Right, these are decent wheels ............. If youve got £2K on the hip, spend another £100 on arch rolling and these would look awesome
-
You mean they arent the best choice of tyre? I thought everyone on here loved them - had them on mine and really didnt rate them at all, you are the first person other than me who has said anything negative I think
-
They are also the 2 piece Meisters, not the considerably more desirable 3 piece (proper split rims) That said, £450 is pretty cheap, youd probably be able to punt them on for something approaching that
-
Zane Lowe is second only to John Peel as the best DJ Ive heard on t' radio - great banter, awesome range of music, he has a real love for his art. Mark and Lard for best double act BTW.
-
No, the Neuton drift team in JDM are supplied Neuton tyres as part of their sponsorship. Theres a couple of pretty major differences there That said, a fair amount of "normal" drifters have used them as road tyres and feedback has been very positive, particularly in the wet. Id certainly consider using them

You have obviously never listened to the R1 daytime line up. Moyles is alright, Mills is good, but the rest of them are absolute muppets - crazy really when after 7pm R1 becomes the best station out there as it drops the playlists. Conincidentally their "take over" bank holidays are awesome too, as they drop the playlist, seeing a pattern here I think R2 is much better but has too much talking in between the tunes (and the occasional "showtunes" or similar guff programming) and as someone who cant take ads I think Im going to have to go DAB as well.

They arent stretched mate, thats a 315 on a 12J. Stretched is 225 on a 10J, comme ca: Will they go on without arch rolling? I dont think so if Im honest, it would be very close though and the car would look amazing after Bear in mind though, that these "very close to fitting perfectly" wheels will stick 30mm further out on the front and 60mm at the back, thats how much the other Meisters dont actually fit
-
Brand new you will be looking at big money, Id still advise a bit of patience until you find something thats going to fit pretty well without spacing, certainly for the front. The other problem with buying a paid of Meisters is that you need another pair from somewhere, they dont come up that often though. If you can stretch to £2K a mate of mine has some truly epic ones for sale, with about £1000 of tyres on them too ........ http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php? ... highlight= This would make all the girls love you and chase you immediately.* *may not actually be true
-
Why not buy something that doesnt need the spacers in the first place? 18x10 ET10 for instance? 225 tyre on a 10j is a stretch too, not really worthwhile unless you need it for fitment purposes. If you like Work Meisters, SSR Professors and Rays Gram light 57 are very similar BTW, youll have to budget £1100+ for set, possibly without tyres though.

I got stopped a little while ago - the V5 for me 350 isnt my home address, but it is another house I own. John Law was more than happy with that ....... but it has now run out of tax because the reminder didnt get sent to my house As far as the OP goes, its a pretty obvious one to me that you need to have your actual address on the V5 - not that its ever happened to me of course but what if they see you speeding but cant catch you, how are they going to appear on your doorstep 5 minutes later to ask what youve been up to ......... or heaven forbid, you are in a serious accident, or the car is found stolen, theres loads of reasons why they could need to contact you.
-
It kinda does though, when you buy new wheels you will generally be asked what "disk" you want, options range from deep to shallow and are for brake fitment. See here, SSR MS01 options: http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showt ... hp?t=13774 This means you can calculate the dish/lip without knowing the disk and the wheel type.

Having done 52 miles drifting round Mallory with a standard S13 200SX LSD I can promise you that they work when cold and dont stop working when they are warm either. The actual oil in the diff is not what causes them to lock and unlock, its a different substance within a cylinder within the diff itself. You know that though, right? As for your second comment, thats absolute rubbish. Again, Ive driven 350's, Skylines and 200's with mech diffs and they are immeasurably better than a viscous LSD, not least because they are totally predictable. Most racecars run some kind of mechanical diff, or a totally locked one, they tend to know what they are doing. Again, on my drive Ive got a 350 with a standard LSD, a 200SX with a 1.5 way and another with a 2 way, Im not talking about what a bloke down the pub told me once. Likewise, Helical diffs (Quaife) are actually very good track tools, I know a good few Time Attack guys running them - they arent exactly "boy racers"

If you like that, youll bloody love this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... e0V71sGoxA

The ET figure is irrelevant without the width of the wheel. To give you an idea in pictures, this is my car running a 10 inch wheel with a +15 offset on the rear: Same car, same width of wheel (10J) but now with an effective offset of -43 (original wheel offset -18, 25mm spacer): Youll notice the stupid increase in wheelarch to accommodate the wheel, this is because the outer edge is 58mm further out than with the earlier wheel, despite the widths being the same. This is because the offset figure has gone from +15 to -43, a difference of 58

Zmanalex is the way forward, you dont want to know what new headlights cost from Nissan In other news though, you crashed into your own car? Well done mate, sterling effort
-
Or an RX8, FD RX7, S15 Silvia, Z4, Z3M Coupe, 3.2 SLK, V6 Audi TT, Golf R32, various TVR's, R32/33 Skyline, Porsche Boxter, older 996 (nearly ), 968, E46 M3, VX220, Monaro, E39 M5, MR2 Turbo ....... all 2 door coupes (apart from the M5), all in the £7K ballpark, all 300ish horses, most are better built too Apart from the TVR's

You can't check a vlsd by jacking up the rear wheels. The vlsd is open and becomes lsd only when the oil gets hot and one wheels loses traction (doesn't have to be fully). Erm, no on both counts. You can check a diff thats in any kind of decent condition by jacking up the rears, and as for the oil getting hot ........ do you know how a viscous LSD actually works? Its certainly nothing to do with heat ....... How are you going to see which wheel(s) is spinning if you are sitting in it?

Its BMW drivers A mate of mine has an E46 330, and was driving down the A12 in the snow the other day - he was in the outside lane overtaking a fair amount of slower moving traffic. Another E46 330 sees this, and obviously thinks "well, if he can, I can" and also pulls out in the outside lane. About half a mile later he finds the rear overtaking the front and finishes up embedded in the central reservation. My mate runs winter tyres, it seems not all 330 drivers do ........

Come to Bedford on 26th March, laugh as I go flying off track trying to keep up with a mate in his 911

Nice one, Ive got my drift car in at a place called DI Racing on Fen Road, the guy who runs it is a very knowledgeable engine builder so if you cant face main stealer prices (or probably even Barr Tech prices) for a service he is worth a punt Mine is due a P1 again now and I think Ill just do it myself, TBH after the last experience (and bill) at Marshalls I did wonder what the hell I was paying for
-
Dont be so sure ......... Im tempted myself, any chance of a Spurs fan discount? Ill try to get back to you before the weekend
-
Dont ever turn the traction control off.
-
Check this zed out, any good or is he talking poop
docwra replied to Richsouth's topic in 350Z General
TBH if its been uprevved its been on rollers, if there were any major issues with mods they would have shown up then - what hes got is difficult to mess up anyway The only thing Id be a bit about would be why he hasnt done an engine diagnostic to see why the EML light is coming on, it takes 45 seconds or even less with an OBD reader -
Wow, the effort thats gone into making those arches look right is only matched by the lack of effort choosing the wheels Thats not too bad at all though - replace the wheels with something decent that actually fills the arches, lower it another 25mm and it would be quite a nice looking car I think
-
Not from a standing start you cant, and even when you are moving your "drift" will turn into a "one wheel burnout" soon enough. Removal of boot plastics doesnt make a lot of difference to driftiness, trust me
