  1. TBF the Alfa V6 dates back to 1979 man, and the R32 has 5 seats and a nice big boot. And the Alfa sounds better
  2. Engine or exhaust sound? I posted that clip as you can hear both, the engine sounds amazing IMO.
  3. I dont see that as a massive bargain TBH, Z4's, R32's, S3's and 335's etc all seem to be getting similar money for a similar age and they are all a lot more mainstream. A 350Z for under £5K is crazy cheap though, still cant get over that. And Ferraris depreciate quicker than 370's do, a 08 612 Scaglietti can be had for 35% of what it originally cost and even an 08 F430 has lost 60%, the 370 is still retaining 50% or so. The best deals are on huge petrol luxury cars, Range Rovers, 750's and the like, its very tempting to pick up a 5 year old 100+K car for 30% or less of its original price.
  4. :scare: Wash your mouth out young man. :scare:
  5. M235i is markedly better than the M135i, particualrly with auto box and adaptive suspension, tell him he definitely needs to try one. Id be interested to see hiow he gets on with the A45 as well
  6. They get like £2K a match mate which they used to donate to charity anyway - even £2.5m for 22 players is £55m which is rather a lot dont you think? Roy gets £3.5m a year, which for a top level manager isnt an incredible amount by any means either. Other than that, great post

    ECU Upgrade

That would be my advice. Some cars (mainly turbos) can respond incredibly to a programmable ECU and a bit of mapping, my brothers Evo saw over 50hp for under an hours work and you only have to look at the diesel gains to see how worthwhile it can be ............ ........... but the 350Z is neither turbo or diesel and as such the available gains are relatively limited before you have to start changing hardware, and that rapidly becomes expensive. Get the upRev, make the most of what youve got and if youre still power hungry then sell a kidney or something

Theres something about fools IIRC as well though Dan .......... SYVECS on anything without FI would be a waste of cash IMO.

    ECU Upgrade

There are two reasons for getting new management - you want it or you need it. If you have a fairly standard car then its a case of want it - the solution favoured by most is to buy UpRev which is Nissan specific engine management. Depending on your engine and mods you will probably see between 10 and 20hp and similar torque increases but more drivability and response, its a good thing. Cost is £400 including mapping which is pretty decent TBF, Ill get round to it if I dont sell the car first. If you need it because youve got a lairy car running a turbocharged engine swap then you need to be looking for something a little less generic and a bit more in depth, this is where the £1000 purchase and £500+ mapping costs come in but it will optimise what your engine can do - my last driftcar was overbored, with a huge turbo, injectors that were 300% bigger than normal, cams etc. etc. and it was the only option. On a standard Zed it would only see you the same gains as upRev but for a lot more money ........ Best bet is to mod the car as you plan to, then get upRev from Jez @ Horsham or Abbey to make the most of your modifications. If youre still hungry for power after that, this is when it starts getting expensive
  10. Pah. Action starts about 1:00, Im in the convertible Silvia that gets the money shot at 1:40.
  11. Ive long said a VQ35 in an S13 would be a superb combination, 1100KG and 310ish HP is what the Zed always should have been.
  12. The insurance company will usually take between 10 and 20% of write off value if you want to buy it back, if you assume a payout of £5500 then thats £1100 ....... the headlights and rear lights alone will probably see you that back. Depending on how bad it is it might be worth considering a repair, if you get the above then you have a good few grand to play with
  13. Last count we have had 3 (might be 4 actually) 200SX's written off after impact with badgers, alive or dead it seems they are equally a menace.
  14. Sneaky American idea by the developers of Up-Rev remapping software, the software can be bought by anyone either private or professional, but each map thatscreated via the software has to have a license Not sneaky americans, its the way everyone does it man
  15. Clint Dempsey is pretty decent TBF, but Ghana and Portugal (on current form) arent Italy and Uruguay, not by a long shot. And Venebles face not fitting was not the reason he got sacked, more to do with his illegal activities ......... We havent played terribly by any means, we just didnt play well enough to beat Italy and Suarez got lucky twice against Uruguay.
  16. I dont want to cause ructions or anything but for me the 370 already feels a little dated when compared to the new Cayman, M235i and I cant imagine the Stang is going to be a bleeding edge driving experience either ........... Id therefore probably have a 500hp Supra and change but if pushed the 370 every day of the week, as well as the obvious dynamic issues US interiors tend to be pretty dire and its going to drink fuel like its going out of fashion.
  17. The car is designed to run a stagger front to back, you should stick to it for best results.
  18. Sunday Times DAILY? Really? Agree with coldel re: that article, a lot of payers get better and better in the Premiership, the most expensive player int he world wasnt getting a start for Portsmouth not that long ago ....... Likewise, if Suarez, Ven Persie and Aguerro can develop in the Premiership then theres no reason why the homegrown lads cant either. Sure, Pirlo is a master of the game but not every team has a Pirlo, England being one of them
  19. Difficult to argue with if you need Derv, the E60 535d is an awesome car too.
  20. Im pretty sure the current Nissan diesel engines had more to do with Renault that Nissan ......... so yeah, they are even doing it today. This is quite aside from the fact that the F1 World Championship winning engine has been by Renault for the last 4 years and Citroen have won WRC for the 9 of the last 10 years ..... Id say Johnny Frog knows what hes doing
  21. The Audis dont handle anything like as well as everything else mentioned. Look nice though, has to be said
  22. If you get there really, REALLY early you can stick your name down for a drive up the hill in a car of your choice. Ferrari La Ferrari? Dont mind If I do thanks.
  23. TBF they are a bit more boy racery type cars though, the drivers are likely to be a bit more like that to start with. There are some excellent, level headed forums out there (SXOC and GTI6 Owners are two I can think of) but they often tend to have been around longer, as members mature then you get exactly what someone else said, any dickery gets dealt with early on. It fascinates me how much this place is developing like SXOC did (started in year 2000), there are a lot of parallels between where they were when they were about the same age as this place, interestingly facebook hasnt had anything like the effect here as it has there though
