They are also going sideways at about 85 mph, and that crossed thing in the first video looks a bit less strong than armco Trela is the master and Id fecking love to go there though, it must be such a rush watching them come past like that

We get told that one of the best things at Karpacz drift events is how close the crowd get to the cars, Ive personally always cringed watching the videos as its like waiting for Grp B to happen all over again. Always make sure you have an escape route if youre watching racing, a mate of mine narrowly escaped getting a bike to the midsection at the TT a few weeks ago as hed moved the stuff that was behind him (a bike and a table/chairs), unfortunately the guy next to him wasnt so lucky Anyway, if you think thats bad, this is an accident waiting to happen:

Respec' Josh Need sound video clip though

Team Juan Sheet (one of the lads is the spit of him) complete with stickered up cars and T shirts. If you were anywhere near Houx Annexe and heard a lot of Village People tunes on Friday night, that will have been our gay disco as well, complete with massive smoke machine EDIT: The Grand Voyager you can make out in the background cost £250 but made it there and back with 5 bodies in there, we also pulled it into the marquee and sat in it to watch the start of the race on the TV - much comfier than a camping chair
-
But do you have a vested interest Not in the slightest, I dont run a shop
-
Id personally recommend HSD's, still really impressed with them

Junction Produce stuff is awesome quality but comedy prices, that said a properly done VIP car can be amazing - heres a feature on my mates Lam's, the rims are for sale now if anyones interested too: http://www.speedhunters.com/2011/05/car_spotlight_gt_gt_uk_vip_aristo/ As for Jags ...........

Or make a decision for yourself rather than listening to those with a vested interest

Just to add, theres no saying the garage knew there was a fault either - I have a recurring fault with mine where the throttle pedal gets disengaged effectively and you lose all drive, enough to put you right off buying a car. When it happened on the test drive the guy selling it was distraught as it had never done that before, I researched it and was happy enough it wasnt anything major so bought the car anyway. Well, I say recurring, Ive had it 4 times in as 5 years so I fully believe he hadnt seen it before

Thats more like it. SF Challenge I believe, pretty rare in the UK but they like em in the states Search Japanese Performance on Facebook as well, find the 19 inch Agle Premiums, buy them for a grand and win at life or these Stich Mesh: I need to stop looking NOW.

Nope, Id go as far as to say they look horrible, I wouldnt pay £120, never mind £1200. Katy, if you want wheels, go here: http://www.rimtuck.com/search/thumbnails&make=Nissan&model=350Z and see what can be done. Seriously, take a bit of time, do a bit of research and youd be amazed at what you can pick up Ive plugged them elsewhere on here but my old Gram Lights are for sale at the moment, £1200 with brand new FK452's and they look great on a 350Z http://www.driftworks.com/forum/wheels-tyres-sale-private-sales/200826-super-rare-rays-gramlight-57f-pro-18x9-et20-18x10-et15.html

Ive never got more than 26.4 mpg TBH, I rarely drop below 20mpg though and I drive pretty hard.
-
Definitely - Mallory Park used to be THE circuit with 100+ mph entry into Gerards and the Devils Elbow but I dont think its coming back, Teeside, Snetterton and Lydden are all good but I dont think they are quite that fast, they certainly dont demand the precision that those big ole walls do
-
Fair enough, I dont like your wheels either. Those are for sale though, with brand new FK452's for about £1200 at the moment, in case anyone else does like them

£6K for a 52 plate? Has the world gone mad? And if I was fitting "stage 2" camshafts, Id also fit vernier pulleys at least and probably standalone management as Id imagine the standard timing wouldnt lend itself to getting the most out of £1K's worth of Brian Crowers finest ....... Actually, Id find something else to spend the money on like an expansion bottle, or a new drivers seat ...........
-
They arent too bad but Id honestly have taken the advice on here. The fitment is always going to be wrong, and TWS's arent famed for their light weight or strength. They will clear the brakes but when stuff like: can be had for not much more than half what you spent .........
-
TBF it was built with advanced drifters in mind, theres very few places we can go pay and be challenged these days, thats one of the reasons Ive just broken my drift car Its definitely legit though, site was a kart circuit beforehand and a fair amount of money has been sent by all accounts. Cant wait to go see it myself, its a very japanese set up.
-
That was one of the best Ive seen, race was really close right up until the death as well. Didnt meet any 350'ers but then didnt see any other 350s, I doubt youd have missed us if youd passed what with the giant smoke machine, never ending fire and of course the gay disco on Friday night ........

Bizz's LS3 6.2l V8 350Z Drift Car Project - IT CAN DRIFT!! :)
docwra replied to bizz's topic in Member Build Projects
Heh, saw the title of this and thought "another dreamer" but then saw who was posting it and cant wait to see the finish product, Bizz's R33 is legendary and he can pedal it pretty alright as well Driftland watch out I reckon -
I was so looking forward to this season, Rossi back, Marquez involved, CRT bikes being closer to the prototypes ....... and its pretty much the same as previous years, a bit of a procession - the only action I can really remember in the last two races is whether Marquez is going to get past Pedrosa or not. Watched it twice yesterday, fell asleep both times Not made any better by watching The Unrideables last week, a doc about MotoGP in 1989. Why cant it be like that again??
-
So which car is it then? The best looking orange one on here is Busters, the only widearch one is Markys and youre saying its neither of them? Either way the blue thing is still a poor imitation of a decent looking car, that what I was saying. Was the rest of my response right then??

"A £30k car can never be made as good as a £100k one"
docwra replied to wizard's topic in 350Z General
Your right, the main reason is budget and emissions and mpg targets, nothing to do with the performance they can or cant extract from any given engine. Theres also longevity/reliability - a drag engine can produce thousands of horsepower but needs to be rebuilt after each pass, a decent race spec SR20 will need a rebuilt every 10K as well, thats not practical for a roadcar -
Small world, my business partner Ian Thompson is doing it this weekend too. Big east London bloke, massive head, laughs at his own jokes, you cant miss him Good luck to all of you, ID donate but Ive weighed in pretty heavily with him already

"A £30k car can never be made as good as a £100k one"
docwra replied to wizard's topic in 350Z General
I think youre missing two vital points - regardless of how much money you spend on your 350Z, its still a 350Z - we might love them but give the girl in accounts youve been after for ages the choice between that and an R8 V10, for instance and you wont see which way she went. Come to sell your 100K 350Z and youll be looking at not a lot more than normal 350Z prices as well. Sure, as a driving enthusiast you can tweak, tune and upgrade to your hearts content but whatever you do will be compromising something else and probably making the car less attractive as a buy to Joe average, you are also never going to replicate the quality, image, reputation and overall harmony of a 100K list motor. I was in a Rolls Royce garage the other day, and asked the guy if modern Rolls were actually that much better than an S-Class or a big BMW 7 - obviously they were back in the 80's but everything has caught up now. He said that while dynamically and build quality wise there probably isnt a lot in it, but the design, materials and integration in the Rolls is why people still buy them
