From the first link ....... a car caught fire, there was no accident, it happens. From that second link Bullet just posted: "the lack of a crash cage" Last time I checked a cage isnt necessary, particularly in a state where the speed limit is 55mph.

For a Porsche Supercar capable of 200mph and costing silly money, I would..... If she can prove that Porsche was aware of the points that have been raised then she should be sueing WTF? You are actually being serious? As Dan said, its passed all of the regulations it had to and was CLEARLY being used in an inappropriate manner ........... or are you saying that all cars should be able to withstand a 90mph collision into a tree? Thinking about it, last time I was drifting I hit a wall and hurt my elbow, maybe I should sue Nissan for not providing enough padding on the inside of their cars? Or maybe every car sold should be governed to 55mph and brake for itself, that would sort it out. The thing is 1 step away from a racecar, no doubt he loved it because of its performance and rawness (and lack of stability control) ......... but he ran out of talent, thats not anyones fault other Paul Walkers. Id it had burst into flames before it impacted then maybe theres a case ....... but it didnt, his actions lead to his death, not any kind of negligence on the part of Porsche.

Mmmmm. Flame suit donned. Dont get me wrong, its incredible car control (and an incredible car) but he gets a lot of practice runs before the final take, hes also doing it on his own in his own time. If you have 20 seconds then watch this: If you have 30 seconds watch this: If you have a minute watch this: For me, thats the difference between drifting and Gymkhana, one is very controlled and precise, the other is ragged and on the edge.

If the garage you are using dont know how to tell whether its an LSD or not, and originally diagnosed it as a warped hub then Id get the keys back off them, get in the car and GTFO as quickly as possible. As an added bonus, turn the traction control off and do a massive burnout off the forecourt as you leave - if you get a single skidmark its an open diff, if you get two then its LSD

I reckon the horn button is on the ****, hence why it looks a bit dodge.

Juggalo, Im guessing you live somewhere in the south and dont work in production? For every one of those arguments theres a good counterargument - while trains are clean they are either stuffed to bursting or totally empty and cost an arm and a leg to get anywhere. London Underground was part privatised and then renationalised and that works pretty well as far as I can see ........

They probably do, but to what extent? I think most of us are fed up of pissing money up the wall in wars we shouldnt be involved in or nuclear weapons that we are never going to use, most of us realise that social housing is knackered, we want an end to austerity and that well managed national companies will bring a benefit. However, if you take those policies to their extremes (disarming the military, penalising private home owners, doubling our deficit in 12 months, mismanaging nationalised companies) then we would all sigh and tut and say "I told you so". What he hopefully brings for me is some element of balance, and a voice that the Torys will need to listen to and consider, we shall have to see if he is strong enough to do it.

Small world, I'm in also in Halstead! What? I live just past Haverhill, I thought you were in Surrey or something We shall have to meet for a pint/spirited drive/both at some point. Welcome OP, seems theres a few of us not too far away -
Hes different, and this is the problem, we havent had a true Socialist option since Kinnock and arguably Michael Foot. Its going to take some time for people to adjust, and while that happens he is going to be crucified in the press, by the Tories and by the more right leaning members of his own party. Labours "success" over the past 20 years has been down to being slightly left of centre in a Capitalist society, the MP's know that this approach is mroe likely to get them elected and they want to stick with it, when in reality the only hope Labour have is by offering something totally different from the Tories. It will take some time (or a banking scandal, or some kind of internal issue with the Conservatives) but Id hope that if he can stay in for the long run by the time the next election comes around they will be a viable alternative. Although I find myself becoming more socialist as I get older, Im not in favour of a lot of his policies ........ but I do think the Tories need some questions asking, and Corbyn and Co are definitely going to do that. The moment of truth for me came when in the blue lot's last budget they announced they were implementing a living wage, an increase in personal allowance and no change to disability benefit and Millipede and the bollock had nothing to say as they were effectively the same as their own, apparently "opposing" policies. The country needs a check on rampant capitalism, we need to do more for those less fortunate and that sure as hell isnt going to happen if Dave and Eton mess are allowed to do what they want unopposed. Corbyn is not going to let that happen, but I doubt he will be very popular for at least another 18 months either.

I know a guy who drove from Cambridge to Southend on one. With only two wheels touching the ground at any point. Nutter. -
Not too sure if this has been highlighted before, so.............

Dont tell anyone but I won £110 on it - Wales were 3-1 at the start, then just after halftime I got them at 11/2, that's mental odds in a (very close) two horse race -
Legend. Im sticking that straight on my facebook, youre the only person who has been able to explain it.

