You're a **** I AM joking BTW.............................................................Docwra is more of a ***** than a **** I just have a really unnatural obession with trying to make people laugh......I guess its the only thing I've vaguely good at (see previous DIY threads, football injury threads, lack of career ambition or indeed ambition to literally do anything) ROFL, all good natured banter ............. but seriously, I am a ****. Nothing wrong with nicknames starting with "The", Im known as "The Pimp" in some parts, but if you give it to yourself as per Paul Ince calling himself "The Guvna" then you are a proper tool.
-
Call me a **** by all means, but starting a thread to highlight your own posts on another forum is akin to claiming "Im totally mad me!" or giving yourself a nickname Nice work though
-
Ill be honest, Ive changed gearboxes and engines in the past but still bottled it and got a garage to do the plugs, some jobs are too much of a bastard to worry about the cost ............
-
Very strange advice if you ask me, caster is usually adjusted to change steering characteristics, not to prevent tyre wear. Are you sure he wasnt talking about camber? Caster adjustment is usually by way of a bush for the traction arm, if you arent seriously tracking it then Id leave it alone myself.

I mainly drink Havana Club as its easy to get hold of - the 7 year old is exceptional, nicer than the 12, 15 and Cuban Barrel Proof IMO.

Am I really the only one here who doesn't pootle Nope, throttle controller hasnt been off SP7 since I got it, fuel consuption starts with a "1" .......... when its in double figures Its like when people ask me about the mpg, I say "people tell me it will do 30mpg"
-
How loud is it then?? Kaaz, Nismo or somewhere inbetween?
-
Forget it, the cars a write off, my previous experience is all wrong.

My exhaust broke on the way back from Le Mans .......... it sounded so awesome I was driving through towns in first

The wheel allignment will be a mile out as the tyres are delaminated. It needs to go on a jig to check the chassis allignment. Explain to me how tyres affect wheel alignment OP - when I crashed my Zed (and at least 4 cars before it) I got it wheel aligned to see if there was any, and if so how major, the damage was. Ignore me like everyone else does if you like but it is personal experience, which lead to my Zed staying on the road rather than being written off, a chassis jib will cost considerably more money.

Im no expert on N/A engines but thats not lean as such, although certainly the highest line on the AFR is higher than Id personally like. Abbey wouldnt have let you leave if it wasnt doing what it should though, Id guess something has happened since then, possibly an inlet leak. Out of interest, how did the place you took it know it was running lean, and how did they find a "dirty" part from that, do they have rollers too? If so, have you got the printout?

You say that, but you couldnt get near the car itself on the parades, the crowd were clearly more interested in that than anything else, and Radio LM reported a 40% drop in online audience after it went out. The crowd actively perked up when it came round each time and EVERYONE I spoke to down there was gutted when it got Nakajima'd. Lets be honest here, while due to its shape it will probably only ever work in a single marque series, it was a first year car thats totally different from anything thats been before it, it was put together in less than 6 months, its running a 1.6 litre engine putting out only 300hp, but despite being 30mph off the pace down Mulsanne was still putting in decent LMP2 times. Thats absolutely astonishing, no question. Ill admit I thought it was a gimmick, but after roughly timing it on one practice lap and seeing a 3.40 on my watch I realised it wasnt there too **** about. And it didnt

Try driving a widearch one with chrome 5 inch lip wheels front and back Houx and Karting Nord are the only sites I would consider myself but then we dont turn the music off until 5am ....... Ekona is right on one thing though, you really have to camp. We go down with a 17-40 person strong team every year with a support vehicle so have big gazebos, proper cooking, fridges, digital 42 inch TV and its the way to to go, believe me

That was pretty weak TBH, Ive done better than that on my way to work ...... Join Ebized at Lydden, see real men (and Shane Lynch) do proper drifting

Bloody hell, they like to expect the worst on here dont they? Where is the last picture, 828 of BTW? Get it 4 wheel aligned, that will tell you if the chassis is bent or if its just the rail ends that are damaged. For the sake of £80 its worth doing

