  1. At least it didnt land on a panel... i had that happen on on a front wing once before on a previous car and caused £300 of damage.
  2. Hi James, If you're stripping your car at all, first dibs on your motorised plate please.
  3. I did 7 days in NYC the christmas before last. 4 days is plenty. I was trying to do it on a budget so stayed at a place called the Ravel hotel in queens, just over the Queensborough bridge. Average hotel but only £70 a night, which was about half the price of anything in Manhattan. However the view from the rooftop breakfast bar was worth the price alone...! http://www.ravelhotel.com/ Things to do... Helicopter Tour Boat trip to Liberty Island Central Park (just to hang out on Literary walk is awesome!) Tea at the Plaza Hotel Go and find the Friends apartment ... ...but the best thing i did was go on The Sopranos tour! If you're a fan you have to go on it. Got to go to loads of locations, and i got to meet Vito from the show, and have a few shots of Tequila in the Bada Bing!
  4. Agreed, I think the better titles are on Xbox, also PS3 was said to be the 'better' console upon launch, however the 360 and PS3 have to this day very similar sales figures. I thought the PS3 failed miserably, as i know probably 10 people with XBOX's and only 1 person with a PS3! However just looked up the figures on Wikipedia and the PS3 has sold 77m units compared to the 360's 75m!

  6. Most people's forum names mean more to them than just whats on this forum. I've been marzman for about 15 years...!
  7. Also, look at the resolution to the problem on this thread. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/56179-air-con-and-heater-fan-intermittent/
  8. Oh and welcome by the way. I'll find you a link to show you how to remove the gear surround... EDIT: http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/dash_removal/
  9. Take off the trim around the gear lever and there is a white ribbon cable behind the heater controls - inspect this for any damage and make sure it is plugged into the controls correctly and also plugged into the white box firmly. The white box is the AC control unit. Try unplugging it from the controls and start the car... does it blow then? Mine blows on full when it's disconnected from the switch.

Finished doing my work on this now and it's up for sale now if anyone's interested (despite me saying in my first post above what i paid for it ) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=271160245455
  11. Cant you just buy an aftermarket generic HID kit and chop it into your existing lights? They're dirt cheap and will do the job fine, and its an easy DIY. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-35W-XENON-HID-single-beam-Kit-H1-H3-H4-H7-H8-H9-H11-9006-4300K-6000K-10000K-/181038820316?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a26c12bdc
  12. I like the jewel lights with the shaded bits as in the first pic. In general the first pic looks great, but then i dont like it in red?
  13. A mate from work stepped off a curb and fell over and thought nothing of it.... next day his whole lower leg turned black, and he'd torn all his ligaments in his ankle. He then had to work from home for 3 weeks as he couldnt drive.
  14. Well that was fun watching tonight... the rugby game was great... but can anyone tell me how they can afford to wreck all those brand new Kia's? Im not having a dig i just want to know how they did it...! Obviously they wouldnt have gone out and spend £250k on all those cars but who would even lend them to them knowing they'd get wrecked?
  15. Only if they are already covered by another insurance policy for someone else. Ahh... didnt know that. oops.
  16. I believe they're an anodized finish from what i've read online.... actually - i'll do a bit of googling on how to restore anodized metal. But yes i had heard bad things about the AutoGlym too... i was always careful with it however and never left it on long. Be careful with Bilberry though too... im sure Bullet Magnet damaged his Volks using that...
  17. Hey guys, I spent a couple of hours trying to clean my Volks today and didnt have much success. I take them off every winter but i did drive with them on during an early frost in November last year and i think the roads had been salted - but i washed them within a few days so don't expect this to be the cause. I also changed my wheel cleaner in the autumn as i'd run out... i've always used DoDo Juice Mellow Yellow wheel cleaner which was great, but i ran out and ended up using some AutoGlym Alloy Wheel Cleaner instead... i used it 3 or 4 times and suspect this may be the cause? Basically the polished lips are covered in spots/marks which are raised to the touch. I've tried the Wolf's Chemicals Deironizer which doesnt touch them, and polished them with Megs NXT Metal Polish which made a slight improvement but still couldnt clear them. Lastly i tried some bug and tar remover but again this did nothing. Anyone have any ideas on what this could be, or how to shift it? Or have they had their day and require a refurb? The last pic is a closeup of the lip - i've breathed on it and fogged it up and you can see the marks very clearly.
  18. You're doing a 60 mile round trip to get some resistors? If you know the ones you want, just order them off eBay. I bought 100 for 99p incl delivery a couple of weeks ago.
  19. Im with Admiral and phoned them up last week to ask if i was allowed to drive other cars on my policy - and they told me i was - so i think this would cover you maybe?
  20. 2.2ohm, are you sure? Thats very small... You can just ask at the counter and they will get the ones you need... they're not usually on display for the public to choose off the shelf.