One of the beauties of Rugby is that the better team dont always win As for the penalties, youre bang on the money, discipline is something England have always struggled with. Compare that with Japan who gave barely anything away and kept the ball live for 8.5 minutes after the final whistle, or the Kiwis who cheat all the time and never get picked up for it and its frustrating to say the least. Sometime it can look like its an over refereed game, but watch Rugby from 25 years ago and youll see the difference, it used to just be fat blokes lying around in mud for 80% of the time

Posted elsewhere but thought I should probably stick it in here too: Loving all the Welsh telling us they "smashed" us .......... it was 3 points guys, and even the bookies were backing England until the death. Fair play to Wales but I thought we lost it more than you won it TBH. As for not taking the kick, I can see his thinking - it would have been a difficult kick, our maul was stronger every time other than the one we needed it to be, and the Japanese got unconstrained praise for doing the same thing, albeit from a much easier kicking position. What I will say is I dontt hink either team would get close to the big three ......... I guess we will find out later this week though Best game Ive seen so far was SA vs Japan, but I reckon Ive probably watched 85% and I havent seen a bad game yet. The gap between the second and first tier is closing, but I havent seen any ball handling to touch the Kiwis/Aussies/SA yet, and I dont think any of the Northern Hemisphere teams are gong to win on the forwards alone. While Im here, can anyone explain how it the groups ended up with 3 potential winners in Group A, 2 potential winners in Group D and only one each in B and C? Wales/England/Australia not making the second round while Scotland win a group and Argentina potentially go through after 2 losses isnt really fair ...........

I hate to say it, but if the Zed was there and got damaged it was probably involved in the street racing element Very, very sad, hopefully these guys dont end up with the book thrown at them but I doubt it -
Some would say unlucky

For those asking, this is how you kill 4 people with a quad bike. -

The fact this is being reported on BBC news this morning suggests something like that to me, it would also explain how 4 people got killed, 2-3 were probably watching. Very sad. -
If a new shell is £800 its a no brainer for me, just reshell and go again. Stick a cage in this one though

I paid £800 for my GTI-6, it may not have keyless or a panoramic sunroof but its actually fun to drive and took some decent scalps when I took it to Rockingham as well, will do 40+ mpg if driven carefully as well. Weve also got a 207HDi, OK it was a bit more than £1500 but is comfy, quick enough and returns anything up to 75mpg, thats not to be sniffed at. For your Megane to be a bargain Id be wanting to pick it up for £500 and see 50+ mpg, while Im sure its a great car theres loads of other stuff you can get for the same money - to use previous example you can get an 07 plate Kia Cee'd for £1500 that has more equipment and at least 15mpg better .......... How about Saab 9000 turbos? Massively spacious, comfier than your bed, arguably quicker than a 350 in a straight line, bulletproof reliability and easily less than a grand, if they were RWd I dontt hink Id have bothered with anything else in the last 12 years.

It sounds like the throttle position sensor on the engine and the actual throttle pedal get confused as to where each other are, I had it a few times in mine - just cuts all power and youre knackered until its happy again. Mine reset itself if you cycled the ignition (I actually did it while still caning round Spa once ) but if youre getting repeated errors it sounds like one or other sensor needs replacing, my bet is the pedal one.
-
Yeah, but thats like saying "If you want a house in Kensington youre going to have to pay at least £2m", it doesnt mean £2m is a bargain in the first place. Broaden the requirement from "V12 mid engined manual supercar" to just "supercar" then theres plenty of Ferraris, 911 turbos and even the GTR that would give it a run for a lot less outlay. I did mention the massive barges (could be jags, bimmers, Mercs, Bentleys, Range Rovers, whatever) - a mate of mine picked up an absolutely mint 02 plate S500 for a grand the other day, but he is also seeing about 12 mpg and thats not bargainous in a £1K car.

What is with these people? How do you get to adulthood without Fast Food? Of the main contenders, as Ive already said KFC is damn good chicken and its actually identifiable pieces of animal so gets my vote. BK burgers are very nice, Wimpy are a bit more sloppy but are still nice, their chips are a bit hit and miss IMO. McD's create the food of Satan IMO, everything tastes the same and is nutritionally terrible, Im convinced they put something in there to make it addictive as well. Subway isnt bad and has actual salad in it, but TBH all of the above are very generic, Id much rather have a shish with a decent marinade and fresh salad on it.
