  1. Do you want to know my post code and where i keep my keys too?
  2. You can get into all sorts for that price. Mitsubishi Shogun/Pajero, Rav4 etc but your best bet might be a Discovery or similar but i'd personally get a Jeep Grand Cherokee. http://www4.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201302235470769/sort/default/usedcars/price-to/2000/body-type/4x4/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/postcode/sk102hx/page/5/radius/1500?logcode=p
  3. Found the original post (My OCD was getting the better of me and i had to find it!!) Post #54 http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/61164-worst-replicamodified-thread/page__hl__07ad76ea.jpg__st__40
  4. Concourse standards... same for me i think. I'd definitely be keeping my zed but then also buy lots of iconic but ordinary cars and return them all to concourse standards in my home workship that i'd have. I saw a mint MK2 Golf GTI last week which looked ace I'd be keeping all of these cars in my own car showroom which would look a little something like these:
  5. Hey thanks for the comments everyone, much appreciated. Yep it has been hard... especially getting in the 1.3 Fiesta every day. However at least i get to drive that flat out everywhere and still be under the speed limit. Funny you should mention that. Leicester Tigers Rugby Club are one of our clients at work and we've got some work coming up with them in the next couple of months, so i've already dibs'd the project so i can come and see you.
  6. Well... it's been a long winter, and i've only driven the zed ONCE since Nov 21st last year. It's been a long 3 months but it's finally over, and it's back on the road. I spent most of yesterday working on it. First order of business was a new battery, costing £54 from my local motor factors (Bargain!) I'd removed my battery and tried charging it, but it wasnt having any of it. Next, i continued with the wheel refurb that i'd mentioned in my other thread. I had lots of little spot marks on the rims which i couldnt get rid of by hand, but i managed to shift them using a polishing attachment for my drill. It took me about 4 hours in total but im pleased with the results, and have hopefully staved off the need for a refurb for another year. After this i removed the front bumper for a couple of jobs. I wanted to fit the LED reflectors which i made over christmas, and also swap out the horn for the one that Leonk gave me (mine had the optional 'Sports Horn' from nissan, which sounds too gay, so i've gone back to a manly stock horn. ). Thanks Leon - very happy with it. Lastly i gave it the first wash of 2013. Nothing major just a quick wash and light spray on wax. I'll give it some propper detailing tlc in the near future though.. Im glad to see it back looking it's best finally. I also had some part worn Michelin Pilot Sport 2's fitted in the week to replace my worn out Goodyear Eagle F1's. Im expecting big things from these tyres but i've already had a bit of a moment in them coming off a round about, which wouldnt have happened in the F1's so the jury is still out. Next small job to do is have a go with my new polishing attachment and the metal polish on my headlight, as they're starting to show their age. Also this year i need a front end re-spray and i'll probably get the front smoothed and debadged, so i might have the rear debadged too.
  7. Looks like rust coming through where the tailgate has been smoothed.
  8. Sorry mods, i should have done a for sale thread instead, so hopefully this is okay? I've just put 2 part worn (past the legal limit) tyres for sale on eBay. Great tyres, very sad to see them go. Might be of use to someone of a track day etc. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=271165563261
  9. You should definitely fit braided brake lines and uprated fluid too if you're taking it on track again. You will see an improvement if you do that
  10. Agreed, reasonable price that.
  11. I think i organised our attendance the year before last but wont be able to do so this year - im getting married 5 days later so have got enough on my plate!
  12. Always enjoy your pics of this show . 8C
  13. I didnt think i could make this as i thought i'd be abroad, but i've delayed my holiday by a week so might be interested.
  14. Your Z is lovelier though. Ah thankyou immy.
  15. Thanks all for the suggestions. The IronX product is essentially the same as the Wolfs Deironizing gel i have. I cleaned a couple of my wheels by hand with a microfibre and some Megs NXT Metal Polish, and it returned reasonable results. However today i bought a buffing drill bit and had another go... and got much better results. I've only done 1.5 wheels so far which took about an hour. They're still far from perfect but this should give them another year at least before i send them for a refurb. Before: Polish applied: Buffing it off: After (Just that section obviously):
  16. My bro is a higher scientist at the Health and Safety Executive... do you mean that health and safety (HSE) or health and safety in general?
  17. Carbon effect B pillar trims... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350Z-FAIRLADY-PAIR-B-PILLAR-MOULDINGS-TRIMS-CARBON-FIBRE-EFFECT-/230929843722?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3A350+Z&hash=item35c47dc60a
  18. Is that a question? If so - yes they are plug and play - straight swap for JDM guages. Im not sure R35LEE is about on the forum much nowadays though.
  19. That sounds a fair price to be honest, with a checquered history lke that.
