  1. Straight up, Id try a bit of time at a drift day, you learn so much about how the car behaves when under/oversteering and it becomes much more comfortable to be past the limit. I remember a trackday we did at Blyton a few years back, after it had raised the 3 of us that drifted were literally seconds per lap faster than everything else despite not having the fastest cars, we were just a lot happier when the car was out of shape.
  2. I still think anyone who thinks Khan would come close to Mayweather needs their head examined. So does Floyd Senior: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2453055-floyd-mayweather-camp-talks-up-easy-amir-khan-for-final-career-fight
  3. If its stem seals then just get the stem seals done, I dont know about VQ's but why do you need to take the head off to do it? In fact you dont need to take the head off http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/wolfpdf/VQ_SPRING_REMOVER_INST.pdf Failing that, ask yourself how much it costs to get an engine from Ireland to the UK, then ask yourself why this guy is selling a working VQ for £600.
  4. I actually think Khan is the only boxer that could beat him, September is suppose to be Mayweathers last fight date but Khan will be fasting so won't be able to fight then. Khan wouldnt know what hit him, total gulf in class there. Mayweather has beaten everyone who has come up against him, but I think he missed out on being the "greatest" by waiting too long to fight Manny
  5. Im the Chairman of the owners club, what do you want to know? Cheaper to get to decent power and will nearly always be faster in a straight line but the Z handles better and has a more grunty engine, best bet is to take one for a rip and see what you think. There are other options that Ive become aware of recently, specific long headers and work on the inlet manifold that might see 350hp with a map, but youll have spent more than a supercharger to get there so maybe not the way forward
  6. It wasnt tight really, I was hoping they would stand toe to toe and beat each other up but Mayweather figured out how to neutralise Manny and did it. I Had Mayweather ahead in 6, maybe 7 rounds, although he was less aggressive he was so in control of the fight it was ridiculous. Mayweather did what he needed to do and no more, which is a shame when you consider the size of the fight but it doesnt mean he didnt win.
  7. LOLOLOLOLOL, they just went to Eton and kissed a load of arse, that all, non of the major leaders have done anything world shaking before getting into politics However, the best and brightest should be running the country and when you have the danger of losing your job every 4 years and the sacrifices you have to maker to get anywhere near the top there needs to be fair recompense, and £69K aint a lot in London terms.
  8. Hahah, small world mate, how are you doing? Fake Ben Taylor turned up on here the other day as well, its a trackday invasion You sold the MX, right? Whats the spec on the S2K?? Helical/Torsen diffs work fundamentally differently from viscous and mechanical diffs, they effectively transfer power to the wheel that has best grip where the traditional LSD tries to keep the wheels turning at the same rate regardless of grip. Torsens are better for track and grip, the traditional LSD is better for sliding and dicking about, you can guess which I prefer
  9. Haters gonna hate - I had a race with an F21 M5 the other day, Im still alive, so is he, big deal Moar 306 info required, I have a GTI-6 and I love it
  10. All UK 350Z's have a "traditional" viscous LSD, your S2K had a Torsen diff which is why it felt different. Hence why 350Z's are much better for going sideways than S2K's
  11. 53/47 distribution, its hardly a 911
  12. Im fed up with this holier than though bullshit - if the guy had the same experience on a racetrack or closed road would it have been due to something else? Of course not, if you really feel the need to have a pop at someone the Daily Mail has a comment section, get yourself over there. If you were on a curve and getting a move on its possible that the weight shift from the back to the front as you braked (broke?) meant that the rear tyres no longer had the traction they did, hence why they let go, its actually a recognised drift initiation technique called brake drift. Ive found on track my car is very susceptible to losing the back end under heavy braking/downshifting, certainly worse than some other cars Ive had, if you do need to brake while going round a corner then you need to be as gentle as possible so as not to upset the balance of grip too quickly. If youre right on the limit then even lifting off the throttle by a fraction can be enough to make the car go sideways, braking will obviously have a much greater effect.
  13. Aye, we have one too, awesome little cars
  14. Yeah yeah, IIRC my boggo 306 wasnt much off your Clio either
  15. Good to see youre Fake over here too mate Ben is a good mate of mine and one of our trackday group, his 172 was damn fast but not quite as fast as a certain 350Z The plenum work is very interesting for me, has anyone else on here ever done anything similar?

    Porsche Cayman

Sorry, did I just read "leaf spring" on a car thats challenging a GT3? Price difference goes a long way to help that and it looks sooooo good as well
  17. Quality, always love seeing someone getting out there and doing it Is that a regular thing where you live or a one off?
  18. Jesus, that vid is some watching. The number of people continuing to cane past people who are out of control/spinning added to the lack of skill on display is terrifying, even the drifters looked pretty shonky. Proper trackdays are NOT, repeat NOT anything like that for anyone wondering
  19. Why? This isnt some highly strung Italian thoroughbred or an early 90's hot hatch, its an unstressed, well made and apparently fairly rustproof car, I dont think theres much thats not blindingly obvious you could wrong on. Look at the standard faults, its banana arms, droplinks and clicking axles (and still no-one has been able to tell me why this is a problem), none of which is more than a couple of hundred quid to fix. If its got some service history, doesnt sound like a percussion instrument when driving and doesnt blow smoke then its unlikely theres anything lurking to catch out unsuspecting buyers.
  20. You might be better off fixing what you have, 350Z headlights are SERIOUSLY expensive, even secondhand.
  21. Thats 100% a write off and I wouldnt think it would be viable to repair even if you wanted to, gutted Next time make sure there are nuns/schoolchildren at the busstop and make sure you go spinning through it taking them all out, would make a much better story.
  22. Been a while since I checked in here, but you took 8KG off the wiring loom but left the A/C and soundproofing in? Do you have too much time on your hands or something? Ive found the "fast" cars not moving over on trackdays a problem too, only thing I can suggest is making the car look meaner, more like a race car or more unique at the front, people tend to remember when they get mostered by something once and are much quicker to move over next time
  23. Porsche Shelford has a Aston garage right next to it, Im surprised they dont get more people just driving off the road as they go past
  24. Have a quick search, theres another guy on here living in Croatia, just outside Zagreb IIRC - what are you doing out there? Good luck, youve defintiely got better and emptier roads to use it on than here
  25. The Pacer was messed up, why spend $5500 wrapping a $3500 car and then only have the wrap visible in the dark? Why bang all of that money on a fairly crap interior and then buy poverty spec wheels? In fact, why buy a Pacer in the first place, youd struggle to sell a mint one for what the wrap cost lol:
