probably not your average owner though

Thing is, these are actually quite useful terms and sometimes more accurate than the "other" version - a vacation can just be time off of work, where a holiday suggests youve actually been somewhere for your annual break, for instance. Ive been saying "heads up" when playing football since I was a kid, my bad although not grammatically correct is a lot easier than saying "Im awfully sorry, I believe the mistake in that instance was mine", Zee is how the entire rest of the world says the letter "Z" and rotors are the rotating part of the brake TBF ........

Indeed, either thats a bit of a stretch or your 335i was a lot worse to drive than my 135i is

new buyer, seen one nissan fairlady with no service book should o buy?
docwra replied to tiffanylee's topic in 350Z General
Word of warning on the semi auto's - they may have been good in 2003 but in 2015 they will feel rubbish compared to more modern version, I could see that becoming rapidly annoying. -
Shyte one, can happen to anyone and sounds like you were unlucky in the aftermath too, gutted for you man Are you doing buyback from insurance company? Happy with their payout?

Its great to see you are so effusive about your Leaf, but the reason youre happy is because it suits your situation, the point I was making was that your situation is not the same as pretty much anyone I know, for instance, this is probably why you arent worried about the same things as everyone else. Id love to get the bus to work, but its a 4 hour each way trip and about £22 a day, not to mention I wouldnt be able to go out and get lunch, visit clients etc. once I was at the office. I commute about 35 miles each way so would be terrified of running out of juice, particularly as there arent any charging points near me, not everyone has £15K to chuck on a new car either. Never mind £55K for a Tesla, running cost reduction or not Put it another way, if we ran a poll on here as to who would swap their 370Z for 100hp shopping car I think we call know the outcome. If it was financially viable then Id certainly look at chopping our 207 diesel second car in for one, but then what car are we going to use for 50+ mile journeys when fuel costs are more important? Its very similar to the early mobile phones for me - amazing tech, undoubtedly the future but not quite at the point that your average man in the street can adopt due to range, cost and charging.

ARBs or worn bushes were my first thought there, assuming the shocks are still actually working and stuff
