  1. That was pretty good actually. • Running out of ways to say thanks when a succession of doors are held for you, having already deployed ‘cheers’, ‘ta’ and ‘nice one’ Reading this, i'd already said, nice one, cheers, ta in my mind before i got to the end as there are 3 doors like this at work that i have to go through and thats the order that i say them in! Couldn't believe it that this example used the same words as me!
  2. Sorry, none of that made any sense to me! You should just be able to add the Z as a temporary additional vehincle to any of your policies, re-tax it (on a monthly DD) and get it sold.
  3. Who are you with? I've just bought a new car and i've got my old car insured on the same policy as a 'temporary additional vehicle' until i sell it. This was £33 for 28 days. That's with Admiral.
  4. I believe it's a Varis lip, but they're rare as hens teeth so good luck finding one.
  5. Has anyone analysed how many deaths have been avoided by having autopilot yet? If the run rate for fatalities in standard cars is 1 in 250,000 over a certain period for example (made up), even with this fatality are Tesla's still proving to be safer than standard cars? ...if that's the case though i don't know how i feel about it. I'd rather take my chances of a higher mortality rate with me in control, than a lower mortality rate but a computer is in control.

    Integra DC5

i really like these... always wanted one. Just wrong wheel drive.
  7. Just playing The Crew for the first time on XBone. It's free on XBL this month... i'm an hour in to it and impressed so far. These last few years i pick games up and then turn them off again after 10 mins but this is cool. Very NFS Underground so far, with the same handling.
  8. This is actually really good...
  9. I binned off Forza 6 quite quickly... as Dan says the wheel support was awful. Never felt in control of the car. Project Cars was excellent, when it worked. The only racing game i play nowadays though is F1 2015. This is brilliant with a wheel.
  10. Those pics look good... the location makes it look like you're in Japan.
  11. 12.6% for me... but then probably 85% of my posts were pre-like button having joined in 2007.

  13. First mod has been done on the RRS... I ordered a sidestep kit off ebay for £120. Really good quality kit and easy to fit - all bolted on to existing fixings. Took me about 3 hours in total. Before: During: After: Also since picking up the car i found out it's got a couple of toys which i didnt realise it had... Firstly it's got Adaptive Cruise Control, where you can set the distance you'd like to remain from the car in front, and it will speed up or slow down accordingly. Really well implemented tech and is lovely to use. Secondly - it's got freeview TV via the sat nav screen! Its actually pretty cool!
  14. Great picture, congratulations. I was lucky, I got married 3 years ago but my wife didn't want anything big. We had a registry office ceremony with about 8 guests, then went for a nice meal, and finally had a reception with 120 guests at a local restaurant/bar, who provided a buffet. We asked everyone to dress casual as it was going to be a relaxed event, not like a traditional wedding day. There were no speeches, bridesmaids or best man, but we did have a first dance. Total cost was £1100 incl dress/rings/venue/ceremony, and I had loads of friends tell me it was the best wedding they'd been to. There was such a good atmosphere. My only regret was that we didnt get more pictures... we have about 20 from our phones but that was it. And fortunately my Dad paid for our honeymoon in Mexico...!
  15. Instead i'm going to be stuck in my house with negative equity, unable to remortgage. 5 years is nothing in the grand scheme of life. It's called tough love and personally, you were kinda silly not to wait until after the referendum. I was silly for buying a house 12 months ago?? What planet are you on you smug prat?? Negative equity is an issue when you've got a 90% mortgage and you need minimum 10% equity in order to be able to remortgage, otherwise you get stuck paying the ridiculous SVR to the tune of £1500 per month!! I can afford to pay it, but i dont wanna. And if we hadn't have voted to leave I had the financial plans in place to not ever have to pay it, but now it's out of my hands.
  16. ...and as far as facebook feeds go - the 'chavs' on my feed were the ones celebrating. i.e. minimal education and low income, with little to lose. There was a lot of sorrow amongst the 'middle classes' on my feed, i.e. early 30's, young families with good educations and good careers. This might offend some, but this is the 'FACT' according to my FB feed.
  17. But we can surely all agree that things aren't going to be better for any of us for at least the next 5 years are they?! I've spent my 20's not having enough money, and just as i get into my 30's, buy my first house, have got enough money to be happy - the rug gets pulled from under me. Now i've got a decade of financial uncertainty all over again. I wish I didnt buy my house last year now, and that I would have waited until next year when the values would have plummeted and mortgages will be cheaper. Instead i'm going to be stuck in my house with negative equity, unable to remortgage.
  18. Cool car. Not sure on the two-tone paint job, it would look better with the grey all over. Will look great with the candy red wheels.
  19. Thats right - in summer 2010. Darren who i bought the car from was on the Wales run with the forum and his clutch went half way round!
  20. i'm still on the standard clutch and it's fine (85k) and now i've said that, bring on the clutch slip! Some members are over 100,000k and on the standard clutch. maybe the previous owner slipped it like a b*tch in 2nd a lot or perhaps launched it from stand still regularly. It's a shame, but yes the clutch can be adjusted. Previous owner did nothing of the sort. Matt, when you do the pedal dance, film it with your phone so you can refer back to it and figure out the code from the video.
  21. Cheers Andy, i'll keep that in mind. The huge panels on Rangie's seem to be a magnet for scratches! Yep no worries. Ask away.
  22. Hi guys, I recently decided to get another Range Rover Sport having sold my previous one in 2014. It's only a stop gap for the time being... to be honest the RRS interior feels really dated now. In around 18 months i'm hoping to get something much newer (New shape RRS, Macan, FPace, or 718 Cayman are the front runners at the moment, in that order). I've been to see a few old Range's and they have all been lemons so far, but I found a good one today. Its a 56-plate with 100k on the clock in the colour combination i wanted (black/frost leather), and the HSE spec (sat nav, heated seats, fridge etc). Best part is though that it's the TDV8 Diesel, so has buckets of power. It's 268bhp and 640nm of Torque, with an 8.4 second 0-60 time, which feels really quick in a 2.5 tonne car. I had a test drive today and it was lovely. Importantly the service history was impeccable (scary, even). Full Land Rover Service history, with all the receipts. It had £3.2k spent on it in December 2015 on a few bits, as well as a few other £2k+ receipts from a couple of years ago. I've got some mods planned for it... side steps and an autobiography grill will be first, followed by wheels probably, and maybe tinted windows. Hopefully picking it up next Saturday.
