Just to echo Ekona, P Zeros are rubbish for the money, I cant understand why they get fitted to so much OE. Im not going to check for you but Id imagine the Kumho KU39, Eagle F1 and Yoko S-drive are all ballpark, Id take any of them over a P Zero

We used to have 2 GTI-6's, one badged up and one debadged. The debadged one never drew any attention from anything but that little bit of plastic on the back on the other one was like a magnet for Saxos and Corsas, mental. Weirdly since I bought my 135i the only stuff thats wanted to play has been serious iron - GTR, 997 Turbo, new M5, Jag XFR, a couple of 997's, exactly the sort of thing that wouldnt have had any of it when I was driving the 350, strange.

It takes a lot of money, and a lot of faith you are going to sell enough tickets, and a fair amount of organising behind the scenes but they are so much fun it makes it all worthwhile. TBH if we are going to do something next year Id almost certainly be looking for another club to partner up with, can you think of any that might be suitable?

Cheers guys, obviously we try to just break even on the event, and we need to make sure we give something back to our members while keeping the cost down as much as we can. I forgot to mention that price includes a years membership to the SXOC which opens up discounts from a lot of part/insurance/etc. suppliers, if any of you can make it Im sure you wont regret it

Having tried 18's all round and 19's all round .......... 18's on the front, 19's on the back
-
Ive not owned one but know plenty that have ........ when they work they are great but they have problems with just about everything. They probably will achieve classic status but I doubt you could find a standard one these days. Rarer but much better is the Mazda 323 GTR, even rarer than that is a Starlet 4x4 and youre bordering on Evo 4/5 money too. If you can live with FWD the Glanzas are excellent too

As some will know Im the bossman at SXOC (Nissan 200SX Owners) and every year we put on a big weekend event at a track somewhere - last year we did Snetterton, the year before was Anglesey which a few 350Z members came along too and had a great time by all accounts. This year we have gone even bigger and have booked Rockingham near Corby, the UK's only banked circuit and Im here to see whether any of you lot fancy it In short, heres the deal: Exclusive access to Rockingham on Saturday 22nd August on International layouts so at least 1, if not 2 corners of banking included Totally Open Pitlane day from 0900 to 1800 Free on site camping for 21, 22, and 23 August with toilets, showers and electric hookups Free food - dinner on Friday, cooked breakfast and a hog roast on Saturday and a barbie on Sunday The legendary SXOC entertainment - free shot bar, professional DJ, quiz, dancing girls, male strippers, free gold bullion for each attendee* The similarly legendary SXOC charity raffle - £1000's of prizes (top 2 last year were a Go Pro Hero3+ and 50% off a set of Rotas) all for a good cause Slightly childish "Its a Knockout" style games involving girls and boys in bikinis Live feed for British Drift Championship final round so you can stand around telling everyone how you'd have done it better Drinking - no matter how bad you get, you will not be the drunkest/most embarrassing/most incapable there by a long shot, trust me I know what youre thinking, youre thinking "But Doc, a Rockingham OPL on a Saturday in March, never mind August is over £200, I could never afford this badboy" ......... well thats where you are wrong Mister (Miss), as we are offering all of the above for the amazing price of £175 :scare: Yes, you read it right, £175 for all of the above at one of Europes premier circuits in the middle of August, spectators can come for free but if youre bringing your other half or a mate for the weekend its another £30 to cover food and camping and stuff. Im a fool to myself, I really am, mind your head as these prices are LOW. Other good stuff: This is a members club trackday, so people know each other and the standard of driving and politeness is absolutrly impeccable, its ideal for your first time out or if just want to see what a proper nice trackday is like - we have only offered it to MXNutz and you guys outside of the club as we dont want dickheads turning up We arent about racing each other - last year we had a Fiat Panda, a Mercedes ML430 and a 1990'2 Jag XJ6 on track, its open to allcomers 105dB noise limit Spectating on whatever is happening on Sunday and pointing out how we were faster Some serious machinery to watch go past you really fast Chance to meet me Seriously, this is an excellent event thats made by the people who come, if you can stay around for the festivities youll definitely see that, if not youre still getting a bargain trackday at one of Europes best circuits. If you have any Q's then fire away, for booking or any more information the SXOC thread can be found here: http://www.sxoc.com/...ng-Thread/page1 * last 3 subject to availability

