I believe they generally use two cars so the car that gets hit cant be accused of doing it on purpose, definitely seen this kind of thing before.

+1, in however many years Ive not heard a single complaint about the customer service, they are top lads
-
No, some of us already dont have enough time to run their lives without having kids to look after. Some of us have careers that mean if we did have kids they would be in childcare 80% of the time, and a lot of us dont have the support network that allows us to dump them off with someone at 3 hours notice else while we visit 30 countries or go to 100's of concerts. Me and the Missus would really like a dog but we dont have one as we dont have the time to care for it (we are both out from 0800 to 1900 at least and away at weekends a lot) .......... do I have to complete the sentence? We have also worked damn hard to get to a point where we can afford to do what we want, when we want an Id like to enjoy that for a bit before taking on additional responsibility. Its great to see you have had an amazing experience and continue to do so, but its also pretty clear that you arent the average parent in the average situation, and I dont think its fair to assume everyone else is the same.

RS's are (surprisingly) great in the wet, I wasnt a fan of the Sessantas TBH.
-
We also got drunk every day this weekend and had people round till 3am one night and 5am another. Tasha spent one full day in bed as she couldnt move Ive just booked us going to Paris for the day tomorrow as Ive got a meeting there so thought we would make a day of it and come home Saturday or Sunday. Any suggestions there?

So how do you both go out together then? Serious Q, most of my mates have had kids in the last few years and its incredibly rare to see both halves out at the same time or TBF even to see the lads out on their own during the week. Not really contributed to this as dont have kids but probably will in the near future, whatever anyone tells me getting out of bed at 1pm on a weekend, going out for a drink with the missus until 10pm on a weeknight and taking holidays at 24 hours notice isnt going to happen anymore.

Everything else they are selling appears heavily overpriced so why not this one too?

FWD generally inspires more confidence than RWD anyway, particularly if youre used to it but if the VDC is coming on before the car is anywhere near the limit of grip you might have another problem - maybe a dodgy ABS sensor or an alignment issue. Worth checking that your brake fluid is topped up as this can do funny things to VDC as well. In the dry you shouldnt really be seeing VDC at all unless youre driving like a right tool, there might be something else up here.
-
Weird, I didnt find mine noisy at all. How did you bed them in, the new pads on my bimmer are a bit noisy after catching fire during bedding in ..........
-
Weird how I didnt ever have that problem VDC can do two things, it either cuts power to the rear wheels if it senses that they are slipping, or it will fiore the front brakes if it feels there is a speed difference between front and back (understeer). I personally found the whole system to be oversensitive so binned it off but its worthwhile keeping it in play until youre confident that you know what youre up to.

Aye, another LR convert here, the Defender is awesome but very marmite, the Disco is a great car but for me you cant touch a full fat Rangey, they make everything else a pale imitation The petrols are juicy and they dont have a great rep for reliability but they are awesome, air suspension never gets old

Seriously, drive the RS, Golf R and M135i as well before making any decision - at the least youll be able to tell people how good/bad they are and Ive no doubt you'll enjoy them all
-
All been mentioned really, I have a 135 and its bloody good, I also love the Meganes as a drivers car Any DSG Golf is good (the GTI is surprisingly quick) but an E46 M3 ticks all of your boxes and then some ...... the E92 335i is a good, albeit a little soft alternative too.
-
Used CL RC05+ with standard Brembo discs and was pretty astonished by them, understand the PF's are in the same zone. Pads will make a lot more difference than discs, Id stick with the discs youve got and make the decision when you need to

I was in Brussels the day after the Paris attacks and Ive got guys working at the Airport at the moment too, one of them had only been out of the departures 10 minutes when the bomb went off ........... but life goes on. At the end of the day, harsh as it sounds its 2 attacks in a city of 2m people, my thoughts are with those that were killed or injured but shouting and crying about it or changing plans because of it is exactly what these guys want. Its disturbing the number of people Ive already seen saying that allowing Muslim immigration is the root cause of the problem when it blatantly isnt but Im confident that it will just bring Europeans closer rather than sending a wedge down the middle, we are a lot more accepting than the guys that are doing this think we are,

