  1. Not the best picture as i couldnt be bothered turning the lights on, but here is my 65" curved Samsung. I want a bigger one to be honest... i have to move closer to the TV when playing Fifa as my sofa's too far away. Curved is pointless though... i dont notice any benefit from it.
  2. We should get a race going Yeah would be good. I'm KingMarz. Usually on after 10.30pm most nights. I'm not that happy with Forza 6 though... i gave it a couple of hours at the weekend and i dont like the handling with my Thrustmaster TX. Under braking the cars just dont feel right and i don't have that much confidence on the steering. I've got the handling set to simulation though so maybe i need to try it on standard. What do you use? It's not you, it's a game-breaking bug and is why I've stopped playing it. Basically, when using the wheel it turns every car into an oversteery mess, like you're running 165 width tyres on the rear! It doesn't matter if you put it on Sim or Std, it's still broken. You can try changing the diff lock, or camber or toe, or whatever you like: It doesn't matter, every car will still be shocking. Some people have had success by turning the steering lock down on the wheel itself, but it just made it too twitchy for me. Basically, you need to play with a pad, which is ridiculous. However Fallout 4 is out tomorrow and scoring 9s and 10s, so I don't care. Interesting is this a specific issue with the TX wheel as i am not experiencing that with the logitech (mind you that was designed in collaboration with team 10) My issue is more with braking that oversteer. I've learned from previous driving games not to switch off traction control as the cars will be undriveable otherwise. With the braking i feel like the cars should be stopping much more quickly than they do. I'm braking at the 300m boards and still struggling to get round the corners. I feel like i'm only getting 50% of the braking force i should do. Maybe i'll give it a go with the pad then and see if that's any different. On a positive though.... holy sh!t the graphics! I did my first wet race and it was fantastic!! The water beads going up the windscreen, and the reflections of the lights from the pits as i go down the pit straight. Stunning!

  4. This. Also get yourself registered on the electoral register at your current address. it's worth quite a bit on the credit checking front. Takes up to 6 weeks to appear on a credit check from point of registration, so do it now in time for Jan/Feb.
  5. Is it bad? I only got about 10 mins on the Beta back in Oct...
  6. Just picked up Forza 6 second hand for £30. Will have to get out my driving rig again to give it a proper go.

Welcome Gerry. Stick up a post in the Introductions section and show us your other cars too!
  8. Just tap into your side lights (i.e. the first position on the light switch).
  9. Cool site. Weirdly my previous Range Rover Sport has been SORN'd and no MOT since February this year?! That's a lot of car to not be driving, and a long time to sit on a forecourt if its for sale. My 911 doesnt show on there (probably a good thing) as it was an absolute nail. The garage i bought it from put it through an MOT with no advisories but by the time i got it home the exhaust was hanging off!
  10. Yes but they're both highly obnoxious, which is really the point of them. Similar to the Porsche Cayenne, stupidly large, expensive, and ugly. The point i feel is as a status symbol, showing that you've got so much money you dont even care how silly your car looks.
  11. Agreed, i used to buy Endless pads for the JDM brakes from Cougar Store on here.
  12. Yes Driftworks are well known and have a good rep.
  13. Looks good for a first attempt. Expensive kit though, ay? I've not looked into the prices of these before but that would be a bit off putting for me (especially if its going to take a few goes to get right....) So what's next to be dipped then?
  14. I had a good day today... whilst out and about i discovered an independent games store near to my new house. Popped in and bought about 15 retro games, plus a preowned copy of Fifa 16 which i've been after for ages. A nice way to spend £75 and a new local haunt for me to visit.
  15. Actually lolled, and then had to explain how brakes work to my wife... and after that she still didnt think it was funny.
  16. I've stopped playing Pcars too. It was fine and i could largely live with the issues, but for some odd reason, all of a sudden my steering wheel became extremely stiff and near impossible to turn. After about an hour of messing with all the settings i found the value causing the problem, and it had decided to default itself to +100 instead of +10 that it should have been. Annoyingly this is one of the settings that needs to be changed per-car, and when i switch the console off and on again the default value of +100 returns. There's probably a way to fix this but i cant be bothered... it's been relegated to the bottom of the pile.
  17. Where was your car? Was it in one of the official car parks? I always park in Jet Park 3...
  18. I've just received my invite to the closed beta for this. Game is downloading now... will report back with feedback
  19. Just because i'm not 'friends' with someone on social media doesn't mean i dont have a right to be interested in why they've disappeared. And anyway, this forum is social media anyway.
  20. Brilliant. I've just spent 5 minutes looking for an inoffensive 'Gestapo' meme but all the ones i found would have no doubt got me banned, but i didnt want to risk people not knowing why im not on here anymore.
  21. Ok, I killed Smudgeon aka Jordan - but I did apologize Wouldn't have got banned for that So how about it Mr Mod Could we get a statement if people are banned, nothing detailed, just to what end they got banned/suspended for? The forum provides a description of what is acceptable conduct. People who go over that line are informed by the team. Decision made regarding warnings and bans are discussed and agreed by the whole team in the interest of the forum. The result of any decision is communicated to the member / members involved and no one else. There is no need to publicly announce any bans or provide any more detailed information on a ban regardless of how interested other parties are. It is between the team and the individual. Put simply there is no cloak or dagger agendas, the information is not for public consumption. You just have to trust the team. As Graham mentioned however we are currently discussing the issue but i see no reason to change the policy we currently have I'm glad it's being discussed Will, as imho i think this is long overdue. I have 100% trust that there is nothing cloak and dagger going on. I'd consider most if not all of the mods on here my friends having met the majority of you many times over the years. Wanting to know has nothing to do with dredging up debate or pointing the finger at anyone. It would just be nice to know. ...I think this is the only place I've encountered where someone can be 'disappeared' without any explanation. If you're at work and one of your colleagues doesnt show up, who you've seen everyday for 6 years, the boss is going to tell you why.
