  1. Zeds are about half the price in the states as they are over here. It's a no brainer. Sell yours here and buy 2 over there.
  2. I really like it. If i still had a zed i'd get one
  3. Just ordered myself the Nilfisk. Couldnt resist as i needed a patio cleaner.
  4. I've not touched my XBone since January as i've been working my ass off away from home for the last 2 months. However, my project is coming to an end within the next 3 weeks so looking forward to getting in some game time. I have, however got a new project on the cards. I'm going to attempt to build a tri-projector racing rig. Basically use 3x projectors to create a seamless panoramic screen, and then build a car cockpit to use with it. All i need is a gaming PC with an Eyefinity capable graphics card. I was allowed to take home 3x 19" monitors from work recently so i'll get the prototype up and running with that before splashing out on the projectors. The last phase of the project will then be to build a 2DOF racing seat, which takes the in-game telemetry and translates it into linear movement. I've been researching this project for a good 6 months or so, and it's quite easy to do! My budget for phase 1 is about £1200 and then a further £600 for the rig in phase 2. 3-projector setup 2DOF rig (skip to 1-min)
  5. According to Camel Camel, the Amazon Nilfisk offer is a good deal. Only briefly been at the price twice before: http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Nilfisk-X-Tra-Pressure-Washer-Cleaner/product/B00AYBSQ4C
  6. No its here Cat and Fiddle road near Macclesfield. Correct. It's the infamous 'Cat and Fiddle' road, named after a pub at the highest point. The scene of this video is 2-3 miles from me. Many a weekend i've driven over to buxton and seen some kind of Biker accident on there. They fitted average speed cameras along the length of the road a few years ago, and they genuinely do seem to have helped.
  7. Too cheap IMHO there matey.
  8. Which one did you get mate? They appear to be £40 on the amazon link above. Just trying to figure out which t-shirt to get. At least it'll save me being Bennett's beer assistant. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Monkey-Garage-Blood-Sweat-Hoodie/dp/B00IE9TATQ/ref=sr_1_30?s=clothing&ie=UTF8&qid=1395692817&sr=1-30&keywords=gas+monkey+garage
  9. I recently bought a 996 C4. As Dan says, it's an experience i felt i had to tick off my list, and im glad i have done, but honestly i'd rather have my old 350z back. Whilst the Porsche is certainly rapid and interesting to drive, i dont feel like it's really that much more special. Also the 'Porsche Anxiety' is pretty annoying... every little noise has me worrying that it's going to cost me some serious money. I've never really been concerned with a cars running costs before, but these are expensive to keep maintained well... and it's money that i dont see as being very good value (i.e. on other cars, preventative maintenance is almost rewarding but on the Porsche i feel like im getting ripped off).
  10. Bennett, you gotta get me a t-shirt! I'll even be your beer assistant in Wales if you do http://www.amazon.co...sl_1pap3vm6i5_b I've been after the hoody for as long as the shows been on TV... they;re about £40 on ebay, but only £28 incl delivery on amazon, so i ordered one today! Cheers GSEXR.
  11. So i've just been out and bought a new car for the daily grind. I was supposed to be getting one when i ended up buying the Porsche instead... i dont know what i was thinking I've done 3.5k miles in that already in the 6 weeks i've had it So anyway, the Range Rover Sport sold a couple of weeks ago, so the last few weeks i've been out looking for a sensible replacement. I've always been after a Merc C-Class but the prices seem to have increased by £1-2k over the last year so it's out me off them a bit as i know i wouldnt be getting good value. So, i've been looking at other options. I test drove an IS220d which was a lovely drive, but the example i found (for my budget) was a bag of nails, and this week i started looking at 3-Series BMW's. I've had 5 or 6 beemers in the past (E36 and E46 shape) and i vowed never to get another as they were very unreliable. However here we are and i've just picked up a newer shape model (i dont even know the name of this MY...?) Anyway, it's a 320d ES with 108k on the clock. Pretty basic spec but it does have a (sickly) cream leather interior, cruise control, and a push start button Bodywork is alright... 2 or 3 small scuffs and a couple of door dings, but i can sort those out if i can be bothered. Price.... it was up at £5.5k with the plate, but i managed to knock them down to £4.8k without the plate, but with a 3 month warranty! There are no known problems at the moment, and it drives an absolute treat! Pics below.
  12. Richard Rawlings is a legend. The tattoo on his arm is a reference to his record...
  13. Possibly my favourite show on TV. Been watching it for a few years. Gas Monkey GET PAID!
  14. Use this stuff... i've used it to get the glue off my windows after removing the window tints from the porsche. And a credit card as a scraper. http://www.diy.com/nav/rooms/cleaning-laundry/household-cleaning/cleaning_products/-specificproducttype-specialist_cleaners/Desolvit-Sticky-Stuff-Remover-250ml-10287730?noCookies=false Bug and Tar remover was no help at all compared to this stuff.
  15. Yep i can see it. Look at these 2 pics of mine... look how shallow the rear centre is on my first pic, and then look at the 2 fronts on the right in the second - clearly deeper.
  16. I think you, Dan and I can start our own little Porsche corner now...
  17. I've been using this stuff recently... £3-odd from B&Q and it works a treat. http://reviews.diy.com/2191-en_gb/10287730/reviews.htm
