200 is difficult unless youve got unlimited space - we had an S13 200SX on the SXOC board with 615 hp, and that only (I said "only") managed 189 in 2 odd miles at Bruntingthorpe. Id wager the S13 is probably a fair amount slippier than the Holden as well. Some of the Skylines boys have managed it, but all have been 600+ hp at the wheels. Either way Id have that Holden in a shot

I can see that the word "literally" features highly here ........... The car had a name, like the Yellowbird or maybe that one out of Gone in Sixty Seconds, and the kid had the same name. He and his Dad were both wearing T shirts with pic of it on there, so it obviously runs pretty deep with them It was quite a hom name actually ........ bet the kid grows up with wrists too weak to change gear

Small world innit - thats actually the guy I bought it from's house - I live about 1/2 a mile up the road from him. I took it as a sign that there was a 350 with the exact spec, in the right colour, when I needed it that close to me If you have ever spent any time there you have probably heard the S13 going past ......... Think we have crossed wires.... The picture of the white car is in front of ma mates garage door, when he stayed there. I remember you had a few cars in bits right enough... Blimey - that is a small world ......... Quite possibly - usually have at least one broken car "decorating" the place up

Hohoho - reminds me of my last trip to Le Mans, earlier this year. Id gone over with my brother and a few Nissan owning petrolhead mates. Now I love Ferraris, and my mate Yakko is the same, so when we were wandering around in Arnage on the Friday (where everyone goes to show their supercars off) and saw an F40 at the top of the road we had to go and have a look - very nice it was too. At the bottom of the road theres another F40 parked up, but we noticed immediately that this car is a bit different - the intercoolers, lights, exhaust and even the bodywork and colour are different. I confirm this with Yakko, then I notice a bloke wander over to it with the keys in his hand. Conversation goes like this: Doc: "Alright mate, your car is it??" Bloke: "Yeah it is, what do you reckon??" D: "Well, its nice, but we noticed the lights, intercoolers and stuff are different from an F40. What is it - an MR2 conversion or something??" B: "Errm, well its actually an F40LM special edition" Yep, I had just accused the bloke with probably the best example of an F40 ANYWHERE* of having an MR2. Fortunately he was a top feller - stood and spoke to us for about 3/4 hour about this and his other cars (he actually named his son after one of his Porsches) and then let said 8 year old jump in and fire the fezza up for us and the assembled crowd. Which was cool. * The car was an F40 LM, of which only 17 were made - see http://www.supercars.net/cars/3318.html for details. This particular one had just come back from a full mechanical overhaul at the factory, and must have been around the £500K mark. Definitely not an MR2 then [/url]

Hi all, Just bought an import 350 with some fancy bits on it and thought I should stick an intro post in here as well as askign myriad Q's on the main boards Im docwra and as well as my 350 at the mo Ive got a 300bhp S13 drift car, a 740 BMW, an S12 drift car and a Saab - the Saab and the Bimmer are going though coz they is broken. Im a moderator on the SXOC board so quite used to this forum business Loving the 350 so far, and looking forward to using it properly over the coming months - found that its very easy to "lose control" on roundabouts .......... could prove to be fun Excellent board BTW, and for those interested theres some pics of me other cars below My S12 budget drifter - welded diff, cut springs, 200bhp. Fun and cheaper than a holiday in your shed My 740 - pimp. Never quite managed to get 5 bitches in the back but Im still trying. My S13 - Nismo diff, HKS coilovers, GT28R turbo, massive intercooler, polybushes, bigger injectors, ported head blah blah blah. Goes very sideways very quickly Just for fun the S13, S12 and another S12 I had at the time - Nissan coupes FTW

My 04 Import apparently has some kind of uprated suspension from the factory but Ive no idea what - certainly feels firmer than the UKDM model I drove a while back Its also got Brembos and Rays, Nismo dials and a Momo wheel - could this be some kind of mysterious sport pack that no-one knows about??
-
Your correct, there was no suspension upgrade, momo steering wheel or nismo dials option available from the factory no Sarnie your wrong I have a JDM brochure that shows momo steering wheels and Nismo clock as an extra cost option, plus there are loads of other bits available that you dont see on the UK options list Ooooh Anything on the suspension side of things, or LSD's?? Id be interested to know whats on it tbh so it takes longer for me to start throwing money at the bloody thing "upgrading"

