Welcome Gerry. Stick up a post in the Introductions section and show us your other cars too!

Just tap into your side lights (i.e. the first position on the light switch).

Cool site. Weirdly my previous Range Rover Sport has been SORN'd and no MOT since February this year?! That's a lot of car to not be driving, and a long time to sit on a forecourt if its for sale. My 911 doesnt show on there (probably a good thing) as it was an absolute nail. The garage i bought it from put it through an MOT with no advisories but by the time i got it home the exhaust was hanging off!

Yes but they're both highly obnoxious, which is really the point of them. Similar to the Porsche Cayenne, stupidly large, expensive, and ugly. The point i feel is as a status symbol, showing that you've got so much money you dont even care how silly your car looks.

ah, speak of the devil.

Agreed, i used to buy Endless pads for the JDM brakes from Cougar Store on here.

Yes Driftworks are well known and have a good rep.

Tried my hand at hydro dipping AKA water transfer printing...

Looks good for a first attempt. Expensive kit though, ay? I've not looked into the prices of these before but that would be a bit off putting for me (especially if its going to take a few goes to get right....) So what's next to be dipped then? -
I had a good day today... whilst out and about i discovered an independent games store near to my new house. Popped in and bought about 15 retro games, plus a preowned copy of Fifa 16 which i've been after for ages. A nice way to spend £75 and a new local haunt for me to visit.

Actually lolled, and then had to explain how brakes work to my wife... and after that she still didnt think it was funny.

I've stopped playing Pcars too. It was fine and i could largely live with the issues, but for some odd reason, all of a sudden my steering wheel became extremely stiff and near impossible to turn. After about an hour of messing with all the settings i found the value causing the problem, and it had decided to default itself to +100 instead of +10 that it should have been. Annoyingly this is one of the settings that needs to be changed per-car, and when i switch the console off and on again the default value of +100 returns. There's probably a way to fix this but i cant be bothered... it's been relegated to the bottom of the pile.

Where was your car? Was it in one of the official car parks? I always park in Jet Park 3...

I've just received my invite to the closed beta for this. Game is downloading now... will report back with feedback

Just because i'm not 'friends' with someone on social media doesn't mean i dont have a right to be interested in why they've disappeared. And anyway, this forum is social media anyway.

Brilliant. I've just spent 5 minutes looking for an inoffensive 'Gestapo' meme but all the ones i found would have no doubt got me banned, but i didnt want to risk people not knowing why im not on here anymore.
-
Ok, I killed Smudgeon aka Jordan - but I did apologize Wouldn't have got banned for that So how about it Mr Mod Could we get a statement if people are banned, nothing detailed, just to what end they got banned/suspended for? The forum provides a description of what is acceptable conduct. People who go over that line are informed by the team. Decision made regarding warnings and bans are discussed and agreed by the whole team in the interest of the forum. The result of any decision is communicated to the member / members involved and no one else. There is no need to publicly announce any bans or provide any more detailed information on a ban regardless of how interested other parties are. It is between the team and the individual. Put simply there is no cloak or dagger agendas, the information is not for public consumption. You just have to trust the team. As Graham mentioned however we are currently discussing the issue but i see no reason to change the policy we currently have I'm glad it's being discussed Will, as imho i think this is long overdue. I have 100% trust that there is nothing cloak and dagger going on. I'd consider most if not all of the mods on here my friends having met the majority of you many times over the years. Wanting to know has nothing to do with dredging up debate or pointing the finger at anyone. It would just be nice to know. ...I think this is the only place I've encountered where someone can be 'disappeared' without any explanation. If you're at work and one of your colleagues doesnt show up, who you've seen everyday for 6 years, the boss is going to tell you why.

Man i hate not knowing why people get banned! Really winds me up!! I dont live on here as much as I used to so not up to speed with all the subtelties and cliques anymore, but still have an interest in the community. When someone gets banned i then go off searching old threads for an hour to build a timeline of events to figure out what happened, but i rarely find the answer.

Yes its definitely easier if you remove the wheel first. Just phillips screws as far as i can remember to remove the arch liner.

I should also add... my local kebab man came to my wedding (we became friends over the years!). When i was chatting with my mates that i used to go out with they were like 'Is that the guy from cheshire fast food? Why's he at your wedding?' Good guy. He also does a wicked tandoori doner meat... but only for mates.

Also i meant to say... on my first overnight trip away from home with work i had a food budget of £25 - so i literally spent all £25 in a kebab shop in Reading and was in there for over 2 hours eating kebabs/chips/burgers and drinking cans of Fanta and Dr Pepper etc. It was amazing, but the next day onsite with my customer was painful!!

Now we're talking. Literally my favorite food group. First kebab - Donner kebab, aged 14 Toppings - Chilli Sauce and Mayo Fillings - Only onion, nothing else Bread - prefer Naan or a wrap but often i'll just order donner meat in a tray to cut down on carbs Best Kebab - I've spent about a month in Athens on business and the best kebabs i've ever had by a country mile were from Thanasis Kebab in Monastiraki. Recently i've just moved towards stoke on trent and they have quite a few new kebab shops to try! My new favourite is a Chicken Shwarma on a Samoon - a lovely, odd shaped soft bread. Only £2.50 too! They sell mini donner kebab machines for home use, i've been meaning to get one for years!

If you can find one, what about a V8 Toyota Aristo or Lexus GS430?
