  1. So this is totally lame, i know, but i liked it. http://retromash.com/argos/ This site has a lot of the old 80's and 90's Argos catalogues scanned in that you can view. If you were like me growing up, then this should be a nice trip down memory lane. I used to look forward to the new catalogue coming out and then would look through the toys section in detail and make a note of everything i wanted for my birthday/Christmas. I've just been through a few years and found a load of old toys i used to have which i'd forgotten about!
  2. Great write up tim. Love the sieves... B)
  3. Take the s out of https after you've pasted the link.
  4. Look similar to the ones i used to make, here: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/39484-06-onwards-reflector-leds/ I dont make them any more, it's not worth the time/effort. But i'm happy to do a guide if anyone wants to have a bash at making some themselves... it's really easy.
  5. Took the dog for a long walk this morning, and then have been sat in the garden all afternoon with my wife. Several beers and a nice fat cigar later (Cohiba) and i'm done. Lovely weekend. ..although i can feel the burn already setting in.
  6. Im on the red and green bandwagon. None of this blue and green, thats not a real saying (sorry Ekona's mum). ...but my blood is literally boiling over this vandalism. ****ing aresholes, i'd be on twitter looking for some clever **** to brag about it on line and then i'd be on to him.
  7. If you're set on those colours, i'd get some better decals to improve it. I was looking forward to seeing the anime decal but this one's not very inspiring. I dont know who the character is but from the pics it looks like a low res CGI character. it would be much better with a traditional drawn image. It needs to be much larger too.
  8. Fitting a new roof sounds fun! I'll be working in the garden most probably... prepping for some decking that i'm planning on fitting during June. (Take a week off during Euro 2016... do some DIY and watch football, the perfect week!) And my BMW needs an oil change so if i can get my arse in gear i'll probably do that too.
  9. I'm so glad i live 'up north'. We bought our first house last year. It was a 'modest' £265k, but it's a large 5-bed with double garage in a nice but cheap area. We had some friends from London come and visit and they were really p***ed off, saying it would have cost about £1M where they live! ...just move up here and buy a nice house outright!
  10. I'd go anthracite personally. Lighter than black so you get a bit more definition, and still goes great with UY.
  11. No way, i was literally about to click on Auto trader to see how much these are going for before clicking this link! Really like these.

    BMW E89

My old man in the USA has got one. It's a really handsome car. He loves it but he's not really a car lover, so can't really comment on how good they are. Still looking to get rid of the zed?
  13. Either my Azure Nismo Zed or my Range Rover Sport. Opposite ends of the scale as far as cars go, but both were my pride and joy. Owned them both at the same time actually, so that was a good period in my life! I miss my zed from a social and modding perspective, but I miss the RRS more overall.
  14. Bargain. Can't be many of these left in the world unused.
  15. Gutted. Should have given me a shout.
  16. Set your own meet up for a time that suits you and post it on here - see if you can get some interest.
  17. That's awesome Leon, a great result by the sound of it!! I cant wait to see it with paint on. Those gaps look fantastic in the pics by the way.
  18. See published MPG figure. Know reality will be 20-25% less than this. Get on with life.
  19. Hi Lexx, Will the T-Shirts need to be printed with a limited number of colours, or are you planning to have a photo-quality image printed on the shirts? If using screen printing you're usually limited to a basic 4 colour design for clothes.
  20. I thought my move last year was protracted... to get to within a week of the moving date only for it to be delayed by 3 months. We were fully packed, with just 2 knives, 2 forks and 2 plates left out etc, then couldnt be bothered unpacking so lived like that until we moved. ...But some of these stories are horrific!
  21. Not really a bodge but a quick fix on the fly... when i was 20 in my E36 beemer i had a sub and amp fitted. Occasionally when i started it up it the amp wouldnt kick in, so i'd just switch the car off and on again and it would power on. Well i must have done this 10 times without incident. However on this one occasion i was doing about 20mph when i chose to switch the engine off and on again to get it to kick in, but i needed to steer slightly. As i steered whilst the engine was off, the steering lock kicked in and i couldnt turn the key to restart it, and i drifted onto the wrong side of the road into on coming traffic!! Luckily nothing was coming and i came to a stop on the wrong side, managed to restart it, and pull away before anyone saw me.
  22. So im usually pretty tight with my money, but i've just spent £62 on beer! I'm not much of a drinker but my favourite beer was Kronenbourg Blanc. They stopped selling it in the UK in about 2009 and i've been looking for it ever since. Checking every few months to see if i can find it online anywhere etc. Well i found a retailer in the Netherlands this week and have just ordered 36 bottles today (maximum that can be shipped in a single package). They'll probably last me all summer to be honest, but i cant wait! Hopefully it's the same stuff... the packaging has changed slightly.