Nice one - thank you gents (assuming you are all gents!) PM's sent re: decats and I will be leaving the 155 limiter on for the moment as well The more I drive it, the more I like it - its so responsive and balanced compared the S-chassis Nissans I have had, and 6th gear is damn fine for the motorways as well. Im a happy man, me Ill bother you with more as I think of it, but in the meantime cheers EDIT: Just thought of one actually - where is the redline and peak power - Ive got my shift light set to 6800 atm, but having rwead on here it might be a bit high

Well, Im now the proud owner of a 03/04 import 350z in blue with Rays, Brembos, Nismo dials, allegedly some kind of uprated suspension and a Momo steering wheel - thanks to those that assisted on my cutting out thread from last week I took it out for a bit of fun at the weekend and its awesome - the only car Ive driven that would have kept with it on the country roads I was driving was an old Delta Integrale I used to have, and even then the brakes on the 350 would have probably kept it at bay My other cars include a 200SX S13 drift car, and after my foot slipped on a roundabout I was amazed at how easy and controllable these things are when sideways - my local tyre dealer and I are set to become good friend I think Anyway, cheers for the help and I look forward to contributing what I can to the site - the SXOC boys are already jealous so its all good Quick things to find out though: Is there a non-japanese language owners manual on here? Is the glovebox looking thing actually a glovebox or just an elaborate cup holding device? Are the UK Sat Nav cubby hole covers as rubbash as the jap ones?? Mine is reminiscent of the kind of thing you get inside a Kinder egg Do they really do 180 when derestricted?? Does an Induction Kit make any notable difference? Where can I get a decat pipe and will it need a remap for one??

Ive just bought an 03/04 import and it apparently has some kind of sport pack or similar - its got a Momo steering wheel, Nismo dials, the Brembos and apparently some kind of uprated and stiffer suspension - it certainly feels a bit different from the UK models Ive driven. Was there a factory option to upgrade the suspension?? I wasnt aware of the Momo wheel option or the Nismo dials from the factory, and if Im honest the LSD feels kinda different as well - its very quick to lock and extremely predictable (wonder how I found that one out While Im here as well, I need a frequency hoojamaflip for the stereo - know where I can get one and whats involved with poutting it on the haed unit?? Cheers

Thats bloody marvellous is that - cheers Reckon I might have to buy it then Will see you all again soon I reckon

That sounds spot on mate. It wasnt the 112mph limiter - its been delimited and I saw rather more than that last night anyway;) Any speed limiter Ive experienced just momentarily cuts the engine, where this the engine didnt cut, it just became unresponsive. The exact words I used to the guy who owned the car was "get you home mode" - Ive experienced it on 200SX's before, usually when an air flow meter gives up or unplugs itself, but Im sure TPS faults have the same effect on CA/SR engines as well. One of the 350 owners on SXOC has had the same problem and said pretty much the same thing By the sound of things its a pretty rare one - the guy Im buying from swore blind it had never happened before and it doesnt look like many on here have either - I might just bite the bullet and buy the frickin thing and hope it doesnt get any worse. Are new TPS/Throttle bodies difficult/expensive to come by?? Likewise, is there a diagnostic on the ECU that I /Nissan UK can run to see if the TPS is buggereed?

Hi Folks First, the intro - Im docwra, and Im over from the SXOC forum where Im a moderator - Ive currently got an S13 and an S12, but have had three S-chassis before as well (S14, S12, S13) so I kinda like Nissans I guess Ive decided that the time is right to look at a 350 and have found a bloody lovely one near me - its an 04 import with the GT Pack and is pretty much bob on for what Im after ............. EXCEPT! I took it for a test drive this morning, about 20 mins, and all was good apart from a slight rattle when on full throttle. I went back tonight to drive it again and satisfied myself that the rattle was nothing to worry about While driving back to the chap who is selling the cars house it suddenly cut out - I wasnt sparing the horses, in 4th at about 6Kish and suddenly it stopped accelerating, and started slowing up. I can only liken it to when a boost pipe pops off on a turbo car - it wouldnt rev any higher and was straining to hold revs. I stopped up, turned it off, then back on after 5 seconds and it was fine - went for another 20 mins with no problems at all. The guy selling (who seems like a top feller) claims its never happened before, but I thought it was worth coming on here to see if anyone had anything similar previously? The rest of the car is spot on and a good price, but obviously I dont want to be shelling out to find I need a new ECU or something 2 weeks down the road - as things stand Ive got a deposit on the car but depending on what you good people say Ill have to decide what to do Ive done a search and the only thing I can see similar is related to HKS induction kits, but this car is totally standard. Any ideas?? Mods - sory if this is wrong section but I thought it was a good place to start - if someone can tell me its a one off, or nothing to worry about Ill be here a lot more after Thursday :D
