I went to Nurburgring the day after and Donington last week too Switching off VDC is as easy as pulling the three plugs next to the brake fluid reservoir but beware, it turns off ABS as well

Touchy much? Do you work for Honda's marketing department or something? Sorry to point out the bleeding obvious, but since the EK CTR's havent been much more than sporty family cars, where the last 3 generations of sporty Meganes have been awesome track cars, but suddenly thats all going to change with the even heavier 5 door version? You keep wearing your Honda tinted specs but if you ever fancy a frame of reference, take a sorted RS Megane out on a track and recognise just how incredibly good they are. If Honda get anywhere near that they will have done well, but I cant see them beating it first time out, no way.

Is a 300zx a whole lotta car for not alot of money ?

Some really good info on this thread, particularly Z32bolts last post, but Ive got to pick out ......... -
One thing I would say is that once it starts sliding, the weight loves to keep it going. I was at Spa the other day in the wet and pretty much every time I was going round Bruxelles (slightly downhill RH hairpin) Id turn in, the back would come round and stay right on the lockstops until the exit. This was with no power at all, at one point I actually lifted my right foot up to show my passenger :lol

Absolutely bang slap spot on. The Megane RS is something else, an incredibly fast and capable car thats going to take some beating ........ but bear in mind its a development of about 4 previous generations of hardcore FWD's, the last one having plastic windows and a rollcage. For me Honda havent come close to the French hot hatches since the EK, and with that history I really cant see a 5 door family car coming close to the Megane no matter what you do, short of making it full BTCC spec or something

Curious to what people do as a job in relation to having a zed

I own a recruitment company specialising in supplying technicians to the aviation and composite production industries - we fix aeroplanes and build racing cars Also got a couple of other sidelines, one of which Im hoping will be very successful and used by everyone on this forum at some point -
What an excellent choice After doing another 4 tyres at Donington in the Zed Im seriously considering another track weapon, she wont let me use her one for some reason so I might be joining you before too long. Want me to show you how to drift it??
-
Probably not, I was actually going to post a similar thing - mate of mine (not the sharpest tool in the box, admittedly) drove to the pub, parked car outside, had more pints than expected. Leaves pub, goes to car to get his coat, gets it out, shuts door, police turn up and nick him for being in control, he hadnt even sat in it. Ridiculous.
-
Having done multiple laps of small roundabouts at 2.5K in the wet, I beg to differ My tyres were cheap and worn though, you shouldnt have any problem with anything halfway decent and a slightly lighter right foot
-
Rims are nice but theres not a lot of call for 20's either. And youd need to get it from Ireland and re-register it, probably priced about right
-
Sorry, the impression I got was that they were already fitted. Im guessing youve run them before, how long did you actually leave them on the car for out of interest? Couple months? Less?
-
Torso then, I felt my point would be better made that way

Go back and read first post - in conditions where the temp is 10 degrees the winter tyre will not be as effective as a summer tyre. They are fantastic for when winter properly gets here but before weve even had a frost is a bit early TBH.

Can I play? Recent favourite was two lorries doing the snail race thing on the A14, totally ignoring the ambulance with its blues and twos on weaving about behind them for about 5 miles trying to get seen (and get past) while all the car drivers struggled to believe what they were seeing. I think I actually got my whole body out of the window to tell them what I thought as I went past.
-
You both sound like kids TBH. Cracking ride from both yesterday, I dont think Ive ever seen anyone hold a bike race up from the front, Lorenzo has regained his "something else" status for me. Next year is going to be awesome, lets hope we see more of the first 10 laps and less of the rest
-
Put something up about how much better it is than an S14 in a couple of weeks and Ill link it back to SXOC and watch Pimans head explode
-
Alright Dare, another one moving into the light I see
-
Thats been a problem for years though coldel, too many "Grandfather Rights" - I personally think it started with John Barnes after that goal agaionst Brazil. Weve also suffered from eternal underachievers, great for club, shyte for country - most seem to have played for Liverpool as well (McManaman, Fowler et al)
-
Actually I dont, fair comment, but Im much more likely to just sit and watch a random game as I think its a lot more entertaining than it used to be.
-
Was watching him on telly this morning - he has been the numbr 1 rider for 953 consecutive weeks or something, 18 years at the top
-
Ahhh, whatever, I still think that the overall standard of player in the Prem is better than anywhere and the games are much better to watch, I also dont think Man U and Arsenal have dominated it anything like Barca and Real have but Im sure you will disagree. Sure, Valencia, Sociedad, Atletico etc. are good teams, but they arent making Champions League quarter finals every year are they? The Bundesliga is the only other league to rival it IMO.
-
Thats kind of the point though, if you want to return to grinding out games on bogs then thats all well and good, but if youre telling me that Devonshire and Brady could hold a candle to Ozil, Mata or Suarez then keep your rose tints by all means It sounds like youre old enough to remember the difference between the "British" style and the "European" style of football, come on man, which would you rather sit for 90 minutes and watch? 4 nominations out of 20 is a fifth which isnt bad, its not like we are the only country that plays football in the world ......... and how many of the nominees have played in the Prem at one time or another, half? So which league does have the best players then? I think the Prem is in with as much of a shout as anyone, and the competitiveness and standard is second to none - there are only two teams in Spain (funnily enough the two with the biggest chequebooks in Europe) end every other league has no more than 4/5 teams that might win it and 16 runners up every year. You cant deny UK teams success in the Champions League, but I guess we just have 4 lucky teams every year, and we have less diving, and more competitive football than anywhere else - watch a Serie A game between two midtable teams and tell me you wouldnt rather have been watching any Premiership game instead. I notice as well you havent mentioned the hooliganism, racism or the worldwide viewing audience, you cant just ignore stuff like that if youre trying to make a case against the Prem.
-
I think you need to change the lenses in your specs mate - UK Football from the mid 70's pretty much until the Sky era was as boring as shyte, playing the long ball incessantly and with very little flair or skill being shown anywhere. Black players would get pelted with bananas and the crowd was full of hooligans, I know my old man never took me to a match for this exact reason. Whenever we played anywhere outside of the UK at club or national level we'd either get played right off the pitch or end up grinding a victory out, it was a snoozefest. Youve now got whats generally known as the best league in the world, with the best players from round the world, flair and skill all over the place, next to no hooliganism, less racism than anywhere else in the world, more success in Champions League than any other country and more people watching the Prem than any other league. The stuff you talk about (diving, racism, bad examples for kids, hooliganism) are not only present everywhere in the world, they are a damn sight worse than they are here.

Porches are actually the bit over your front door mate. Regardless of that anyone who seriously compares Nissan with Porsche and comes out thinking Nissan is better needs their head examined
-
Eh? The guy got kneed in the head, in the last month alone Ive seen two League players get hit/kneed, be out cold, then get up and play the rest of the match. Boxing may involve gloves and protecting yourself but its 36 minutes of being constantly hit in the head, theres not really a parallel there ........... Fair play to Loris IMO, no doubt all goalies will now have to wear crash helmets next season though.
