Its @*!#, I had to replace my level sensor (its also the temp sensor) and the level bit isnt working, so I dont know how much is in the car. Even when its working it doesnt give a reading until warm. To replace sensor again you either have to run vacuum through the whole block or replace the oil. Again.

Meister R - GT1 coilovers review - UPDATED 2018 ver
docwra replied to RobPhoboS's topic in Suspension
Ive been back to the Ring twice with these fitted, Spa twice and done many other trackdays and still cant fault them. Full soft damping on way to the track and its more comfy than standard, full hard at track and its a racecar. Would love to see a B2B test with KW's as I reckon these are better performing -
Trump has made his first intelligent comment in 676 days of office :o My understanding is that while we can negotiate trade deals during the "backstop" purgatory we cannot implement them until we are out of it, that would really be having your cake and eating it. As anyone with a basic grasp of contracts negotiations knows, its pretty difficult to write one for an undisclosed point in the future and youd have to be extremely stupid to agree to it. Will be very interesting to see what Theresa has to say about this one, Im still reeling about Trump.

He has U turned on this twice already, hes clearly only in it for himself. Up there with Boris levels of self serving scumbaggery IMO. If it was obvious to me 2 years ago that we would end up in this "compromise" where no-one really wins, that a no deal would be disastrous and that actually we are probably just going to retain the status quo as its the only realistic route open to us it makes you wonder what all these experts have been doing in the meantime. The EU were never actually going to let us leave with any kind of good deal (why would they?) so self serving decision are all they are left with.

The bit that the Churchill quoters seem to miss is that things move on. Sure, we had big coal, steel and major engineering industries up to the 70's, but these are all material and labour intensive and youre never going to compete with India and China in stuff like that. How much of our GDP in the 70s was from technology and pharma? We still have industry, just not the same industry.

How can a 1M be one of the most sought after cars out there but a 135i "looks like a shoe"?

Maggz, what do you do for a living? Im not sure Ive seen anyone else who has that level of grasp of the situation (certainly not the politicians lol), I honestly dont think Id have said anything different myself. FTR Ive owned and run an aviation recruitment company that gets about 65% of its income from Europe for the last 18 years, Im there visiting every few weeks as well

Agree with the bit about our natural instincts being the main reason we crash - if you panic youre not going to save the situation, if you can train people to have a more measured reaction they will invariably be more comfortable driving at, or even over the limit. The first time you steer into a slide and apply power without even thinking about it is a magic moment I see it a lot on wet trackdays, the guys that used to drift race are always the fastest on the circuit regardless of what they are driving as they arent scared of losing control, with proper racers you dont even notice its wet

You just cited the Daily Mail and a Twitter account that admits it "Highlighting the wilful surrender of UK political control over defence which the May government perpetrated 2017 " to support a point, you cant really speak I dont get whats being argued here - Macron and Merkel are saying they cant rely on the US anymore (they cant), while the British Defence Minister has to say its rubbish or he risks undermining NATO. when in actual fact if the US are going to pull out of NATO its the obvious choice. When you consider our "special relationship" with the US has lead us into two wars we didnt need to fight and has increased the threat of terrorism substantially I think it would make a lot more sense to team up with our closest neighbours rather than a loony who actual loves Putin and was threatening to nuke North Korea not that long ago .....

N54 with a map and an intercooler will see 430hp and 550lb/ft, N55 is about 400 and 500 but with turbos and fuelling there are 800+hp cars with unopened N54's in the US. MHD is the management of choice and can be downloaded for buttons then put onto the car, generic maps are supposedly pretty good. M3 arms and ARB's are relatively cheap, a diff will be about £1000is. The E92 M3 is a better car on track but everywhere else the low down torque of the 35 makes it a better, and dare I say faster drive. There

I can only think they dont know what happened in Georgia 10 years ago, or Ukraine 2 years ago (and continues to happen), the Russians are taking back South Ossetia as we type well. It wouldnt take much for them to "give assistance against rebel forces" to some where like Moldova or Estonia, both countries where there is a lot of support for Russia - they simply arent big enough to be able to defend themselves and before you know it the USSR is creeping back towards the Berlin wall. With Far Right support growing in Poland and Scandinavia, China having an army thats bigger than most populations and looney Trump with one his hand on the big button and the other threatening to pull out of NATO why wouldnt you want an EU army?

Oh, and its ben pointed out before but Europe would be very happy for us to rip up article 50 and make like nothing happened. And as for the orange destroyer of worlds, he also crowed about resolving North Korea but hasnt mentioned it since it became clear its not resolved, he has not BUILT THAT WALL, nearly every member of his staff have been indicted, arrested, charged or had strong evidence of corruption levelled at them (drain the swamp anyone?), he has not banned or removed Muslims and his grasp of science particularly in relation to global warming is very, very scary. He is still under investigation for cllusion with Russians but still constantly shouts "crooked Hilary" and "lock her up" ......... except his daughter has just been found doing exactly the same thing. He has also undermined the extremely important role of the press/media for nothing other than his own gains, made it acceptable to fabricate information, insulted most of America one way or another, the UN, the EU and everyone else .......... but hes going to make a Space Corps, GO TRUMP!

