  1. Did Nissan quote you £400 to fix or a bodyshop? £400 sounds very expensive to me for a blow over on the roof... I would get it fixed properly rather than covering it up i think.
  2. You're not charged per-word you know, so feel free to elaborate.
  3. Its numbers like this that scare me... its pretty much a dead cert that the air suspension is going to go at some point and £3k to resolve it is ridiculous money. I'd hope that there is a cheaper alternative out there with pattern parts or something. But even if i only drive it for a year just to get it out of my system, and hopefully avoid these big bills, i'll be happy.
  4. Cool good info peeps, keep it coming (or not, you're putting me off ). I've just watched the full episode of Wheeler Dealers here if anyone's interested: http://www.streetfire.net/video/wheeler-dealers-range-rover-vogue_part-1_2421386.htm
  5. No i've not seen any from this series yet, but thats a great shout, i'll see if i can find it online. I know right? I've been following the price of them for quite a while. The petrol's are even cheaper but they're too thirsty. I think the red will look great on my drive along side my azure zed. Thats the plan. I'll pickup a cheapo dateless registration for it and it could look like a 2009 car. Recall work - thats a good shout Jim cheers.
  6. So i've been considering getting another car in addition to the zed for over a year now. I originally looked into finance/pcp deals which looked attractive, but i've decided against this as i'd rather own the car outright. There are only 3 cars that i want.... these are a current shape Merc C-Class, a Range Rover Sport, or a standard Range Rover. The first two are a little bit more than i want to spend right now at around £12-14k, but i can get into a regular Range for around £8k which is a really attractive option and something i could do in the next couple of months. Im looking at around a 2003 with 100k on the clock for that price, but age and mileage have never bothered me really as long as it's in good condition. I really like the look of this one with the 22" wheels but without the high miles http://www.autotrade...102hx?logcode=p Or something like this but not a fan of the silver, and preferably without the blue leather http://www.autotrade.../1500?logcode=p Does anyone have any experience with Range Rovers of this age/mileage? I'm aware that they have a bad reputation for reliability but i've not looked into what any of the specific problems are yet, but i will do. Servicing and most maintenance i will do myself so again im not overly concerned here... not sure about the cost of consumables however such as discs and pads etc? Im not really bothered about fuel costs as the diesels allegedly have slightly better mpg than the zed, and im only doing about 10k a year anyway, so splitting that over 2 cars will keep the miles down too. I've never had a 4x4 (and have no need for one), but it's an itch i feel i have to scratch. Any help appreciated guys...
  7. That looks like the most fun in the world. The red Evo looked brutally quick.
  8. i was under the impression that your windows product key should be on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop, and you'd just download an install from microsoft and use your code from the sticker? I'm guessing thats what you've already done... in which case im a bit worried as i bought an Acer laptop for the missus last month and i assumed i'd follow this process as and when i needed to...
  9. Good skills, keep us updated.
  10. Tyres for me... Or Nismo body kit.
  11. Nothing car related for me this weekend. I'm currently putting after sun on my sunburn! I booked 5 days in Majorca back in January and I'm glad I did now with the shite uk weather! I spent 4 hours on the beach today in this 23 degree weather... And got burnt to a crisp.
  12. Chris, you can have it bud, no probs. I will get another batch in soon. You sure bud? Nice one, cheers. Jay - pm me your PayPal address and I'll send the money over cheers.

    Toyo T1R

Thats a great price Jay, i'd be tempted to give them a go at least at that price.
  17. I've read that you can man handle them out from underneath the car, if you can unscrew them from the top first. Never managed this myself though, but i would try again this way as it's a pain in the arse to get the rear bumper off.
  18. Agreed. If you've got an air freshener on your rear view mirror that is moving around slightly this could be the cause.... or you might have a bug trapped inside like a fly or a moth etc.
  19. Well perhaps imports have low mileage because if somebody is going to the trouble of importing a car, then they are a more discerning buyer with a very specific set of requirements? i.e. Why bother importing a car with higher mileage...?
  20. I've got to say, this thread feels like it is in pretty bad taste to me, tainting all low-mileage JDM cars as being clocked.
  21. When the feck has a pink car ever held it's value?