Apart from if you need to stop halfway through because youve lost your job, with a loan you flog it and pay off the loan, with the PCP you bankrupt yourself Not strictly relevant but for me its the depreciation on a brand spanker that I wouldnt be able to get away from, thats a lot of money straight down the toilet. Much better to buy something a couple of years old thats taken the initial hit like an M135i or a Golf R
-
Ive got a Mk3 and its amazing what the low weight means it can do - corner speed and braking as as good as Porsche GT3's, its just the straights where they lose out a bit Once you get to the point of 4 wheel drifting you realise just how good MR can be, I cant part with our one now
-
Just had a look at <4s cars and its an interesting list, some of the more affordable cars include Lotus Exige, C63 and SL65 Mercedes, Evo 8/9, 996/997 Turbot, RS6, RS7, 2012 Impreza WRX, CLS63 ........ a Nismo GTR is under 3 seconds too :o

IMO if you think the second question is difficult you shouldnt be allowed to answer the first.
-
I seem to remember being on track with you once, sadly I couldnt give any feedback about overtaking as you didnt go past anyone How was my overtaking though? :p As for driving, I think you would look much better going sideways a bit more often
-
Its not Cadwell or Donny but I wouldnt call it dull. Lots of fast sweeping corners, wide (very wide in some parts) and a good surface, with lots of run off its a good track to see what a 350Z can really do. I as actually suggesting it to a mate as a great place for a first trackday yesterday, I wouldnt mind going back up there sometime

It's true though. OK, great - what about his plan not to allow any Muslims (one would assume this includes doctors and US military) into the US? Or suggesting that all Mexicans are drug using thieves? Running up a personal debt of $900m and continuing to effectively steal money from investors? The guy and his beliefs are abhorrent in a modern world and Im struggling to believe someone as switched on as you cant see it. If he was a TV personality or a sportstar then great, but to suggest this is the right man to lead the Western world is messed up. As for being sexist, its p[retty clear to me that women are just objects as far as he is concerned, if that isnt sexist I dont know what is.

Most of the last two pages have been about Trump, and regardless, it scares the @*!# out of me when I see anyone making positive comments about him so I feel the need to redress the balance. Sure, he gets a bad press but theres a reason for that

We used to have 2 GTI-6's at the same time, one badged up and one debadged. The debadged one didnt even get looked at while the badged one constantly had a Saxo 2 ft away from its bumper, says it all really. Didnt get much racey attention in my Zed but Ive found nothing other than supercars wants to play with my 1 Series nowadays. Which is nice.

Trump is openly racist, misogynistic and sexist, and clearly has no time for anyone earning less than $60K a year, which is most of the country he is looking to "lead". Hes not a successful businessman, having repeatedly presided over companies that have crashed and burned and I read the other day that he would actually have been richer if he had just stuck his inheritance into a bank. His first reaction to any criticism is to sue and its well known hes a fcuking horrible man. Heres some quotes for you, if you really think this man is fit to lead the USA then I suggest you go live there ......... if you get the chance read this: http://www.cracked.c...lieve-are-true/ as a good indicator too. "[i am] calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on" -- Donald Trump. That's religious discrimination. "An 'extremely credible source' has called my office and told me that Barack Obama's birth certificate is a fraud" -- Donald Trump. That's an outright lie. "Arianna Huffington is unattractive, both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man - he made a good decision." -- Donald Trump. This is sexism, and just plain rude. "You know, it really doesn't matter what the media write as long as you've got a young, and beautiful, piece of @!$%#." - Donald Trump. This is misogyny at its finest. "I will build a great wall -- and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me -- and I'll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words." - Donald Trump. The words of an arrogant hate monger. "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending the best. They're not sending you, they're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists... And some, I assume, are good people." -- Donald Trump. Racist. "Our great African-American President hasn't exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore." -- Donald Trump. Racist. "If I were running 'The View', I'd fire Rosie O'Donnell. I mean, I'd look at her right in that fat, ugly face of hers, I'd say 'Rosie, you're fired." -- Donald Trump. The words of an @!$%#. "The beauty of me is that I'm very rich." - Donald Trump. So Vain. "It's freezing and snowing in New York - we need global warming!" - Donald Trump. Ignorant. "My fingers are long and beautiful, as, it has been well documented, are various other parts of my body." - Donald Trump. Gross. "I think the only difference between me and the other candidates is that I'm more honest and my women are beautiful." - Donald Trump. Sexist. As if women are possessions rather than people. And also a lie. A lie about how honest he is.