5K is top end, even for tyres made from orange oil, spiderwebs and the empty thoughts of spinsters (SRSLY, those are the other ingredients) I went through 7 sets of reasr in the first 13 months I had the 350Z, cant think why :o
-
IMO anything thats doing 15K on the rear is either solid rubber or not getting enough abuse
-
OK then This one is amazing: https://youtu.be/2EUiwho_Ync I was going to have a little race with a mate with aGSX-R1000, this has put me right off
-
And seeing as Im here, I dont want to pick on anyone but its like suspension - most people have used maybe 1 or 2 different varieties, and then stuck with what they are happy with. Theres nothing wrong with that but it doesnt necessarily qualify you to comment, on my 350Z alone Ive run MPSS, RE050A, RE040, Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta, Nankang NS2, Pirelli P Zero Rosso, P Zero Nero, Toyo T1-R, Falken FK452, FK453 and probably a couple of others I dont remember and I wouldnt call myself an expert by any means ........ All Im saying is there are a lot of opinions out there, take them on board before you bite the bullet .......... and take note of just how many people on here recommend the same tyre, Im not sure Ive ever seen that anywhere else.

Plate was put on by the guy that did the car, it sits at angle a little proud of the bumper - Ill see what I can find out. All of mine is genuine Chargespeed, although obviously its been modded a little bit to fit
-
Seems that way AD08's are bloody good tyres, no doubt, but they are compromised - they dont handle rain as well as a road type like an MPSS, and they dont stick as much as an R888 or Dunlop DZ. Ive got similar, NS-2R's on my 135 and while they are superb in the dry, they are noticeably worse than an MPSS in anything from damp to soaking conditions, Im going to buy another set of wheels for winter I think. If youre only driving in summer and doing a fair amoutn of trackwork then an AD08 (or an AD08R) is definitely up there, but for 99% of users its a bit too focused.
-
Its actually pretty good on torque, lots available nice and low but the weight offsets it a bit - a 2.9 Cayman does the quarter in about the same time but is 55 lb/ft down, and S2K is about 50% down
-
Id add that Ive found Cerberas to be mobile chicanes on trackdays, power to weight isnt everything And IMO 0-60 isnt a realistic figure for comparison, its a lot more about grip and getting the launch right than anything else. A 1/4 mile is a much better indicator of how fast a car accelerates, and in this case the Cerbera is a 12.4 vs 13.8 for a DE Zed, thats a big gap.
-
KABOOM, thats the nail on the head. Cars that are initially designed as 2 seaters are invariably a better drive than a hatch or saloon thats been made fast.
-
I did, the carbon just looked wrong IMO so we ended up with: My mirrors are black as well, and theres black mesh on various bits, looks soooo much better IMO
-
Its probably the little rubber dooberry on the inside of the door losing contact with the door itself, the interior light will come on too if it is. If so either adjust door hinges or (bodge version) pack out said dooberry.

What rims are those buddy? Fronts are Work Equip 18x10 (effective) ET -42, Rears are 19x11 SSR Leon Hardiritt, (effective) ET -15
-
Now I got you, Id agree with all of that as well TBf though, apart from the BMW/Lexus the cars on the left are generally mass produced and the right hand cars are a bit special, but I see where youre coming from

i worked for VAG and spent alot of time at the Milton Keynes HQ a few years back, maybe thats why i have no love for them seeing everything that went wrong with them i didnt compare a 4g to a r8? your 1 series sounds like a skyline standard? An Evo has a 4G63, you said you this is "yes" as compared to the Lambo V10 thats "meh", thats a comparison in my book. And my 135 has a BMW sports exhaust on it and hi flow cats which I think are BM as well. Not standard on all 1 series but not aftermarket either. @WINKJ - sorry mate, I thought this was a discussion board, where you have discussions? Im just asking Steve to tell me how a 2.0 4 cylinder sounds better than a 5.2 litre V10, or is that against the rules suddenly? Prior to that I was discussing my own experience of driving the cars mentioned in this thread, or should I just delete that as well and instead make a few posts having a bit of a dig at other members but not actually adding anything to a thread, would that be better for you?
-
Better explanation but I have a straight 6 BMW that sounds just like a Skyline, and no 4G sounds better than a V10 R8, are you being serious? Im sorry, but if youre saying all German cars are boring (M cars, AMG's and Porsches included I suppose?) and the Lamborghini V10 engine sounds "meh" then I can only guess you havent seen, driven or listened to them.
-
Have you actually heard a C63 on full chat? If youre telling me this is a boring monotonous sound then you need your hearing checked: The first one is enough but thats 7 minutes if anyone fancies some background music
