  1. A colleague of mine at work who has a heavily modded impreza Sti Spec C had his car Plati-dipped in Matt Black over Christmas. In terms of the quality of the job - it looks alright. However there's no getting away from the fact that it looks a but crap. It cheapens the car somehow, and a few non-car people have mentioned how @*!# it looks and asked why the hell he would do that. Before i saw his car, i would have considered it on one of my cars. After i've seen it, im pretty sure i now wouldnt.

  6. That would be me... North or southbound? I had been out visiting a client - Worcester Warriors Rugby Club off the M5... I saw another azure zed on the way home near Crewe/Alsager... but i didnt spot it until it was past me.
  7. Admiral every year for me. Fantastic price. £250 cheaper this year than last year too. Import, all mods declared, business use. I tried a couple of the forums insurers and they couldnt get close to it due to the business use, strangely!

  11. Sweet, i just bought one for my Azure (B17). I've been meaning to get one for ages but keep putting it off. I also looked direct on the P4U website and this is cheaper than on there, and with free delivery too!

  13. Whilst i think it's the Civic drivers responsibility to find a suitable gap, how much effort is it for the truck driver to be courteous and adjust his speed to let him in? Prick.
  14. Hi, You are correct, i think the lights holes are covered with a moulded in blanking plate. You'd need to drill the holes and fit your own bulb holders in there, remembering that you need to make a water tight seal whilst still being able to remove the bulb to change it. Might be difficult to get right as you obviously wont be able to use the normal clip in style bulb holders - you'd need to fabricate your own way of keeping them in place.

  17. I'd do this myself if i were you. From experience the best thing i've used to seal lights with is actually glue from a hot melt glue gun. Put a bead all the way round the join and then smooth it over with your finger, and then dip the light in a bucket of water and watch for any tiny air bubbles escaping. If there are bubbles, you'll need to re-glue that bit.
  18. Nope... Santapod is proper Tarmac so will destroy tyres and stress your car. Oulton is a very slippy Tarmac and you could spend a month there and your tyres would be fine. It's very technical and it allows you to learn how to drift and link drifts etc while not giving your car a pasting. Chris didn't you do a vid from there also? Just seen this. I've been about 10-12 times to this - absolute best fun you can have in a car with your clothes on. Here's one of my vids (mostly the outtakes as they're more fun to watch!)

  21. Fairly easy bud. Took me a couple of hours as everything had siezed and it seems slightly more difficult with the Nismo bumper as i had to remove my wheel arch liners before i could get to the inner bolts. Essentially though, there are about 7 bolts across the bottom, 2 each side facing upwards between the bumper and the wheel arch, and the 6 poppers inside the bonnet. It used to take me 15mins on my last zed as you can just bend the arch liners back.