OK, its not a Zed but I promise you wont see another one this year I bought it from the lovely Jason on here, having seen it when it was originally imported and fallen in love with it. It is a totally unique car, the only other one in the country belongs to Mitch and is still fairly standard, this is a full on driftcar with fully adjustable suspension, short 1.5 way diff and SR20DET with V mount and GT28R. I will actually use the word RARE here, as I have literally found a handful worldwide, the simple fact is you will not lose money on this car if you buy it. The car is a 1987 Silvia Convertible, not to be confused with the USDM 240SX Convertibles that are LHD and uglier. There were apparently 503 of these cars made by Autech but due to their high price not all of them sold. This one has had a Onevia conversion (pop up lights) and has been upgraded in every other department too. All of the aero is genuine, the turbo is brand new and mechanically its perfect, its a unique driving experience to be able to cruise about with the hood down listening to 80's pop tunes, come up to a (private) roundabout, get some tyre smoke coming over the rear deck and then continue on your way at a gentle cruise Its a bloody good driftcar too, although youd have to be brave to use it in competition youd definitely get noticed Ive just spent a grand tidying it up for a potential buyer who then decided he didnt want it after all , the only thing I should mention is my half arsed paint job on the front lip, this will need doing again but previous problems with hydraulic hood and rear quarter windows are now fixed and it has a years MoT and 6 months tax. I used it as a daily for two weeks (when the sun was out) and its the best car Ive done the drive in Spec is as follows: 1988 Nissan Silvia PS13, incorporates chassis strengthening, electric rear windows, and a semi electric roof. 180sx front end conversion Uras 180sx front bumper Kazama side skirts Kazama rear bumper D - max vented carbon fibre bonnet URAS Rear Lights Rays Gram Light 57f Pro wheels 18x9 ET20 and 18x10 ET15 rims with new Falken FK452 225/40/18 and 235/40/18 tyres Project Kics R40 Neo Chro wheel nuts (£220!) 180sx front seats Momo steering wheel Driftworks removable steering wheel spacer Alpine Head unit + I pod connectivity Professionally flocked dash and centre console 5 stud hub conversion R32 Skyline front brake calipers SR20 'red top' and 5 speed manual box conversion (non Vvti) Spec clutch (1500 miles old) Garrett GT28R (under 1000 miles) Greddy profec b spec 2 boost controller Engine earthing kit Walbro fuel pump Unknown downpipe 3 inch tailpipe Unknown decat pipe V-mount uprated intercooler Apexi air filter Kenlowe Electric fan conversion Unknown front strut brace RSR front coilovers with pillowball top mounts Tein rear coilovers D2 tension rods D2 rear camber arms D2 rear toe arms Tein steering rods and arms 1.5 way mechanical diff with shorter final drive (I reckon its a Nismo as its very smooth) MONEYS Offers over £6500, it was up for this last time but Ive spent another £700 odd getting the roof and windows fixed and have put tax and MoT on it too. You only have to look at what hardtop Silvias are going for to see thats bargainous

Sadly what everyone is telling you is true, modified cars get a fraction of what they actually cost to put together. See here: http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drift-c ... 012-a.html - Supercharged, admittedly unmapped but it was up for £8K for 4 months before it sold.

Jesus, I didnt realise there were so many crocks on here Im still recovering from a sprained ankle (done by falling into a flooded river while drunk, also lost half a tooth and ended up smashing two back windows out of my house to get back in), I definitely dont fancy yours much. Get well soon, and Ive recently found that Two and a Half Men and Storage Wars/Auction Hunters can kill hours of time in one hit if you have enough recorded

Like this: Need to go much lower to make them really work.

Anyone travelling down to Le Mans?
docwra replied to The Bounty Bar Kid's topic in National Events & Shows
Yeah, heading down Wednesday but due to a late change of vehicle (Campervan failed Mot ) Zed wont be stickered up From a few years ago though: -
Or you can just do a massive burnout. I have KU31's on my MR2, very communicative and decent grip too
-
Hello dude, seems we are slowly creeping in here You tried drifting a Zed? You have a treat in store if you havent, low down torque makes 4th pretty easy ........
-
O2 sensors wont cause dodgy tickover, and theres one MAF sensor, its just after the airbox
-
Put it in 5th or 6th (ideally up a hill) and floor it, there is a lot more torque in high gears than there is down low
