  1. Only in hire cars and not to prolong the life of the gearbox
  2. Now thats a different question entirely Both would need archwork but could be done
  3. Right, so what benefits does a UK GT owner have over my JDM GT? Other than that he paid more? Great. The JDM S2000 has more power than the UK version, that has about as much to do with the Z33 as an 18 year old Scoob does.
  4. 19's look better but cost more, simple
  5. Aye, dont confuse the totally pointless double declutch with the rather useful heel and toe
  6. Funny that because 50's are the ones you normally get most grief about from shops/pubs etc. Let see if this works ..... it didnt, follow the link http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/banknotes/pages/about/counterfeits.aspx but theres about 4 times more fake 20's than 50's out there Counterfeits in my experience are nearly always £20's or £1's like Rich says, and once youve had some they arent that difficult to spot either
  7. Just out of interest, Why's a bankers draft more 'fakeable' than cash? Either way I'd expect to visit a bank before tossing them the keys. If you visit a bank then sure, they should know what they are looking at but they cant confirm that the money is actually there to draw, its more risky than cash is
  8. Disagree, I sometimes H+T but when Im REALLY going for it I revert back to 1 foot on each, gives me more control over braking and I dont find it slows me down any. Also not found LFB much use other than when drifting but that might be a style thing I guess.
  9. Bankers drafts are a big no, would you be able to tell if it was forged or had been drawn without funds being present? Another thing to consider is that the buyer may have to justify the cash - when my brother recently took cash for his Evo 8 the bank wanted to know the cars numberplate before they would let him deposit it ..........
  10. Hmmm, if they are Gnosis then they have had the barrels replaced - very nice but theres a lot more BBS LM-alikes you can look at for less money too
  11. Having driven a pretty heavily modified S2K round Spa recently, Id take the VQ over the F20C every single day of the week, the 2K just felt gutless ........... and it didnt sound a patch on my Zed either
  12. Social media is great, and its everywhere but I think youre missing two main points Husky ........... gossip, texting and letter are only viewable to one person and can be destroyed or forgotten, they arent a permanent record for the entire world and regardless, its WORK, not paramedics, not photo albums but something you get paid for following their rules. In this case it seems a little OTT, but at the end of the day stealing 20p out of the till is the same as £20, its still stealing
  13. Hmmm, sounds like they wanted to get rid and are using this as an excuse to some extent, if they have a media policy that is that clear then she doesnt have a leg to stand on. harsh, but unfortunately thats the way it goes sometimes. First question to ask is always "has she been there a year" coz if not they can do what they want
  14. Fair enough Aidan, thats pretty balanced TBF, sorry if I sound like some kind of argumentative arsehole I personally found that the handling feedback and predictability on the Z is better than the R33 GTR but TBF I havent owned one, only driven a few, I also dont think a GTST holds a candle to it as standard but again Ive only driven one or two, I just find the Z to be more involving and rewarding. Ive had a similar argument with certain people on the SXOC about 350Z vs S14, some of it comes down to taste but they both (S14 and R33) feel a bit outdated when up against a 350Z for me
  15. Emm . No. Your wrong. Yes the are old, but Z does most things better?? A decent R33 GTR (not a gts) is a great car - cannot be compared to a Z (as it shouldn't with difference in prices from new). I take it youve driven an R33 GTR then have you? Youd know that the handing and ride arent up to the same standard as a Z33, that as standard they arent much quicker, that the interior looks pretty dated, that they arent as good as a 350Z on reliability and that they are generally old cars now ......... but still cost twice what a 350Z does. Dont get me wrong, they were great cars in their day (although I still far prefer 32's and 34's) but they are 20 years old now, the difference in GTST and GTR prices is a fair indicator that you are paying for the bade to some extent.
  16. R33's are good value ......... but they are a bit old now TBH, I think youd probably find the Zed does most things better
  17. Ye right bet there wont be one who will reply, and give any reason why.. :scare: Seems you lost that bet twice then
  18. Obviously slower .......... wouldnt say that, very slightly slower but no more than that. Dont know why youd buy one and immediately want more power either, they are quick enough to start with IMO
  19. Errr, yeah. It is the same car but was cheaper. /justification Surely you only need to justify spending more money, rather than less?
  20. Ive been doing quite a few trackdays with a group of others recently and a couple of the lads have 182 Cups, you'd be amazed how close a well driven one is to a Z33 in pace over a lap. Only problem theyve been having is that GT3's and the like wont let Clios past, I have to take the lead and they follow me through Up there with MX5 as trackday bargain, you wont be disappointed
  21. I actually prefer the cloth seats as well, better in extreme temperatures and dont wear at all, the leather ones can look a bit tired after a few years of arses
  22. Helpful Yes it can but youd need to check the limit of the gearbox/torque converter ........ in fact http://www.gtmotorsports.com/product.php?productid=17263&cat=0&page=1 do a kit, seems you need a new valvebody and a trans fluid cooler, not that pricey by the looks of it
  23. http://6thgearexperience.com/Supercar-Treble - choose 3 between Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari 360, Audi R8, Ariel Atom, Porsche 997 Turbo or Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Not done it myself but have a mate looking at doing it soon

    Drifting

It will spin up in first but wont do burnouts, some kind of link between the brake and the throttle thats massively gay. TBF, doing anything in first gear is massively gay anyway though I remember when we broke the world record for most cars doing donuts at once, 30 of the UK's more talented drifters all lined up ready to go, then someone says "I dont know if I can remember how to do a donut ......" - instead of ridiculing him, we all suddenly realised no-one had done any for ages as 1st gear circles arent really that exciting when youre used to 3/4th gear on the lockstops As it turned out we were OK, but 1st gear is for girls mmmmkay?
