Use a different garage. Im no Z33 brake expert, Im sure one will be along shortly, but sounds like he's feeding you a load of shyte. I certainly wouldnt go near any company that starts messing with standard brakes to make them stop squeaking, maybe they could correctly diagnose the cause in the first place?

I know, but at that point I was phoning every fortnight or so. They had paid out for at least 4 cars to be valeted and god knows how many houses to be repainted from the crap that was thrown up too. I actually ended up getting English Heritage involved as I thought the house was falling down from the buses. It was physically shaking everytime one went past What, actually sort out the "Road of Death" thats had traffic issues for all of the 25 odd years Ive lived here? Dont be silly, what they want to do is build another 150 houses in Linton without touching the roads. Like they are going to. Hear your car every day you go through the village BTW, sounding and looking good (you drive right past my bedroom window ) And that is entirely my issue. I get hit for the same CT as a family of 8, despite already contributing more as a high earner, owner of a business but taking less because I dont have kids and live in a place where we are not provided with any facilities to use.

you don't use the highway then? Isn't that Road Tax? Its actually not road tax, that goes elsewhere. That said I pay the best part of £3K in that as well. As stated, the potholes in the "highway" outside my house were repaired no less than 7 times last year, and about the saem the year before, causing shedloads of tar to coat my car and house and potentially structurally damaging the house too - its a listed building on a bus route and shook every time one came past and went through the potholes. Ive also noticed my commute to work go up from 25 minutes each way to 45 minutes each way due solely to traffic congestion. So yeah, I do use them but they are crap. EDIT: Ricey's on the money

Schools arent really a choice, we would struggle to use them at the moment to be fair, what with no kids and all Off that list, we dont have a library (it closed), there arent any parks here (we live in the country), theres no leisure facilities within 10 miles, and those there are are £5 for an hour, Im not really sure how council tax pays for housing, but I certainly dont see any of that, we have to pay to use the village hall/community centre and the local car park, we have to pay to be buried in the cemetary, there arent any public toilets in a 12 mile radius ........ oh, but we do have a war memorial. That could have been erected for a year of my council tax. So I get roads (though council paid for my car to be valeted twice due to crap thrown up from potholes outside my house), waste disposal and tourism for my £3K a year, bargain. Loving the "What does Council Tax pay for? Collecting Council Tax" one though, thats really made me feel better. It just riles me that my brother, who lives less than 10 miles away in a different district, pays less than half of what I do but gets better facilities, I dont feel like we are getting any value

Bit close to home maybe??
-
I did this, as mine is £240 a month (4 beds, 2 people living in it). They came back and told me that my house was actually correct, but they had reduced my other house's council tax ......... the one that my brother pays as he lives there. It is a ridiculous amount, and as Ive said before, when we dont use the schools, NHS (both private medical), Police (useless) or anything else it makes taking two bins and providing a fire engine that doesnt arrive for 25 minutes pretty bloody expensive.

Any chance you could let the rest of us know too?

But sanity can be regained and you can recover - I may be wrong but I believe the individual can then take control of their moneys again once they are back in the room. Its also damn difficult to get sorted, my Grandad went lala last year and they wouldnt even give his wife of 60 years power of attorney over his accounts. Theres also room for appeal if the wrong decision is made. AFAIK no-one has recovered from death as yet

Thats the same argument as capital punishment though, how do you ever know 100%? As with most things, theres a line that has to be drawn and thats whats preventing a law being passed. I totally agree with yer man being allowed to die, but what about someone whos illness isnt as advanced, or someone who has only just contracted it? What illnesses do you allow euthanasia for, which ones "arent so bad"? not the same, the person who is terminally ill should have the choice to terminate themselves rather than it being a long painful, drawn out, slow death in many cases. Capital punishment is decided by a judge, not the person who is terminally ill. I would of thought its a case od drawing up specific diseases/cases, maybe a point system, to quailify for self euthinasia You are totally, totally missing the issue here. Its not whether someone should be given the right to choose to die, it whether the person that helps them is committing a crime. Suicide isnt illegal, assisted suicide is. If you introduce any law allowing it then its open to abuse when I want to knock off my Mum to get at my inheritance, for instance.

