  1. Good points. I've not heard a 718 yet. Would you not consider a 997.1 then at all? I know exactly what you're saying with the Mustang, too. What other bad ass cars haven't i thought of?? C63 you mentioned Irfan, always loved these but im definitely after a sleek coupe look.
  2. Hey pal, Yeah thats true, well remembered. It is definitely still on my to-do list. I could go Panamara and then an MX5 for drifting... What had made this less attractive for me was the need to Tax/MOT/Insure it. If im doing this i'd want a pure track car to then trailer to get track days. That was one of the main reasons i got my RRS to be honest, for towing, but then i never followed through on getting a trailer, as i've not really got anywhere to keep one (i dont want it in my garage and looks ugly outside on the front of the house).
  3. Im starting to get itchy feet again. I've not had a 'sporty' car since i sold my old 911 in 2014. Im currently driving an 06' Range Rover Sport which is lovely, but starting to show its age now. I've never had a new, or nearly new car, and im really keen to get something much more modern soon. I'm toying with a few options at the moment. Sell the RRS and get something ordinary as a day to day car, and then something fun for the weekend. I'm thinking: A used 991 (unlikely) or 997.2 911. Seem to start at about £35k for the 997.2's Cayman (2014+) or a new 718? Again starting around the £35k mark or more for a new one Jaguar F-Type coupe. Again, starting at 35k ish used. Or do i scratch the Mustang itch and go for either 60's Mustang, and have a much better daily driver. Budget £12-18k Modern mustang and have it as my only car? Porsche Panamara and have it as my only car? Basically, i want something bad ass. A 997.1 would be amazing if their engine wasn't made of chocolate. They can be had from £22k upwards. Maybe this is the answer and then just pay for a bulletproof warranty, or factor in an engine replacement at some point given the cheaper purchase price? If i do get a 911 or a Mustang, i plan for it to be a garage queen and keep it indefinitely or until i've got Ferrari money (in 20 years)
  4. I dont think he's a cliche at all, he's just following fashion.
  5. Funny really, you would think the last thing he would want to portray is the stereotypical wealthy young black dude with diamonds, gold chains, tatts, hats and odd sunglasses whos "thuggin", your a racing driver, not a rappa It's pop culture, and he's an icon. Let him get on with it i reckon. Look at his circle of friends, he's hanging out with rappers and music people so he's more justified than most to dress like that.
  6. Yeah fair one. I live on Football, UFC and F1, so its worth it for me, but if it was just one of those maybe i'd think twice.
  7. So just pay for Sky? You only live once. I know some people at work who boycott it as its a rip off, but sometimes you just have to admit defeat and pay the ransom.
  8. Yeah, me too. My Silverstone weekend tickets were delivered today.
  9. Spotted today whilst i was getting my Range MOT'd. Very nice.
  10. Do you want a project one? Or ready to go and drive? Not saying this is a good buy, but the price is not bad considering that's everything paid, import/taxes, registration etc. http://www.rodsnsods...included-472081 I'd say go for it, there are plenty around, just takes a lot of research and googling to find a good one, in budget, with solid pictures. A LOT of people I reached out to didn't even respond to my enquiries, and some were not willing to take pics of the underside, so I walked away without hesitation. Cheers for the link. Was leaning towards a finished example... not got the appetite for a build at the moment. Great price that though.
  11. Brilliant. Looks lovely. I'm strongly considering the prospect of a 60's Mustang within the next 12 months or so. Will be watching this with interest.
  12. 2D gaming is pretty much on its arse to me now, sadly. Loving my PSVR at the moment. Lots of new content being released every week. Played through Batman Arkham VR for the first time at the weekend - it's only an hour long but it's outstanding.

    Drift Matsuri

    This is a great shot.
  14. Been to NYC 3 or 4 times. Love it. I can recommend a great bar called Bar Cade on 24th street. http://barcadenewyork.com/ got craft beers and loads of retro arcade machines to play for 25c each. I was playing NBA jam at 2am with a mexican dude in there...
  15. That was ace. First time i've really enjoyed one of these for a long time. Good chemistry between the guys.
  16. 4.6 to 4.8 depending on where you look. SRT claims 4.6 This is for a 2.5 tonne luxury cruiser. #Win My RRS is 8.4 0-60 and feels like the millennium falcon jumping into hyprespace when i put my foot down, due to the high torque (same as yours 640nm), so i cant imagine how this thing feels.
  17. Sh!t the bed... just looked these up... 4.8 seconds 0-60??
  18. That looks great. I love a nice 4x4. Any interior pics?
  19. Performance might be better, but not fuel economy. https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/coldweather.shtml
  20. Are your tyres up to pressure? Also, probably not this but fuel economy is always MUCH worse in cold weather... the weather was mild before christmas but much colder since.
  21. Dirt Rally VR has just been released. Got it yesterday - it's spectacular. I've recently sold my XBOX steering wheel but still got the car seat setup - so in the market for a PS4 wheel now to make the most of this.
  22. Also known as Porsche anxiety. I know that feeling... its not nice!
  23. The seats fold completely flat in the RRS. Wide enough for two... but probably only 6' of space lengthways.
  24. TDV8 Range Rover Sport? I have one. 600-odd nm of torque.
