  1. Try an IS-F, I was really, really impressed when I drove one.
  2. I think the cars are generally bad for it, running the same size tyres and wheels on my 200SX it isnt as bad, and with admittedly much narrower tyres my GTI-6 wont aquaplane, ever. I do remember running my old 200 with worn 245 DO1J's trackday specials all round though, 15mm of standing water and you couldnt go above 30 mph
  3. TBH, I dont like it at all, but the stupid Chargespeed bumper means there arent many other options. I actually got pulled before I was running it (had it in the car ready to go on) and John Law told me that despite it not being 100% legal (no BS mark or address) he wouldnt fine me for it as he could read the letters. Still fined me for not displaying tax though the bastard.
  4. Is that a UK head unit?? Does it do navigation too??
  5. Business partner had the 1.9, beautiful car to look at and be in and good to drive as well. He had some very minor electrical issues in 3 years ownership, other than that it was pretty faultless. Surprisingly Having driven the 2.4 Id definitely be looking at that, it even sounds like an Alfa, the only thing Id knock on them is there ismt much room, its a bit small for a proper family saloon.
  6. Yep, that understeering in a straight line is a bitch. Having run every combination of tyres in the known universe, from brand new RE050's to tyres on the wire, I would personally say your tramlining is not related to the grip of your tyres. It may well be related to the inflation, or your cars alignment, Id be checking them first. However, Ekona is right that you need to be considering changing the fronts, Id certainly make sure you have them done before actual winter starts.
  7. Anywhere from £400 - £1200 depending on condition DO WHAT?? For £1200 Id want them wrapped in brand new MPS's Then you're not being particularly realistic now are you? "Depending on condition" Even if they've only been on a car for delivery miles - that is still less than half the price Nissan would charge you. I wouldnt pay more than £500 for refurbed ones, call me unreasonable but Ive seen them go in good condition for £250, perfect condition for under £500. £1200 might be half what Nissan would charge, but Nissan prices are really a reasonable comparison for anything

    An Apology

For 4K Id buy 4 GTI-6's myself. The opposite of everything you have just writeen
  10. Lose the shopping list man, particularly as half of it is standard items anyway ........ Those wheels look like they could take a bit of spacing actually, what are the sizes and offsets?
  11. 200SX's dont do 0-100 in 12 seconds, or they would all be doing sub 12 second quarters, wouldnt they?? Ive only owned 3 S12's, 4 S13's and an S14 from standard to 400hp and did 2 track sessions with the SXOC at Japfest in my Z33 ....... you can keep your stopwatch, the Zed was catching stage 2 200's on the straights, particularly between Mcleans and Coppice. Promise. I think torque/power delivery and an extra gear ratio have something to do with it myself. Either that or Ive got a debadged 380RS
  12. Of course the losses are a percentage, the percenbtage just differs from car to car (and roller to roller). Coming from FI cars, those curves are about as sexual as the ones on Kelly Brook. 220 odd lb/ft @ 2000 RPM?? Im going to see Jeremy next month I think, has to be done.
  13. F20C and gearbox is about £2000, as Ekona says, weird choice. Theres an E30 for sale on Driftworks with a CA18DET in it though, that make a a bit more sense .......
  14. Recent "comparisons" at Donington showed that a plenumed, decatted Zed is actually roughly par with a Stage 2 S14 as far as acceleration goes ....... possibly better going up hills
  15. Ive found running costs to be fairly cimilar, but paying for servicing is the difference for me. PArt prices are even more comedy than 200SX ones believe it or not ........
  16. Not being funny here guys, but Im a fairly regular user on here and havent heard anything about Lee dropping off - bearing in mind there was a smiley with his name on it until recently, should there not be a bit of information on whatever the issue with him is/was/will be Youve effectively endorsed his business until quite recently, whats changed??
  17. Just unplug the three plugs near the brake fluid reservoir. You lose ABS, but it gets rid of the stability control too. A friend of mine recently did a 8.3* in a 200SX with 250hp, pretty much shadowing a Belgian racecar instructor in a GT2. He can talk you through the whole circuit (every corner, every name of every corner) from memory though, nothing beats knowledge at the Ring.
  18. Should have swapped them onto the back, performed massive burnout style "burial" ceremony Dont forget drifters will pay good money for part worn tyres regardless of age. If they hold air, they are good.
  19. Ive had a few people tell me its their "dream car", TBH that shows a bit of a lack of ambition to me In summer, when its clean I nearly always get someone say "nice car mate"
  20. Haha! Ive driven Ken's Supercharged S14, its quite funny once you get grip Good work, the SXOC boys ended up 3rd and 4th in class and actually beat one of the DAX's and a couple of Caterhams - both were in daily driven cars with full interiors! Ill be up next year if it doesnt clash again, looked like a good weekend. BTW the XF got a 13.57 on the 1/4 mile, we might run that next year
  21. Aye, Danni can pedal a driftcar for sure. Dont ask her to park it afterwards though: :o
  22. We dont need to know what you did when you got home mate
  23. Two Q's Id have had .......... they say "the reasoning behind those cameras in the last stretch of the limit is that's where people have been killed, statistically proven (i know damn statistics)." Is this directional? It stands to reason that entering a village people will be likely to be going over 30, but after a mile and a half of 30 limit it doesnt seem so likely ......... And also the olod favourite "You wouldnt have killed the child if you had been travelling at 30mph", does the difference in reaction time between a young, healthy and aware man as compared to a 75 year old with failing eyesight come into it?? I dont speed in towns or villages (or at least I try not to) but this "speed kills" bollocks gets right on my tits, I see innumerate examples of inattentive or downright dangerous driving every day, but these people are apparently much safer than me who occasionaly exceeds a limit in a well maintained sportscar ........
  24. Professor is one of my favourite wheels evar, and Im running Type C's on my drifter and Leon Hardiritts (cool name huh?) on my Z33. I like.
  25. 19 inch Profs for £2K?? Ill have two sets please
