  1. I've got no poeple skills when it comes to this stuff. I'd have done exactly what you did. ...Just keep your motor out of sight buddy
  2. Welcome pal. Enjoy the next week waiting - there's no better feeling!!
  3. Really gutted for you mate. I hate this sh1t. I cant say on here what i'd do to someone if i caught them messing with my car - it might incriminate me at a later date!! ...but i'd be at the bottom of me drive Sorry pal.
  4. I cant confirm that they are ALL hid, but a lot have hid-capability. However when they are SVA'd, the importer takes out the hid bulbs and bypasses the ballast, thus making them standard headlights. In my case they left it like that, but i've had my headlights out and the ballasts are still there - would just need to un-frig the wiring and buy some bulbs (cheapest i could find is £43ea.) Chris.
  5. Well, with yesterday's nice weather i decided to give it quick wash and take some pics with the new wheels etc. The camera packed up after only 8 pictures (using a crappy old Olympus 3.2m camera nowadays - the missus dropped our good one ). I got one decent shot, and looking to join this HDR bndwagon i had a look around in photoshop, but i dont have the hdr options (need cs2 or 3 i think). So the best i could do was simply apply a 'High Pass' filter - which i think looks pretty cool! Plate is photoshopped too. ...now if only i could take a picture with my car in the center of it... Chris.
  6. is that good or bad My comment was not helpful, I realise, I wish you the best of luck with the sale Interested to know wether the price is considered realistic You did ask ... On face value a 2003 JDM-Z now retails, tops at about £11k. You've been in the modding business as long as me (well not quite that long ) and you'll probably agree that the top-end expectation is to get 50% back on mods - any mods (based on your choice not being someone else's). Let's suppose you have £8k of mods on the car - that equates, top whack to £15k retail The point I'm making (and perhaps not so well I admit ) is unless you are extraordinarily fortunate to find someone who wants a modded Z (and doesn't want to mod it to their own spec - that's a big IF) then normal rules (as above) apply. The great thing about these forums is that anyone's opinion is precisely that - their opinion, no more, no less, and the above is mine. I agree with this to an extent, but i think Phil is in a position to charge a premium due to the fact its actually coming from him - the leading 350z modifier in the uk? Side by side, if my car had the exact same mods, but not installed by ESR, people would still be willing to pay more for Phil's. I think 6 months ago Phil, you could have got £19k for it, but right i dont know. Good luck though, and if i had the dosh i would love it...!
  7. Think you saw me - turning onto King St. Car looks good, and love the Veilside

  18. Hey, i had my heart set on the car, so i wasnt gonna let a little but of insurance put me off . Anyway, i got an extra £750 on my loan for the car which i paid straight into the insurance, so have been paying £200 a month for the last 9 months. However, as of 25th July i had no more to pay now until October, so thats a few quid in me pocket! And now from October because i turn 25, it come down to approx £800, so im very happy. Good luck ian.
  19. Superb. Anyone know if i can do this with my cheapo camera?? What do i need to be able to di it...?
  20. Ey up bud, Our imports are still only group 18, and i was having similar problems to you insuring mine. I was 23 and the cheapest i could find was £3.7k but then my boss put me in touch with a brokers he has his impreza insured with, and they cam through. They insured me for £2.5k through elephant, even though elephant were quoting £3.7k direct to me. That was over a grand cheaper than i could find anywhere else. Also, when they ask how many miles you do, say about 6k, and tell them that you're a member on here. Kieth Michaels they're called... http://www.keithmichaels.co.uk/ Good luck.
  21. Simply awesome wheels. Killer wait for them though eh? I waited 5 weeks for my wheels and i was going up the wall! I think you should get rid of the orange off the front end now (headlights and reflectors) and get them blacked out, cos the orange clashes with the red lip. Otherwise
