I still think youve got a problem man, I run about 2 degrees on my rears and they are never that bad (they get quite a lot of abuse as well) Found similar wear on the front of mine just before I went to Spa, turned out to be one of the bushes on the lower arm was shot, worth a check

I hate the weight of the car, if it was 300KG lighter it would have been a real weapon and I doubt Id be selling it. The handbrake is rubbish too and the parts, particularly lights, are far too bloody expensive.
-
LOL TBH Ive been thinking about putting a proper F/S thread up anyway, Ill try and do something later today - its off getting a few stone chips fixed and the bumper repaired, will be better than ever when it comes back
-
Sweet Jesus, Ive just noticed the price, do you think thats a fair number?
-
They arent a problem, the wing mirrors still stick out further. Unlike my rear arches If anyone wants a custom widearch made from actual metal my car will be up for sale in a week or two, watch this space
-
Then you both want to give me a shout then BTW, brake lights still work fine with systems turned off
-
Had 200SX's before and it was a lot cheaper than Boxsters etc. so was a pretty natural choice for me "Dream" cars come from Italy and are usually Red IMO
-
So what have you used on the Zed then? Last count Ive had NS2, T1S, Pirelli Zero Rosso, RE040, T1R, FK453, FK452, Vredestein, RE050 and MPSS on mine and thats not a random order BTW

I own www.exceltechnicalconsulting.com, if youre a composite man or work with aeroplanes then give me a shout

Weirdly I found this on 15mm spacers with Rays, I took them straight back off as I had the same probs that zabba did. Using 25mm spacers with stupid big wheels like I do now it handles better that it ever used to, whats that all about?

Thats what Im getting at, they werent limited number or anything but are worth an arm and a leg now. If it was just down to the rest all rotting away then youd be paying the same money for a Nova SR or a Corolla GT, the Fords touched people in a way that other cars didnt and this is why they are getting ridiculous prices these days. Another good example is AE86 Corollas, Ive seen a page out of Autotrader where none were more than £1000, you cant get a clean one for less than £7K these days. There were loads, they were cheap but theres something else about them that makes them desirable nowadays.

Except it doesnt The easiest way to disconnect ABS, TC and VDC is to pull the two plugs on the inside wing by the brake fluid reservoir, and plug em back in when youre done. You will see SLIP, handbrake and TC lights come up on the dash and the car is then all yours For donuts pushing the button and turning TC off is fine, If youre track driving IMO the VDC on the front wheels can be intrusive, even dangerous and if youve ever been backwards in an ABS car yopull know why you dont want it on for drifting ............

Super unleaded is 97+ RON, LPG is 100 - 106 RON. Nothing to worry about, in fact the FI guys could potentially run higher boost before getting detonation
-
What else have you tried on the Zed to be able to make a statement like that? Ive just had a count up and Ive used 9 but I wouldnt like to make an ultimate statement of whats best ..............
-
By the sounds of that you can have LPG or petrol and not both ............ even living right by an LPG station I wouldnt want to take that risk
-
The newer Nankangs are NS2R which is a more track focused tyre, also a lot more money - the standard NS2 is OK but a bit worrying in the wet. Ive used Avons and Kumhos and will take the Kumho every time, the M3 guys like them too which is always a good indicator
-
They arent Rotas, they look like a half arsed Gram Light copy to me. Im pretty sure you can buy centrecaps on ebay as well, just measure up and see how you get on
-
Dont necessarily agree TBH, have found stuff thats good on FWD (i.e. Parada 2) to be rather less good on RWD and vice versa (FK452), Ive also found that theres been less "you get what you pay for" but that could just be because they are cheaper in the first place. Im running Michelin PE2's on my GTI-6 and for an all rounder they are awesome, they are also a sight less expensive than youd think. My brother has Eagle F1 on his St and I rate them as well

Bad one man
-
Were you on it? a mate of mine went with Bentley, Ive been planning a slow death for him ever since.
-
Sorry man, was just trying to highlight why they are more expensive to start with, Id definitely get in one and see what you think EDIT: All valid points JetSet but we arent talking about buying new, are we? A Saph Cossie (that everyone knew they would become "classics") that was £5K 10 years ago can go for £35K now (I know, Ive just seen it happen) which puts your house into perspective

What are you on about? Lets take some examples of BMW M cars value today, you know, the ones Im saying are collectors items: CSL: 1300 produced in 1972 - current value £40K+ M635CSi: 8000 produced 1988/89 - current value £20K+ E30 M3 - 16000 produced in 85-92 - current value £15K+ E46 CSL: 1400 produced in 2004, current value £25K+ 1M: 6300 produced in 2011, current value £33K+ These are bottom end prices for the above cars and they are all getting more expensive all the time. The bottom end for a 240Z is about £6K, they are sought after but more because they are all old and have gone rotten than what they were in the first place, you could pick them up for buttons 10/12 years ago. To illustrate the point, forget BMW's and look at the price of old Ford's these days - not Mexico's or RS2000's but stuff like Saph Cossies, XR3Is and S2 RS Turbos. thees were always destined to become collectors cars regardless of how many were made, IMO until there are very few of them left the 350Z is not going to be the same.

C'mon, "Running one" does not mean living next door to someone who had one, does it? Theres been a few examples recently of people wanting to post so badly they actually ignore what the thread is about, the MR2/Celica was a classic where only about 20% of posters actually had one and I seem to remember there was some pretty shocking advice over the guy with the welded crank as well. Sorry for pointing it out but it does my head in, what could be a useful gem of information gets lost in loads of "but Ive heard" crap. Rather like it did here in fact He did. Can I say "Jeez" now?

Thanks and all that but he actually asked: his next post was: Note the use of word "run" in the first quote' date=' this would suggest he is looking for firsthand experience, not what you imagine the suspension might be like, for instance. In the second quote he is referring to the fact the Z4M is more expensive to buy, I was pointing out that they are not really comparable on a like for like as one is considerably rarer and more likely to become a collectors car. In fact, those were pretty much exactly my words: Bodyboarder - theres a few that have driven both, and a guy thats got a Z4 3.0 atm
