I disagree mate - i'd still take the car at that. If someone told you you needed 1500quids worth of work doing on your car, you'd tell them to go f*ck themselves. Jeez, im glad i have a JDM and dont have to pay to keep my service history looking nice! I had an oil change today, supplying my own oil and filter (filter was £5, oil was discounted price of £30 from ESR). My mate at the local garage did it for free and stamped my book (but i bunged him 20quid anyway). Have a pop charger, so no filter to change, and i can top up my own washer bottle!

Hey bud, I had fairly major spine surgery in April and actually put my zed up for sale at the time as i thought i wouldnt be able to drive it/hack the pain after the surgery - but it didnt sell and within a month i was driving regularly again... (even though i was told not to). Tell him to stick it out

Do it mate - its all good fun. And if anything goes wrong, yeh its really annoying and will make you want to kick your dog or something, but in 6 months time its worth it and you can laugh about it.

I wouldnt personally - i used some halfords bug and tar remover on my standard jdm wheels and it made a bit of a mess of the finish!
