Aye, they are all metal and about 70mm wider than standard, the wheels are ridiculous spec, with the 25mm spacers they are effective 10J ET -42 front and 11.5J ET -15 on the rear. You can see how much wider by where the original front and rear bumpers used to finish up, those vents on the rear were the outside edge to start with If anyone wants to buy it, let me know
  2. Had one hand my arse to me in the 306 the other day, as Ekona says in gear looked pretty impressive I also had a Corsa VXR hand my arse to me in the Zed yesterday but Im not opening that can of worms again

No, kinda considering it but then considering selling it as well so a bit pointless spending money on the rims. Interesting you ask though, have you been speaking to Will@Streetoptions who suggested exactly the same thing?
  4. My old mate Phil Morrison managed to get a V10 M5 lump into an E46 M3 so I dont see why not. Oh, and this:

Oh, and as for not being able to use it ..............
  6. It also doesnt have a roof or windows, its hardly comparable is it?? Im looking at a 4C as a daily, I dont think I could have an R500 for that And servicing for a year is the same as a lifetime on the 4C, never mind if you actually need spares. And bear in mind its a 18 year old Ferrari, its hardly going to be an example of reliability is it?
  7. Where di you get the new wheel lips from dude? Looks like my fitment crown is about to get handed on
  8. If he is then Im not - these were standard OE parts that came from the manufacturer and dont need declaring any more than the interior colour does. However I also disagree with ZMANALEX, anything that is obviously non standard should be mentioned even if it doesnt add power. There was a story a couple of years ago about a guy with a Celica that didnt declare his blow off valve and the insurance company forfeited because if it, its not worth the risk. If in doubt, ask the insurers EDIT: Found this one on Civiclife: Had a car with alloys and a stainless exhaust. Got pulled. Copper asked if mods declared. I said yes, he said he'd check as didn't believe me. Got letter from cis, saying that they had been made aware that my car has mods, and as I didn't meet the criteria they cover for modded cars, my insurance was voided. Received court summance for driving with out insurance. Got found guilty. My punishment. 9month ban 6points £360 fine Woohoo. When I returned, my insurance quote had gone up 5times, and stayed like that till my points vanished. Cost me about 6grand in total for not declaring mods. Now I declare every ****ing mod. They even know I've just changed my gearknob. Lol.
  9. It definitely suffers more than most cars, and Ive known cars used for drifting (usually with locked diffs) break numerous driveshafts. Only seems to affect mine when its in a straight line though, I dont have problems while drifting at all. You might want to check your diff bushes but as with all things, just put your foot down harder and wind on some lock and youll be fine
  10. Used to regularly go past them at 80+ on the M11 in the morning, everyone else did so why not However, was caught in a quandary while driving on Autobahn the other day, they were doing about 100mph, I wanted to go faster but I couldnt bring myself to go past them
  11. Friends of mine were touring South America, had just gone into Peru from Argentina and were walking through a small village of maybe 150 population and noticed a blonde girl at the end of the main street, bit unusual for that part of the world. Got closer and it turned out to be our mate from college, she had hooked up with a Peruvian guy in Europe and had just moved out there to live with him a week earlier.
  12. Why do you think my car looks like it does? Because Brembos.
  13. E90 M3 - 414 BHP Standard A couple of years ago for sure, since Ive driven the M235 and 1M, not so much They are a bit big and you really need to cane them to get the best out of them which means you end up going very, very fast I think Id probably even take an M135i with a diff over an M3, theres not a huge difference in size but its enough.
  14. Finally ......... Where you going to get the lips done?
  15. Oh, and going manual? Not cheap, a used V160 will set you back £2.5K, more for a rebuilt one.
  16. We may have to agree to disagree on that one I wouldn't, the 3000gt is 320 hp compared to GTO jap imports that are 270 due to the fact that jap imports had 9B turbos and the brit version 3000 had 13g turbos. It's no slouch and has a similar kerb weight to the supra and would jump up and down on a supra off the line. OK, thats why the resale values are the same these days I know GTO owners loved their cars but a manual MkIV is a hell of a weapon, hence ridiculous resale value thats only going to keep going up. On the handling point, I have the same argument with 200SX owners every time, the Supe chassis dates back to before 1991, the Zed was a new design from over 10 years later. You can make the older car handle with a few upgrades, but do the same to the newer and it pisses all over it. Ive had an Evo and a Zed and they are very different, having driven MkIV's youre talking very different again, its going to be a matter of taste, but the AYC service every 3K miles in the Evo was the killer for me.
  17. Fair play TR, it seems that most didnt realise you got more than one bite of the cherry
  18. See post 75, I think that explains it pretty clearly - Steve's exact words were "but its not a tax for the road its an emmsion tax so it is". If VED was just an emissions tax then power stations would have to pay it, if it was just vehicles then BTCC cars (which Steve also brought up as an example) would have to pay it. We were not discussing tax in general, we were not discussion emissions tax, were discussing VED specifically. If you cant understand that, then I advise some kind of outside tuition.
  19. I said they dont pay VED, not they dont pay emissions tax. Mouthwash, I still dont know what youre on about.
  20. Im starting to worry here - why mention BTCC cars when we are talking about road tax? I brought power stations into it as they are an example of something that creates emissions but is not a vehicle, I thought that was relatively obvious? Has the school holidays started early or something? What? You should probably take some of your own advice. Are you even reading the same thread? What are you on about? What advice? SteveD post 40: Its not a Road Tax, its an emissions tax Me, post 55: No, Its for vehicles used on the road and is calculated by emissions. Its not just vehicles or BTCC cars would have to pay it, its not just emissions or power stations would have to pay it. Is that confusing somehow?
  21. StevoD - give it up mate, much as I love your postings generally youve been proven wrong on VED being solely about emissions, the M6 Toll Road and Boat tax ion 10 odd posts and if you want to know about the MoT questions, it comes down to the fact you cant test something if its not there

  23. Hang on Tricky Ricky, when I said you dont understand I was referring to this:
  24. But not VED funnily enough. Bollocks, Im calling it. This is a job for MEGAFACEPALM ...........
