Put it this way, Ive got a MK3 MR2 (140hp), a GTI-6 (167hp), a 350Z (300ish hp) and an all singing and dancing 400hp 200SX track car (or I did, thanks concrete wall ) Notice the order - it looks like a list thats increasing in terms of power and performance but its actually in correct order as far as sheer driving pleasure goes, particularly on the road rather than the track, at a recent day at Anglsey the MR2 was miles more fun than the Zed was simply because you had to work harder at it
-
Have you driven one? Its not just about paper figures ...... as this thread demonstrates excellently
-
Yep. A young lady friend was telling me in the pub the other day how she really wanted an MR2, but wouldnt buy one because my missus has one. I asked her what would happen if she fell out with Tasha and didnt see her again and she wasnt really sure what to answer

2 things fom this page: RX7's are not common by any means. I also have a P38 Range Rover and while its not broken too badly yet, 15mpg has to be taken into consideration. Still love it though

Before I type anything, I want to make it clear this isnt a personal attack on you by any means but some of what youve said here I find quite interesting .......... be interested in what others think too Does that not just suggest that they are good, if not better cars than the 370 though? The path less travelled is generally that way for a reason, OK, theres obviously some brand snobbery going on but it cant just be that. If you lived near a GTR dealer (like me) and saw GTR's every day (like I do) would that really put you off them?? Does a 370 stand out from the crowd or does it look like an updated 350Z, which bears more than a passing resemblance to a 911 or a TT though? If you really want to stand out from the crowd, you buy a TVR, or a Maserati, or a Corvette, not a Nissan, no? I dunno, I personally think the M3 and S5 stand out from the rest of the commuter mob quite nicely, but even if you dont agree there are at least 5/6 posts talking about modifying, stick a sweet set of rims on an M3 or S5 and youve got a unique car - these old girls wouldnt blend into a crowd, for instance:

Its not wrong, its just that someone spending getting on for £2K in cams and forged internals plus fitting costs for a 10hp gain is an unusual one, fitting cams without pulleys or management is not the path most trodden either. Id put money on the fact it was remapped while at Abbey too, you should include that in the advert Id be interested to see the graphs though, I think they would definitely help you toward a sale if they showed a decent gain before and after -
Aye, I test drove on about a month ago and was really impressed, it was pretty quick and handled nicely too. Unfortunately I went and drove a 1M the day afterwards though ........... Of the three youve mentioned the M3 takes some beating, the S5 is nice but if it handles like other Audis (and Ive heard it does) then steer clear, much as I hate agreeing with Ekona Id be speaking to the gentlemen at Porsche about a Cayman On the 4 seat tip, if you can take the fuel cost the C63 AMG is a great car, if youre feeling old the XFR is even better but Id take a Lexus IS-F over everything else Ive mentioned in this post. Bar the 1M that I started saving for about 5 minutes after I finished driving it EDIT: And one of my best mates has an Exige, unless youre a track demon (he isnt ) then its pretty compromised for a £25K road car IMO.

Youre thinking of Bosokuzu, they like a "different" exhaust design ........
-
But Bentley are part of VAG ........ and if they are Bentley wheels why not? Its hardly putting a GTR badge on a 350Z or an M bade on a 316i
-
That looks awesome .......... but get rid of the BMW logo's eh?? New 350ZOC reference for "correct fitment" right here

The price might be a little on the high side but Im thinking people want a bit more info about the rebuild - sticking 264 cams and race pistons in seems strange when you dont have management or forced induction, same with the gearbox overhaul. Maybe if you can post evidence of these things and what effect they have had on the car you might have more luck, it looks like its been looked after pretty nicely anyway -
Insurance companies have been charging more for safety devices like brakes and harnesses for years which is counter intuitive, but its worse now as 95% of the market just heads to a comparison site and does it from there. If you fall in the other 5% then life is difficult as there arent any brokers to make common sense decisions anymore and you get stuff like this. Its all done on statistics rather than common sense nowadays so if you have bad statistics you may find it difficult

Try again ....... I used to be able to drift a small roundabout near me (private land of course) at about 2500 rpm when it was wet and my tyres were shagged in the Z33
-
You looked into a Nismo GT Pro? My S13 one came with its own shafts, youd have a job killing them I reckon .......... Aye, if you watch the vid below you can see me sliding the missus MR2 about at Anglesey (look at 2:27, 4:00) - it doesnt have the power to break traction so you have to use weight shift and lift off oversteer to get it sideways - if you dab the brakes its will have a similar effect but it slows you down, and who wants to slow down?? A standard 350Z has the power to light up the rears in anything up to 3rd but I often find myself using shiftlock (popping the clutch out on a downshift) to initiate, particularly now Ive got stupid rear tyres, which is a similar principle to lift off. Once you have broken traction its just a case of balancing grip with throttle, easy Driving sideways is a lot more about speed, weight and balance than outright power, full throttle is only for when the car is already in a drift TBH.
-
Not done it on the zed as the standard one is pretty good for what it is, but would definitely consider it if I had some money to drop. Have had 1.5/2 ways on other cars previously and the difference on track is very noticable, the difference when drifting is even more but Id have to lose the 285/19's on the rear if I went in that direction I probably wouldnt advise a welder unless you are looking at lots of drifting, as I say, the standard viscous locks up pretty well anyway
-
The 320 is nice, the 335 is better, the M3 is the daddy. Id be looking at one of the top two myself but depends on what youre after I guess
-
Yep, they are superb cars, I personally find they feel a bit more "grown up" than a 350 but I wouldnt say no to one. Up there with a shout as best car in the world, great value, 4 seats, fast, reliable, Id have a manual though.

Jealous much ........ were you able to see how sideways Marquez was? Hes a machine. He's got nothing on Casey Stoner For pure sideways nothing touches Anthony Gobert IMO, Stoner liked to hang it out but wasnt doing it over kerbs, making his own lines up with his elbow down either. I honestly think Marquez has the potential to be the best ever, dont forget its still only his first season and he still cant drink in the USA yet .......... These are cool if you havent seen them though, Valencia 2012 and Japan 2012 - these are control bikes so its all down to the rider: http://youtu.be/3k6llrYTfTw http://youtu.be/rrGVGrh9e1E

OH, ITS A JOKE!! Thats alright then, I suppose thats why you were asking if you could get away with it in the first post. I dont despise it, just think youve made a nice car look a bit @*!#, but I guess I dont have to drive it so thats all good

Ah so you have the same graphic? Ahhh, touche Hoonigan though? Really? Nothing against graphics buts thats up there with the old Max Power "One in the pink etc.", unless this is very clever irony its a thumbs down from me

Depends. If youre an absolute tool in real life then go for it, if not, or at least you dont want people to think you are, Id be out there with a hairdryer like yesterday

Good choice, it happens more than you might think and as I always say, by the time youve got a problem its too late On the upside busted alloy nuts are a shedload easier to remove than bust steel ones though
