Standard GTS is 130hp mate, I dont think so What drugs are you taking ? Correctness pills
-
When none of the 350Z UK owners club have one, I wouldnt describe that as "enormous".
-
Thiago and Zlatan - combined age 61 years. Luke and Adam - combined age 44 years. I also think British players dont tend to settle so easily outside of the UK, hence why they dont get bought by European clubs so much. Bear in mind too that resale value is going to come into it, a young player could well be worth more in a couple of years so whatever you paid was worthwhile. Rio for £30m sounded a lot at the time but hes done 12 years at the top of the game, thats a bit of a bargain with hindsight. Andy Carroll on the other hand .........

If you kno what the damage was and know that it was fixed properly then I dont see why not, a 350 could be written off with no more than all 4 lights and both bumpers damaged. If its had the roof welded back on thats a bit different but if the damage is only cosmetic, why not?

Linus, if I could like that post 10 times I would I used to be the most staunch anti-FWD bastard out there, the cars listed and a few more have totally changed my view of that ........... and Im a drifter as well. "Fun" is in no way related to anything other than "fun", one of my best mates has an Exige but youll never see him smiling more than when hes caning his £150 1.1 Pug 106 "Zest" around trying to stay within 2mph of its top speed

Looks like a bargain, spelling FAIL of the year I would say

I don't even want to share a planet with him/her/it. Ill supply the rope then, you go ahead and find yourself a nice tree. -
Eh? Was this about your mate or actually about you? Ive driven a LOT of cars over the past 4/5 years and all Im saying is that the M235i is up with the absolute best, and as very few people would have had the opportunity to have a drive of one I think its worth mentioning in a thread like this. Its noticeably improved from the 1 Series (as it should be, the chassis and geometry are different), better than the E92 M3 (feels much more wieldy and handles like it too) and its not that pricey either. The M2 sure is tempting ......... but its still the same body, same engine (albeit remapped), probably same gearbox all with an LSD whacked on it - whatever, if its as much better than the M235 as the M235 is the M135 its going to be something special.

Why? People have different opinions, thats what makes life interesting.
-
Are they "less fun" then? The Clios are a hoot, I cant get the smile off my face when driving one I wont lie, I prefer RWD particularly on track but for sheer smiles the little Frenchies are difficult to beat. MX5's and MR2's are also more fun than a Zed .......... and while that is "my opinion" I cant see how anyone could not agree.

Youre talking about the same thing in the first bit dude, the 3.4 engine in the 996 and the Cayman was susceptible to intermediate shaft failure which was catastrophic, about 5% die from it. The Metzger engines in the Turbot and the GT's didnt have the same issue. Ive personally known two 996 owners need new engines due to bore issues and two need gearbox rebuilds as well, and anything on the engine (rear main seal anyone?) i2 £500 in labour to get to as well. I dont think they are unreliable, but like you say when they go wrong, they go expensive wrong.
-
How about 450nm of torque from 1300rpm and an 8 speed gearbox to make the most of it as well. The suspension is next generation (like the new Cayman) as well, its insane the amount of grip you get alongside good feedback and excellent turn in, things have moved on from just comparing numbers. PDK and the Bimmer box are the first auto's Ive driven that are an noticeable improvement on the manual box even without their intelligence, I dont think anyone will be driving stick in 10 years time TBH.

If he ever goes in an M235 I bet he will be disappointed he didnt try it first ........... Is the A45 ride harsh or just firm? What does it handle like?

As my post says I will be contacting Jez , which I did last night and I'm awaiting a response???!!! He has gone to glatonbury mate, I dont think youll be hearing from him until at least Monday. And I think the point people are trying to make is that its better to speak to him before posting up on here as a courtesy. TBF you arent ranting or anything but it would be good to give him the chance forst IMO Regardless, hes a top bloke and I know will sort you out
-
Literally two posts before yours you have someone talking about preconceptions and how wrong they can be. Drive a sorted Clio 182 Cup, a Megane RS and a GTI-6 and come back and tell me that. The fact you can buy two of those cars for the price of a decent set of tyres for the Zed also says something
-
And if you see someone in a TVR then take their keys immediately, its only a matter of time before they kill themselves!! ;)

I test drove a spanking Nismo 370 the other day and the bloody light didnt go out for more than about 3 seconds, the salesman didnt seem to have an issue with me "pushing too hard". Bear in mind it doesnt step in after you are sideways, it steps in when it thinks you are going to go sideways and its not intelligent enough to do that consistently IMO.

Less experienced driver answer: Its a good thing, particularly in the wet and when its a bit frosty out, it will keep you on the road. Very experienced driver answer: Its clunky, outdated and intrusive on the 350Z and only a little bit better on the 370Z, I personally think its actually dangerous on the track as its so hamfisted. As Ad says, unless youre seeing it light up a lot I wouldnt worry about it, if youre finding its hampering you driving then you might want to consider turning it off.

The R32-34 gtr's were an example of down rating the awesome power they actually had! That was a bit different, the old story was that the japanese had a gentlemans agreement that they would not sell cars that exceeded 280hp, hence the Mk IV Supra, FD RX7, NSX, GTR's, GTO, Evo, 300ZX all being 280hp. The actual reason was that the second class of JGTC, GT300, was limited and all these cars competed in it. The fact that stock RB26DETT's regularly did 320hp @ wheels was overlooked somewhat it seems ..........
-
Im glad you didnt say "that fat" ........... hang on, are you saying Im slow?
-
Theoretical top speed in 6th is about 195 mph I think, if you shortened the final drive so it was hitting the rev limiter at 150 it would accelerate a fair amount quicker. Not much good for GT type antics but for a track or drag car it would be very worthwhile.

Replace "engine" with "weight"

Tarmac Sportz GT86 in Banzai Mag this month
docwra replied to Tarmac@TarmacSportz's topic in Tarmac Sportz
Liking that ....... other than the witness list, 1990 was 24 years ago now Very interested in performance specs, it should have had a supercharger to start with -
And performance otherwise theres millions of 320d and A4's for that money However, theres also a few Z4's, M135i's and the odd 335i, Audi S3's, 3.2 TT's and even an S5 and a few SLK350's ........... theres even a Cayman on PH for £14.5K, all with fairly low miles, all on 08/09 plates and all under 15K. I cant think of anything you can buy that matches up with a 350 for 4K though
