I just posted this actually: 19x9.5 ET0 front, 19x10.5 ET -25 rear 19x9.5 ET0 front, 19x10 ET -25 rear and if you dont like tyre stretch: 19x9.5 +2 with 255 front tyre, 19x10.5 +12 with 275 rear tyre Id be looking at getting to the equivalent of a 9.5 ET5 and 10.5 ET-5 at the very minimum myself.
-
trust me guys.. the car is going to be cool. Then you need some different wheel fitments mate. You can go a lot more aggressive on fitments for sure - check these out: 19x9.5 ET0 front, 19x10.5 ET -25 rear 19x9.5 ET0 front, 19x10 ET -25 rear and if you dont like tyre stretch: 19x9.5 +2 with 255 front tyre, 19x10.5 +12 with 275 rear tyre

Fair play Fee, but Id point out the Acceleras cost a third what the RE040's do new. Again, I dont think the mismatch is the major issue in this case. Get RE's all round though and the difference will be huge.
-
Thats looks very much like a Photoshop to me. If it isnt then someone is keeping very quiet about those wheels as Ive no idea what they are Thats lovely though - any more info??

Sorry lost you here? Tiff proved who couldn't do what? He proved he couldnt drift at competition level. I think as a racing driver he found it very difficult to unlearn what he alrewady knew Definitely. Clarkson, May and Hammond are some of the best TV presenters out there, so let them present enterntainment and let the racers race.
-
Weirdly I bought mine from a guy in Haverhill as well. Looks like weve found a hotspot
-
Hmmm, should probably add that Tiff was invited to a UK Drift event a couple of years ago, given a top notch car and then proved he couldnt do it - apparently he has practised hard since then, he certainly looks like it on screen. Plato can just drive like the Don IMO. I think its a bit like Big Brother or something - unless we get to see a straight race in identical cars between all three of them the editing is always going to show what they want it to. Oh, and Clarkson cant drive for toffee but at least he admits it
-
The drifting in the 370Z was poor IMO, particularly for someone who had taken some kind of training (you can tell by the way he lets go of the wheel), and I was annoyed they used the auto and softtop when the Audi was neither ........ As someone who is in the market to buy a car in that price range I thought the whole review was a bit pointless TBH - why do I need to know how quick the car can J turn and drive around in 1st gear? I also didnt understand why they didnt use a Cayman against the Audi when thats clearly the match in the model range, even down to the price Black Stig was Perry McCarthy BTW
-
Weird. I have an Azure one, live in Linton but the bleedin MoT has run out so Ive not driven it since Friday
-
Ive run 9J ET15 on the front and they fitted just fine, could have done with further spacing TBH. 18x10 ET12 will fit with room to spare on the rear, 18x12 ET20 is going to need stretch and camber. See http://www.rimtuck.com/ for real life pics and specs

slide motorsport sr powered(probably)350z drifter
docwra replied to slidemotorsport's topic in Member Build Projects
RB's arent the most reliable engines at power, but you can sort that out with some oil feed and crank lengthening work. JZ's are good, but a few have broken this year - the gearboxes cost an arm and a leg too. SR20 will run 400hp all day long without any problems, relatively cheap to buy and replace and if you cant afford a V8 would be the best choice for me BTW, so I know you slidem0otorsport? If you are a drifter and are on SXOC I should do ........ -
Im tempted, I have to say but I dont want the car too hard and crashy - it barely ever sees a track although the rear slips out under power sometimes Bon reckons the HSD/CS's are fairly gentle for a coilover, Im in two minds at the moment. Ill tell you who Id be speaking to if I were you - http://www.rjnmotorsport.com/index.php? ... &Itemid=65 these fellers run a Z33 in GT$ (pretty successfully as well) and as you can see appear to have developed their own suspension. I had a good chat with them at Goodwood a couple of years ago and they were genuinely nice guys - maybe see if they have got any more info that might be useful for you. BTW, my fee for this information is a cheeky blat when youve got the car finished - Kens car drifted pretty well with 650hp, be interesting to try another .........
-
So has the Z33 got the same layout as your nice family car there Polo?? Are the bulkheads the same?? Ive just done a quick search and these guys seem to think you can use a one piece: http://xyzsuspension.com/driftspec.html but Ive never heard of either ............. Considering putting mine on CS2's atm, if you come up with something different I might be interested.

The Mini doesnt look too bad to me: This, however: makes baby Jesus cry.

I thought Biffins Bridge was the female equivalent of the male Gooch? He must have some balls to go back! No pun intended I have had recent discussions on this and think you are right - while a grundle can arguably be male or female, a biffin bridge (gets its name from what your balls keep biffin into apparently) has to be on a female.
-
He said it actually caught him just to left of his "gooch" (I prefer the British terms grundle or Biffins Bridge myself) so he was actually quite lucky. Went back 6 weeks later and nailed the jump too.
-
They are OK, but the offsets are 20mm less than what you are looking at, meaning you would need to run 20mm spacers to have the same fitment ........
-
You could always do what I did - drive the car through a hedge, then forget to refit the washer bottle when you fix it. Extreme perhaps, but it solves the problem
-
Poor fitments, youll need spacers front and back. If Im honest I dont like the wheels either - at that price they are going to be heavy as well. For reference: Thats 9 ET 15ish on the front and 10 ET15 on the back. The rears alone poke out 20mm more than what you are looking at.
-
Anyone got any pics of a dehandled one?? Often think I should have had mine removed when I had the car done ......
-
Ive added some myself, but I want to see the cars belonging to the members on here, not some randomd yank who can run 2mm clearance because their roads are awesome I think this thread got a lot better in the last two pages and Taddy, your car is amayazin And I will have to come along to a meet soon, its just finding the time
-
If thats the case then I apologise I have to say his answer didnt really help me though, did it? I just want to see what you guys think are the best looking Zeds in the country, not have to attend a years worth of meets to see them. If I was a total n00b the situation would be the same as well, even if I was just a casual visitor to the board it would be nice to see what 350Z-UK has to offer. It was a genuine request that Ive made twice now, I really want to see these cars but dont have hours to go trawling through the media section to do it. I went to JAE, the Duxford show and various drifting rounds this year but didnt see any Z Clubs, which I have to say I was pretty disappointed about - maybe Ill have more luck next year Anyway, this is going O/T, please carry on
-
I give up. Sorry I dont attend any meets, but being the secretary and treasurer of the 200SX OC, an active drift racer, big motorsport fan (Ive had to turn down AAA tickets for BSB 4 times this year ) and running my own company doesnt leave a lot of time. Apologies for my lax attitude. And Ive looked in the media section but again its not exactly straightforward to cross reference every name mentioned on here, then find the page that actually has the pics of their car on it. For instance, Ive just searched for V88 REG and failed to finad anything, then searched Husky and found 4 pages of hits, but only managed one decent pic of his car with a Noble (very nice BTW mate ) and one when it still had Rays on it, which clearly isnt what it looks like now. Hey, its my fault for only having used and administered web forums for 12 years, not yours for being perhaps somewhat insular. Ill move along now, sorry for being interested.
-
Obviously not then. Bit pointless for someone who doesnt know all the cars in the club this one guys I've never posted a pic of mine so you could never simply find it by doing a search Cool, Ill take a few hours and search all of the names on this thread, then pick through and try and find some pictures. I find it hard to believe that people have spent all this money making their cars look beautiful and are passing up an uber opportunity for a photowhore ..........