We had the 200SX Owners Club staff meet this weekend, there were 25 of us there I think. One person came in a 200SX, a bit more than half turned up in or own BMW's. Likewise with Driftworks, the Europe's leading drift company and one of the best teams in the world. These guys think nothing of rocking out in 700hp S15's, Skylines, Toyota Chasers, beautifully prepped AE86's and the like .......... and they all now drive BMW's. Sad as it is to say, BMW's really are the best cars in the world.

How bad is the damage? If its not too deep, some places will grind is out and reseal, if theres a lot missing then the answer is to TIG weld metal back onto the rim, then grind it back - this obviously takes a bit more time and talent. The only place I know that arent scared by anything other than chromed rims (and everyone is scared by chrome rims) is Wheelgenie, near Huntingdon - Ive spoken to a lot of other places and very few will take on repairs on high end wheels like they will, they will also relacquer the wheel so you dont have to clean it every week

6 posts before this one you were comparing it to an Aston Vantage ......... Quite interesting to see how many think its quicker at the redline too, IMO you want to be changing up at about 6300 to make it go fastest. As Ekona says though, it may not be the fastest thing on 4 wheels but its more enjoyable than a lot of other stuff

Mine was in Japanese, so no.
-
Meh, who wants storage space anyway. You had an MR2 once, right??
-
See my comments on other page, it will actually be able to run more boost and go even faster, while costing less in fuel. There isnt actually a downside.

See 1:30 in this video, some people do drive Z8's hard. My old boss used to have one, gorgeous it was. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2bZWQNbCN4

Damn. Can I ask though, as Ive always wondered ........... what does it actually feel like to drive off a cliff? Id imagine its rather more "intense" than your average crash

If they're not M3s they've gone to a lot of trouble to change the front wings and bonnet. I could be wrong but i've never seen those Bulged/Vented bonnets on any other 3 series. DB Fair play, the sites claimed they were 335's though. Either way they look bloody good to me eye
-
Yep, youd drive straight past these two without even looking .......... And then youve got the E30 M3, Z1, Z8, Z4/Z4 Coupe, Z3M Coupe, M1, 8 series, M6, E39 M5, £0 Wagon, E30 convertible ........ hell, I even like 2002's As for the other pics I posted, none of them are M3's, all three are just wheels and lowering, thats not major modification. Compared to anything short of a Alfa 159 or Maserati Quattroporte Im not sure theres a better looking 4 door on sale without smashing out megabucks. Not saying that it isnt subjective but relative to a Vauxhall Insignia or an Audi A4 they are much nicer looking
-
That suprises me, when I drove my mates one I thought it felt quite a lot quicker than the Zed, nothing like as good round the bends though. Power and weight are broadly similar, but peak torque at 1400rpm, 1/4 mile at 0.2 seconds faster and turbo tuneability says to me yer man wasnt wringing its neck by any means. You WHAT??!! As 4 door coupes go, its pretty bloody good ........... the coupes are achingly beautiful with a nice set of wheels too
-
Sweet Jesus, Id lose front and back bumpers, rear valance, sump, bottom half of gearbox and exhaust going over that.
-
Weirdly enough two of the things I was after when mine had a ditch interface, bloody nightmare to find
-
Yep, its not a car for pub numbers. Like Tarmacs suggestions as well too, as I said earlier I think it handles and stops pretty well out of the box anyway
-
Just soemonthing I noticed on the "best mods for £1500" thread, everyone seems to be recommmending brake upgrades straight off the bat. Im surprised by this as the standard Brembos (not driven non-bremobos) are pretty good and for me there are obvious things to do before replacing a pretty decent bit of kit - make it sound and handle like a proper car for a start I know very good brakes make a lot of difference on track but on the road less so, just wondered why people were listing them off as a "must have" type of thing
