Knackered shock, broken spring, very low tyre, crazy alignment setting but definitely something wrong, I regularly did 140+ in mine and it was solid as a rock. Dont think its the polybushes either, they wont be doing much in a straight line.

Hello all As you may know, I was the Chairman of the 200SX Owners Club until quite recently and as part of this have a hand in organising our annual "weekender" event. This is now number 8, where we hire a circuit for the weekend, drive round it a bit and then get quite drunk and have a party This year we are returning to Rockingham - we had a very successful event there a couple of years ago and have added to the fun by securing the BDC drift circuit layout that can be used at the same time as the International Super Sportscar Circuit, its also possible we will reverse layouts in afternoon to keep things mixed up a bit Full details can be found here: http://sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?590884-The-2017-SXOC-Weekender-4-6-August-Track-and-Drift!!! but the main reasons to come are: All people welcome - we had a few 350Z members come to our Anglesey Weekender and I think they all escaped with their lives ...... All cars welcome - very few of the SXOC actually own SX's now so expect everything from a Smart Car to a Murcielago, a turbocharged Triumph Dolomite to a 1bhp per kilo Westfield out there, I can confirm that we are expecting some very high level and well known drift racers as well. Food, drink, party all included - Rockinghams own caterers are laying on the food and the legendary SXOC support Van will be in full effect complete with disco, bar and dancing girls* Immaculate on track behaviour - so many people I know (including my wife) had their first track experience at an SXOC day, Ive yet to see anyone acting the prat or any dangerous antics go on, theres a lot of respect out there. Less than immaculate off track behaviour - Dad dancing, falling over repeatedly, semi (sometimes full) nudity, casual racism towards other members of the Union, burning things etc. are all to be expected The best bit though? ITS CHEAP. OPL trackday, food (Friday night, Sat all day and Sunday), entertainment and camping will be £202. For reference there is a OPL trackday @ Rocky (no camping, no food, no dancing girls) for £215 on 03/08 (a Thursday!!), this goes up to £225 in September. We also have tickets on offer for spectators and additional drivers, see thread for more details and dont hesitate to ask me if youd like any further information. See you there hopefully * We are unable guarantee the quality or professionalism of said dancing girls

Errr ......... if youre doing the Sarthe then its got to be the real thing, without the chicanes on the Mulsanne, for sure.

Being a guarantor / Bad credit / Divorce - small update
docwra replied to marzman's topic in Off Topic Discussion
And if they dont manage to rent the house? You might as well buy something yourself and put her in it ....... As for the rest, agree with the masses, youre taking a hell of a risk on someone thats proven themselves to be financially unreliable, its also a bit rough to jet on him without telling him where/that she is going. -
I dont get why people are being shot down for giving opinions on a thread asking for opinions TBH ........ Ive been in the modding scene for an awfully long time now, and have done a couple of major projects myself and unless you are 150% committed to making your car look like a proper RB then youre on a hiding to nothing IMO, its a lot of time and effort for something you will pretty quickly become familiar with. I reckon well over 50% of big bodywork, engine swaps etc. projects get sold immediately as they are finished, thats got to tell you something In my experience youll need heavy modification on the v2 to make it work so youre probably better off looking at a RB bumper as well, what do you have in mind for wheels too? At the end of the day its your money, so your choice but the days of modifying that heavily are definitely behind me, its a lot of money you arent going to see again .......

Bit tinny and drive like an Audi, youre better off in the Zed
-
4th to 6th August, Rockingham, will have a drift track if you fancy a bit of that too KOQ, are you looking at coming? Would be good to see you again mate
-
Miles arent a big issue IMO so HR ......... although Id imagine a supercharged DE would be pretty close to that money now
-
Randy has it spot on, its too much for an 04 but if you like the mods and the history then its up to you. Id personally expect the brace and wheel furb to be done and wouldnt pay more than £6K for an 04 on 91K miles, but then Im a tight get
-
Thats exactly the reason that SXOC started up, NPOC for some reason wouldnt allow a few 200SX owners onto their stand at JAE so they went and started their own club. That ended up being about 5 times bigger
-
Anything with a lifetime guarantee IMO, its a no lose gamble.
-
Echoing what others have said, Anglesey is the best and Donington the best of places you can actually get to. Never done Cadwell but its very high on my list, in UK nothing touches Spa and the Ring though
-
Pretty sure it's different depending on year. I know Lauren who competed in FW, and they had major issues when filming that as the only way to kill the TCS was to briefly flick the ignition on and off whilst doing proper speeds on track. Surely if you just unplug the ABS module then it cant work even if it wants to?
-
I think its probably due to restriction higher up in the rev range, if I changed the downpipes Id be looking at well over 500hp but peak torque is down at 2800 rpm
-
A remapped 135i, its about the same as a 997 Turbo once youre off the line
-
I got 430hp and 770nm for less than that. Oh, and a whole car attached to it as well Also went for a ride in an SC 370 the other day and knowing what that cost to make theres no way you can argue VFM on an FI conversion IMO.

