  1. From what I remember 250@wheels will be plenty for an S12, you been on a drift day yet?
  2. From the skim Ive had it outlaws environmental modification and mods to autonomous driving systems. These are both pretty undeniably good ideas, makes sense to stop people making Teslas with 10000hp that only run for 5 minutes as well. https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/future-of-transport-regulatory-review-modernising-vehicle-standards/future-of-transport-regulatory-review-modernising-vehicle-standards#questionshttps://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/future-of-transport-regulatory-review-modernising-vehicle-standards/future-of-transport-regulatory-review-modernising-vehicle-standards#questionshttps://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/future-of-transport-regulatory-review-modernising-vehicle-standards/future-of-transport-regulatory-review-modernising-vehicle-standards#questions
  3. To either of the last two posters, have you tried anything else to compare against? Having used CL, Carbotech etc I couldnt go near Stoptech or EBC stuff, the performance of the top end stuff is incredible.
  4. Yep, me. Appreciate the engineering but just dont get on with the way they drive, when youre looking at F355/650S money you might want to check youre OK with that
  5. Indeed, who gives a toss about a plastic Italian newcomer? If it is real its one of 6 and worth about $7m. Thats looks like a pretty special day, what was it all about?

    370z or 135i

Ive got an 08 N54, regardless of anything else with a bigger IC and hiflow cats it did 430hp/550lb/ft after a remap, in the real world thats on par with a 997 Turbo or F10 M5, its pretty terrifying TBH Babybmw.net is the best site for them, although theres a lot of owners of newer cars asking about windscreen wipers or preferred driving mode theres a few guys with some pretty nice E82's. I had 200SX's before a Z33 and always described the Z as a step forward in terms of driving dynamics as it just did everything better, the E82 is a step forward from a Z IMO

    370z or 135i

Actual 135i or M135i, how old? Ive got an E82 135i and I cant see where the 370 is better other than the way it looks, F20's are pretty damn good too. A few minor mods on the Bimmer (LCA's, ARB's, cheeky map) and it becomes a LOT better, the older ones are starting to go up in value too
  8. Sorry, I thought you said there was a newly released sportscar that doesnt cost £976,000? Will be taking a closer look at this for sure, nice to see theres still a V6 option as well, good work Lotus
  9. I dont have a power socket near the cars so use one of these: https://www.optimate.co.uk/products/optimate-solar, genuinely impressed at how quickly it can charge a low/dead battery, £109 Need another one for another car but they are sold out though, dammit.
  10. Rather OT but did I see your vert on track with Andy Forrests new ........ "thing" at Knockhill last week? If so, how much faster than an actual F1 car is it?
  11. I considered it but didnt bother turboing mine as to make the most if the gains you would need to be forged, SC doesnt do as much power to start with so I didnt really consider that was worth it for the outlay either. If youre going to do it then Id use whatever Horsham are happy with, if you can stretch to getting the engine forged at the same time its probably worth it IMO
  12. The road etiquette was one of the best things for me, so liberating to be able to drive quick. Round here people deliberately move into the middle of the road if they see you hussing up behind but up there people were pulling over wherever they could, I got RSI from thanking them Following pushbikes up Applecross pass was somewhat painful though, particularly for the 450hp Escos with the 2 position clutch
  13. Try again ............ FFS, no idea whats going on but its a very nice picture of an F355 on a hill and google maps Inverness to Cambridge
  14. Did it last year, doing it again this year. Well worth the drive - that was all in one day, the section from Perth to Cambridge was 422 miles in just under 5 1/2 hours with 2 fuel stops.
  15. More grown up than an MX5 but nearly as much fun. Has anyone ever been disappointed with buying a Z33, I know I wasnt?
  16. I bought a BTC when they were about £10K and a couple of Ethereum when they were around £700 just as a punt, obviously done quite nicely but the problem is recovering what Ive made as Im fairly sure Ill regret taking it out as it will continue to increase. I think its like stocks, you need to be in it long term to see the best returns (although Ive just doubled my XRP and XLM in the last month or so), Ive already said I wont touch the BTC until it goes to £100K - on balance Id rather lose what I didnt have than sell and watch it inevitably go to the moon BTC has a value as you can actually pay for stuff with it and ETH is the same but faster and cheaper but Doge and the like look very suss to me, Im also not comfortable that an individual like Musk can manipulate the market so easily, he cant do that so much with ETH and BTC. Tax is a lot easier to avoid with crypto as well
  17. No known issues but coilovers will fail over time - when Apex in the UK would replace an individual damper having to send a set off to Japan to be looked at was a bit of a pain to say the least Of what youve listed Id go with HKS but thats experience from a good few years ago, theres nothing wrong with Cusco, Bilstein or S-Tunes, I do seem to remember S-Tunes being £££ in the UK though
  18. HKS used to have to be sent back to Japan to be fixed, dont know if thats still the case? Teins werent ever really that good and Ive heard havent improved, cant speak for the other but I had HSDs on mine and they were really impressive for the money. Ive got Meister GT1 on my BMW and really rate them, CRDs are available for about £800 for the 350Z - might be worth a look? The difficulty with coilovers is very few people have used more than one type on a given chassis so comparison isnt easy
  19. No way to tell from those pictures, the diff is inside the casing but by the sound of it its a 1.5 or 2 way plate diff, probably Kaaz if you can feel it clunking. If you dont drift or track the car then you might as well swap it out for something a bit more user friendly, you should recover a few hundred quid out of it too if it is a plate type ETA that diff oil cooler is pretty pointless unless youre drifting too, probably some more money there if you sell on
  20. Can confirm its not just oil, hes a tight arse in general Good to see youre still about Tone, Richie was asking me about Project Pheonix the other day as it happens, how you getting on?
  21. TBH I think the big problem is emissions, my 9K revving 2.0 wouldnt get past the regs these days or would have to be so strangled it wouldnt be worth it, they havent fitted it to anything since 2011 FI gets round these very neatly and gives a load more oomph as well, crazy NA cars are probably gone for good. I have remembered it is actually a 1.8 though so the previous point about not moving on stands up even more
  22. Oh really? I saw this new model was coming out, checked to see if it had at least 300hp and then got on with my life. Releasing a £30K "sports" car in 2021 with 228hp and 184 lb/ft is a travesty, at least the MX5 can get its roof down. Peak torque is at 3700rpm so its not really a screamer and when the biggest issued levelled at the outgoing model was lack of power youd hope they could have done *something* .......... They arent fast enough to be track cars, are too pricey for a weekend toy, not practical as a family wagon and too bland to be considered exotic, unless youre dead set on a brand new car you could get a 2-3 year old M2 or Cayman for the same money. Take 10K off the cost or add another 100hp and thats a worthy look but these just sit in the middle of everything for me. For the record I also have a Toyota sportscar with a 2.0 N/A engine putting out about 210hp. Except its 20 years old, revs past 9K, has power to weight over 0.2 HP/KG and cost me a damn sight less than £30K, where the progress here?
  23. Mate of mine went on, as you can imagine it was quite @*!#, particularly if you were the one in the helmet Spellcasting ............ D-I-S-M-I-S-S
  24. I have a good friend now in his 30s called James Deacon, very memorable when we had to explain who Joey was to him, he started using his pic as an avatar on message boards Vortex was awesome but you cant top Knightmare for me, they are all on Youtube too. Also hadnt realised that Doogyrev was verygood until I was today years old, this thread keeps giving.
