Hidden Gem Movies that are Worth a Watch?
marzman replied to allaboutthepasty's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Awesome idea for a topic!! @SuperStu - Brick was the first film i thought of as a hidden gem. Some from me... Comedy: Super Troopers Kingpin Swingers Gritty: This Is England (and the subsequent TV series') Dead Man's Shoes (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0419677/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_28) Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels Snatch Layer Cake Revolver Shooters (very grim movie about scouse gangsters. Worth a watch http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0328420/) Warrior (Tom Hardy - awesome) -
Chin up mate. Take a step back, and revisit it in a week or two when you've got a bit more patience. Looks a cracking job over 80% of the car, so you know you've got it in you to make it 100%.

Wow, that's a masterpiece!! Where did you get the template from, or is it your own design? -

Yeah post some pics up! These arent airsoft, they're 4.5mm metal bb's. Definitely penetrate the skin so you dont want to be shooting anyone! I've never done any airsoft skirmishing but i'd like to. -
I built my own cabinet from scratch a few years ago. Not seen any pi based cabinets. Build thread: http://www.350z-uk.c...lmost-finished/ Finished article (i've added more artwork since then). I used a great piece of software called Maximus Arcade, which is a front end to all the individual emulators. Works great.

So i've still got some more to do on the range first. I'm going to get some military webbing and a couple of sandbags, and some ammo crates etc so that when you open the door it's like a real themed room. Utterly pointless other than to look cool. I'm also going to be hiding this room behind a secret bookcase hidden door, complete with a book lever handle! I've read a few DIY's and they're a pretty easy build. Garage i have lots of plans for. But all in good time there. I sure did mate. I've been wanting to send you a message about it since i moved in, but wanted to wait to see if it actually worked first!! Not sure whats up with youtube... maybe it's because its only just uploaded. -

...Sorry for the pics in the wrong orientation - photobucket is not behaving. -
So my wife and i recently purchased our first house. We've been renting for 8 years but we are now very happy home owners. Sarnie played a huge part in this by securing us a great mortgage which beat anything else i could find - thanks mate if you're reading. Anyway - the house... it's amazing. It's pretty huge (to us), with 5 bedrooms and a double garage. We dont have kids so all rooms are for us to use as we please! So far i've got an office and i'm building a retro-games lounge / man cave. I'll add pics of that to this thread once it's in a bit better shape! Anyway onto today's build - on the top floor of the house there is a small doorway into the eaves, where we have approx a 13m long passageway that's been boarded and has power. Rather than fill it with crap i decided to make good use of it, for one of my hobbies. I started out with these bits ...and this space ...and fitted them like this ... to make one of these - a Target Retrieval System! I collect CO2 pistols/rifles and usually do a bit of target practice in my garage, but i thought this made more sense. ... okay it's not motorised yet but it will be soon. For now it's a manual job to wind the target back and forth, but it's a start! I've bought a big piece of foam to catch the bb's which you can see at the end of the range. Works really well. Here's what i was shooting with.

On the import auto model there is a Sport/Snow mode button next to the heated seat switches, so it could just be standard wiring on all cars for that purpose.

Just keep phoning up looking for cancellations. They're bound to happen. When i booked my test, there was a 3-month lead time until test day. Then when test day came around we had a huge snowstorm, so it was cancelled and i had a further 3 months delay! From booking on 31st October 2003, my test wasnt until 8th April 2004. Passed first time though.

£3k, thats a bargain?! How much will the labour be on top of that? -
Agree. Definitely needs a rub down after the primer, else you'll get a textured finish. (Speaking from experience!)

I got an invite for the Fifa 16 closed beta, so i've been playing that tonight. Feels great so far, certainly an improvement over 15, although there seems to be an over reliance on skill moves to make space for a player. Have also borrowed Battlefield Hardline off a mate. Thats just installing now.

I hate BT. I think it's bang out of order that they've now got all CL football and are holding Sky customers to ransom in order watch it. W@nkers. I'd happily pay over the odds to rip them off rather than paying them.

Any more takers?

Any coders/programmers/keyboard wizards on here?

I was an RPG developer on the IBM iSeries, but progressed into consultancy about 5 years ago. I have dabbled in lots of other languages though. I still use a lot of SQL to do my job though, and still end up debugging our applications about once a week (it's quicker than getting one of the programmers to do it). -
What have i missed? i've been away on business for most of the last month so not played it. I knew it was buggy but not enough to make me quit. I've not played online yet though... only single player.

I was working as a plumbers mate whilst on summer break from University. Ended up watching it all unfold in the customers house whilst swapping out some radiators.