Just a couple of points from the last page or two: The UK has more right to veto than any other EU member. We also have our own currency, we are an Island state and we have one of the strongest economies. We already have control over EU immigration numbers and who we pay benefit to, staying in the EU is not a poison chalice by any means. While we were mislead by certain MP's, the correct information about everything was out there if you looked for it. Our co-operation with the EU is a lot of the reason we have the Japanese car factories, our financial system is so strong and we have benefitted from a lot of environmental and human right legislation too. Trump isnt delivering **** all, where he is seen to be achieving its off the back of Obama. If you cant see the cancer that he is then any comment you make on Brexitis immediate inval;id in my eyes. Superstu has one of the best takes on this of anyone Ive seen.

That and the farming quotas are the only real benefit I can see to the UK if we do bang out, but I think they are relatively minor when compared with the rest of the picture - I dont remember Boris standing on top of a red bus saying how great it would be for fishermen either. I do remember Farage on the Thames, but Farage. They EU have played a blinder here really, while they have given some concessions to us they clearly arent enough to justify leaving ........ and if the UK cant leave the EU what chance do Italy and Spain have? I actually think we could probably handle a staged withdrawal over 10 years or so but the problem would be the same as right now - continuing to pay into the EU and be governed by the EC is not what the leave voters thought they were voting for. Stick the Irish border and Gibraltar on top of that (changes to which I believe would be an infringement of human rights) and you wonder why no-one realised that this wasnt ever going to be possible a long time ago.
-
TBH it was a skewed vote anyway as Cameron and Co were looking for their "winning" majority to be as slim as possible to give them more leverage with Brussels, the £350m was a lie from the start but no-one thought to mention it. Ive also got to take issue with all of the folk saying Theresa May is a liar and should resign and all of that crap; in reality she has got the best compromise deal we could have hoped for and despite being a remainer has done a very decent job of negotiating with 27 other countries. Again, Ive been asking the noisy people what they would have done differently and what their outcome would be and weirdly Ive had nothing back from them. This isnt some minor decision that can be sorted out on a bit of A4, this is trying to extract ourselves from our own justice, trade, economic and civil legislation with 27 other countries that dont want us to do it. Everything from the vote, to the timescale to the muppets like Farage and Mogg spouting bullshit every second day has been unrealistic and frankly a bit of a shambles.

Ive run a European business for the last 15 years and posts like the above scare the daylights out of me TBH. What you hear will happen if we have a hard Brexit isnt "Project Fear", its the reality; we still end up with all of the same problems as the "deal" TM is trying to sell has but we also create huge trade and financial issues. The fact that a misinformed/ill informed vote happened 2 years ago shouldn't mean we are held to destroying the countries economy - there is so much more information and detail readily available now that youve no excuse for making an informed decision. Other than "we voted for it" Ive still not heard a single benefit of leaving the EU, despite (or maybe in spite of) new information. It isnt a dead cert we would be allowed to trade under WTO rules, and when its taken his long to get to a relatively incomplete deal with one trade bloc how long do you think it would take to make individual trade agreements with countries around the world? Mentioning Churchill, making our own laws*, control over immigration** or the financial benefit*** is not a valid answer. Im all for democracy but the substance of whats on offer needs to be considered even more carefully than the original "leave" intention, particularly when its come to light that a lot of what we were told was inaccurate. The choices that we nw have are a half arsed "deal" where we continue to pay and fall in line but dont get any input into decisions, a "no deal" Brexit that leaves us not only out on our own globally but starting from scratch again (see recent stories about Turkish economy to see why thats bad) or maintaining a status quo, albeit one that its clear a lot of people arent happy with. * Tell me a bad or unfair law that EU have forced on us, Ive got all day ** Its been proven that EU immigration is a net benefit and besides, we already have various powers of veto over it we dont choose to use. *** No-one believes that £350m a week thing any more do they? Everyone accepts there will have to be some kind of divorce "bill", dont they?

I love a mapped Porsche Turbot, the figures they do are insane - 350whp @ 4K is not to be sniffed at. I take it youre not selling it for a while now?
-
1. Yeah, Ive got carbon bits on my 135i that have been there at least 6 years and they still look fine. 2. Who do you work for, I run an aero recruitment company with a bit of a specialism in composites
-
You need more details, and a few pics. If its doing 600hp I assume the engine is forged ....... but even then it would have to be something special to see £15K IMO.

The thing is the 370 really isnt that far different from the 350 and thats now a 17 year old car. In the same time period BMW have offered E46, E92 and F30 3 Series, all of which are markedly different from the others (they have all had LCI/facelifts too and theres a new one out next year), even Porsche have released 3 different Caymans since 2006 too. It is an old car, with old tech and outdated performance and you cant hide that. It doesnt have to be a GT3RS, a newish MX5 or aforementioned BMW's feel light years more advanced in the chassis and their power delivery. I loved my 350 when I bought it in 2006 but where tech has moved on, Nissan dont seem to have done anything with the Z car, probably because hey dotn want it nicking GTR sales

Remember when it started going wrong at RBR as well? Same thing, toys start getting ejected everywhere. I actually like the bloke and hes high on the list of F1 drivers Id like to have a pint with (Kimi, Ricciardo and Button are the podium places) but he needs to work on his losing face. Ive got a few mates in F1 and invariably Im told Lewis is a massive ****. Shame.

I think it was the 20i but he said it was what youd hope for - sporty, fairly stiff, felt light on the road and suggests the bigger engined cars are going to be worth a serious look, even with the 20i he said it was fast enough and good fun

A friend of mine has driven the new Z4 and was well impressed - said it felt light, wieldy and much better than his current Z4M. Nice

My 135 went to Snetterton about a month ago, Spa and Zolder a couple of weeks back and is at Nur next week, cruiser on the street and monster on the track. Get it done
