Was it really AVB's decision when hes got a whole medical team and an independent doctor there though?
-
$250K though? Thats A LOT - I saw this on FB yesterday and thought it was expensive, maybe not ............ https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.247715342042617.1073741855.100575096756643&type=1 Facebook link BTW

Looks like a cracker, and dont be too put off by the Clio, Ive had many an epic battle with a mate with a 182 Cup going past all sorts of exotica - unfortunately a lot of the time when Im chasing we have to switch places as "bigger" cars wont let him past but dont seem to mind with the Zed so much Id have to agree the zed has a pretty poor stance, but Id also say that getting wheels that actually fit is 1000% better solution to this than spacers - putting ridiculous wheels on my car (10J front, 11.5J rear) not only makes it look btter but has increased the grip considerably .......... meaning I can kill Clios as well as DB9's

Not tried BC's but heard good things, got HSD's and cant believe how good they are and I must have had 8/10 sets on various cars, Id definitely recommend them
-
Dude, I take it youve not seen this: Thats not ruined, thats using a supercharged Z33 as nature intended. For me, that knocks spending hours detailing the car only for it to get dirty after 5 minutes on the road right into a trilby laid on a slight angle

LOLZ, £4K without shift pressed
-
Willtheyfit doesnt have camber included and doesnt take into account individual wheel designs/disk types (which is pretty impossible anyway TBF). Rimtuck is actual setups on actual cars, its probably a little more confidence inspiring if youre about to bang out 34K on some new rims
-
That was Nicad7 and they are GTR-D's The Zed has a tendency to add camber as its lowered, camber arms arent cheap either www.rimtuck.com is where you need to get yourself to.

Its inspiration mate, my MS Paint skills arent up to actual designs ..........

I thought youd say that about the Skyline ......... the red JGTC 350Z springs to mind when you say racecar, the KSport demo car is pretty cool as well

JDM Bogging down/loosing all power under acceleration
docwra replied to Dave-350's topic in JDM imports
Theres a known issue with issues between the throttle pedal position sensor and the throttle sensor in the engine bay, Ive had it a few times where you immediately lose all control of the throttle and it slowly winds back down to about 2K rpm - turning the car on and off fixes it though (Ive actually done this at over 90mph on a racetrack before) See what the diagnostic turns up but it sounds like you might have the same problem but worse, shouldnt be too expensive to fix though -
Pretty much any coilover will drop to the point where you are layin frame, Id also recommend the HSDs as well
-
Thought about white on white at all? Like this: would work well with the Grids, less so with the MXR's I think - other colours Ive been liking recently are Phils GT3RS (baby blue colour) and the burnt orange on the 1M - you could always do Gulf colours if you fancied it? Regardless of what you do, you need to get a Matt Campling style giant window Sticker

JDM Bogging down/loosing all power under acceleration
docwra replied to Dave-350's topic in JDM imports
More info required - will it rev or does it reach a ceiling, when you say no power does the car start slowing down, is it only on full throttle or part throttle too, is it all the time or just sometimes, does turning car off and starting it again make any difference? My immediate thought it that the throttle position sensor is out of calibration, as Dblock says its worth doing the pedal dance and finding out if its throwing up any codes though -
As the chairman of SXOC Ive written a couple of letters supporting a valuation of a 200, perhaps you might ask the good staff here at 350ZUK if they would do the same?
-
Autobahns are public roads though, right?
-
Im sure Ive seen over 260 km/h on mine (265 IIRC), but then it is jap spec, might be different.

350z-uk sponsors Ian "Bizz" Phillips for the 2014 Drift season
docwra replied to Lexx's topic in Motorsport & Track Days
Fantastic, Bizz was one of the best drivers to watch in the R33, cant wait to see him in the Zed Good work by all involved, who's running the Extreme Torque championship though? -
I dunno, 600hp, rolling start, I can see that the R8 would be in with a shout - bear in mind he can also brake and corner considerably faster and with more confidence as well ..........

They are (or were at least) on Sky Player somewhere, you forget how good they were. If anyone stumbles across Mary Whitehouse experience let me know too

Is it a easy swop to put a hr engine in a de ?
docwra replied to Briggsybriggs1's topic in 350Z General
Aye, it sounds a bit like the old Halfords MoT where they discover your car is a rolling deathtrap that can only be fixed by them ............ good luck though, keep us informed -
Youre entitled to your opinion but I think thats a ridiculous statement personally, lots of cars manage just fine with more power, less weight and no TC at all. You may as well fit a 70 mph speed limiter and halve the throttle pedal travel ........... or just buy a Juke or something in the first place. The TCS system is clunky, outdated and intrusive and for an advanced driver does more harm than good as its not predictable enough and totally hamfisted when it cuts in. Sure, for someone who is new to RWD or not confident in their ability then its great, but I dont remember the last time I got into the car without turning it off.
-
Biggest difference is no overtaking without being invited with cars, I know on bike days the guy behind is responsible for the guy in front which would lead to utter carnage on a car day Probably not quite as exhilarating but not having the constant fear of death can be nice sometimes

Hah, I was going to mention that, for anyone that hasnt been on track with Dan he certainly falls into the "more than capable" category of driver from what Ive seen, this sounds like one of those incidents that were probably down to a combination of things, @*!# happens sometimes. Even as a decent drifter there are slides and incidents you cant get yourself back out of, one that sticks particularly in my mind was sliding my Z into a ditch at relatively low speed - I initially thought I had it under control but some rather suspect rear tyres (my fault entirely) put paid to that, Dan's story sounds rather familiar so I wonder if the road surface had more to do with it than you did ......... Id add that it probably took me 4 years of drifting experience before I naturally started compensating for unexpected slides using the throttle, its not something that comes overnight by any means and even now actually feels weird to find myself doing it, the only bit of advice Id throw out there is that getting the clutch in and the car straight followed by the brakes gives you more control, but if you dont have the time you dont have the time ......... I can tell you from experience your confidence will come back gradually, and you will become a better driver for it - my last "off" was directly into a wall at about 40mph, the one before that was armco at about 70, both knocked me for a bit but it comes back quicker than youd think - it sounds like you were just unlucky to me and that can happen to the best of us