Was following my brother a couple of months back so hadnt clocked the marked car behind us and got tugged, apparently Id been doing up to 100mph (Id not gone over 90) but was one copper, non calibrated speedo and I was very polite so got sent on my way

If you earn an MP's wage (which I also agree isnt high enough) you pay £4K more in tax than an entire minimum wage salary. You also contribute £5K on NI and your employer just under £10K.

Doubtful TBH, youd need a full briefing at the least - unless you know an organiser running an event on that day then youre probably not going to be able to do it Its only really the German tracks that offer a turn up and drive thing, they opened the GP circuit when I was at Nur the other day and IIRC Hockenheim has a regular TF session as well. I didnt get any good drifty footage last time out but theres a bit from 8.57 to about 9.20 here, I think Williams (the second corner) was in 4th Did a drift track in the dry in it once, that takes "commitment" to say the least!
-
Nur is only a couple of hours down the road from Spa too ........ rude to do one and not the other
-
Come and play with the big boys then, last day at Spa there were 5 McLarens, 2 Aston racecars, 2 x 458's and a 488, countless GT3RS's, GT3's, Turbots, Nobles, Radicals ......... I was the poor relative in a 400hp BMW Its difficult to have more fun than 5+ of you in low powered cars acting like dicks

Not really very helpful for those that dont have the wherewithall to actually check it though, is it? Im at a bit of a loss where to stick my vote TBH. Its pretty clear to me that Toryism doesnt work and that we really need a more socialist approach, but as per Ekonas comments a lot of the sabre rattling from Corbyn is pretty worrying as a high earner and a business owner - Im not a rich man, I work bloody hard for what Ive got and Im not really down with someone arbitrarily deciding that Ive got too much and penalising me and my employees for it. My biggest concern though is that Corbyn isnt a leader. He doesnt have the support of his party or his MP's, he didnt seem to know if he was in favour of Brexit or not and this lumping of all "business" together is abhorrent IMO, the difference between my company and BHS is enormous - he should know this and yet he still keeps smashing the same old drum. And even with the strongest hallucinogens you can take, I still dont think anyone could see Corbyn negotiating with the rest of the EU regarding Brexit, hes got nothing about him at all. What would be nice is for the LibDems to see a resurgence in popularity so they actually become a viable prospect ....... but I doubt thats going to happen either, we are either stuck with the nasty ones or the ineffective ones.

Try an E46 M3 in 138hp of MR2 Time is my biggest enemy, Id love to do more (Bedford and Snetterton are both within an hour, Rockingham, Silverstone, Blyton, Brands, Donny within 2) but its a struggle, I travel a lot with work and when Im here I usually need to be in office. I need to take the BMW somewhere fast in the near future but at the moment its looking like at least a couple of months, if not more We have a trackday group on FB that works well though, theres about 80 members so if anyone books anything a few more will jump on, we usually get a discount if theres 5 or more of us going somewhere and have had a few days where theres 20 or so of us, thats awesome banter Will be at Spa and Nur in October though, get involved

Ill tell you one thing, they are awesome on track The balance, the steering and brakes are as good as anything this side of an Elise (arguably better), they drift beautifully and give great feedback to the driver. Reeling in a well driven but much faster car due to your braking and corner speed advantages is one of the most rewarding experiences youll have on track. Ill tend to use mine over my BMW these days as its just as much fun but immeasurably cheaper (especially when inevitable wall interface occurs) Sure, they are a bit slow on the straight bits but the corners make up for it, 4 perfectly neutral 4 wheel drifts at 100mph in a standard car isnt something you get every day. Id add that FWD can be fun on a new track but youll have it mastered by lunchtime, if youre not keen on the MR2 then RX8 or earler MX5 would be exactly where Id be looking too
