V8? Check. 400hp through rear wheels? Check. What else do you need?
-
Here ya go, some under load, some unloaded.
-
I think the mega lows make up for the small rims. Never seen blue centres work before either, well done that man.
-
No way, black GTR-D's all the way, fitted to within a millimetre of their life. Definitely needs something, and quick too
-
Civic, Integra, NSX or Accord? I can tell you now one of them in particular is loads better than a 350Z but theres only two in the UK
-
Hah, I know the last two cars these were fitted to Pimp, but youd want a 19 for a Zed IMO ........... although this one is on 18's, the rears are 11J ET -16 so a bit more aggressive than these. Check the retail prices for Garson Deep Racing (this model) if you want a laugh though

In my opinion the Gti-6 has the better engine. Very underrated car, still outdoes cars like the Fiesta ST and its 15 years old! I try to hold my tongue a bit as Ive been known to bang on constantly about them, but I adore mine, and would probably sell everything I have before letting it go, you cant get close to it for the money. I dont know of anything else that can cruise about totally unnoticed doing 35 mpg, carry 5 people when needs be, take you to Le Mans and back without missing a beat, do a dump run and still chase M3's down twisty roads while costing well under £3K for a mint one and a grand for a decent one - they dont rust either and part prices are back of the sofa money. I had two at one point and came very close to buying a third to keep as a second spare I really cant understand why more people dont have them, but I said that about the Delta HF Turbo I had too. Although after the turbo blew and it started oxidising rapidly I had a better idea

Id usually agree, but when every other event we attend as a club gets considerably more positive feedback from the staff organising and the members Ive got to listen to what they say. It aint what it used to be
-
The original 172 Clio and the GTI-6 made me totally change the way I thought about FWD, its worth trying one Id also strongly advise people not to try a Metro 1.0 Automatic or a Yugo, just take my word for it.
-
Dont worry about it... its just because your a woman driver.... practice your take off a bit more and it will be fine Amazing work SRSLY though, stick it in 6th going up a hill at about 40mph and floor it. If revs rise, clutch is f00bed.

Fair play, listen to Doogy Rev if you will be spending most of your time in the passenger seat then You forget all about the build quality and ride as soon as you get onto a decent B road, trust me. Unless these are the two things you look for most in a sporty car of course, dynamics and the fun factor are up the top of my list, which is why I think both are "great" rather than "awful" (which is pretty harsh mate, youve got to admit - a Zastava Yugo or 1.0 Automatic Metro are "awful" .........)

JAE isnt what it used to be, I remember going to the 2002 one at Billing and its slowly declined from there IMO. There are less traders, less cars and clubs, the venues arent great anymore and as with anything the noice police have got more involved, we were told to kill our music at 11pm last year Hopefully it will be decent again but theres just not enough interest for me these days, at least its not gone the way of the chav like F+M, Trax and the Fast Show.
-
Just to add that the RR itself isnt what would trigger the TC, its the difference between front and back

Tablets hurt your eyes after a few hours and the battery life isnt long enough generally. Ive had Kindles for the last couple of years, really rate them other than the screen freeze issue, Ive now sent 4 back to them Now got a Kindle Touch as a replacement, smaller, easier to use and hopefully a bit more reliable but only time will tell.

Neil - for some reason its telling me I canty post images more than 1024px wide even though the ones I have are ~950px ........ Front clearance is about 2 and a bit inches, its PROPER low
-
Balancing will pick up buckles, and not to disagree with Alex but Id be surprised if a missing spigot ring would cause that level of shaking.
-
Springs are cheaper but wont have the same effect of "stiffening" the car. If you added uprated ARB's as well you might have a similar effect but then youll have spent more than the coilovers would have cost in the first place ............ And believe me, you can go lower, mine hit a cats eye with the front bumper the other day

Drive an S4 before doing anything, as Im pretty sure I said earlier in the thread I was amazed at how bad the handling was. I last test drove one in about 2006 so may or may not have had the updated diff No word from my mate with the B7 though, sorry dude
-
Have you genuinely driven both of them enough to make that opinion. I doubt it, both are excellent cars. Id personally go with the Megane as its a bit more grown up and practical like ........ but have you considered an M3 at all? Why do you have to have driven a car to think it is awful, I have never slept with Susan Boyle but I think I am entitled to say I think it would be awful! Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I have never driven either and I wouldn't say they are terrible to drive but I think they are both awful cars. Dude, you cant give a review of something youve never used - by all means say the interiors are horrid, or they look like ass, but you cant say a car is "awful" without driving it, particularly not driver focused efforts like this. Double particularly when both are excellent at what they do. Can you really see Jeremy Clarkson starting each review with "well, I havent actually tried this car but ........" it wouldnt get too many reads I dont think To use your Subo example, you can certainly say that you think shes pretty unattractive, or that shes got a great voice, but I wouldnt take your advice on whether she cooks a decent meal ......... and if I was going round there for dinner that information would probably be rather more relevant, no?
-
I put HSD coilovers onto mine and probably wont change anything else until I have to, if you are only doing one thing Id be looking there.

Why buy a shed when a Clio/GTI-6 is under a grand anyway?
-
Uhhh, I think your MoT still stands even if the car is decatted, it doesnt magically get revoked. You wont pass without soem form of cat in, but its not an issue once youve got the ticket.
-
That charged 5 is pretty heavy money IMO, I have a good friend who keeps buying them and is paying a lot less than that. EDIT: At £5200 it might be worth a look mind you, sorted ones are real little rocketships I have an MR2 Roadster and it is is awesome fun. Not the fastest in a straight line, and totally impractical but a real laugh, if you can find one with the Celica or even Camry V6 conversions they would be pretty awesome Id have said that for £10K theres better options out there though, Id be looking toward old 911's and Boxsters.
-
Is a decat not a better bet then .......... and therefore more of a "must"?? OP, you probably wont get exactly 298hp, things vary from car to car, TBH the pursuit of increased drivability is far more rewarding than the pursuit of power figures in these cars
