  1. Im a software developer and i write credit card software. ...no, i haven't written a program to take all the left over 1p's from transactions and put them in my account - but i know how to
  2. Sorry, off topic but can you have the same plate on more than 1 car? I thought you couldnt, but there's a guy in macc with a Rolls Royce which i see frequently, and saw last thursday - then the next morning i saw the same plate on a white GTR and it ended up going to the building next to where i was going when dropping my missus at work! Guy obviously has some money to spend, but im puzzled by the plates.
  3. Is this car going to be your daily driver/only car? The zed is the only car in our house and its very easy to live with... The boot is plenty big enough for us, and its comfy for long journeys. I couldnt live with an elise/vx. Also, i think the Z3M is a damn ugly car, so i dont think it'll much of a head turner, unlike the zed.
  4. Geez, for a UK model thats well cheap... Im gutted!
  5. Were you talking about this a few weeks ago? To me, it sounds like a faulty ballast or something... In that case you have 3 options. 1. Replace like for like - not sure of the price, but looking at mucho dollar i'd think. 2. Turn your lights into regular halogen lights, bypassing the HID kit. This will cost you about a fiver plus bulbs, and a few hours DIY work. Can talk you through this if you want to go down this route - just PM me... 3. Buy an aftermarket HID kit, and replace your stock HID kit with it. These kits start at about £40 on eBay, but im not vouching for their quality...naturally i'd assume that the more expensive kits would last longer. This last option is probably what i'd go for though. Either way, this is all easy enough to do yourself - i wouldnt take it to a garage for this. Hope this helps...
  6. bugger that ! lean out of the window with a brush while you're driving mate macc - home of ian curtis Did he lean out of his window and paint his wheels? They actually filmed part of that Ian Curtis film on my mums road about 3 years ago, when i was still living at home. They closed the road for the day, and we all had to move our cars! His house was about 50yards from my mums house!
  7. Dont rush it mate. If you're gonna do it, do it right... i.e. when the weather's a bit warmer so the paint dries correctly, and you are in daylight...!!
  8. Looks lovely bud. And nice driveway too! I washed mine today really quickly - and now its covered in 2 inches of snow again! I needed to get last weeks' salt off it though
  9. +1 Hoole Road mate - its a street full of hotels!
  10. Perfect opportunity bud - dont replace with standard items...! And take a hammer to your wheels, and get them replaced!!
  11. Welcome pal. Post up the links to any cars you're going to see, as we can all offer good advice on them.
  12. Welcome pal... Very reliable cars these zeds... i cant believe how good they are.
  13. +1 - No need to jack up, or remove the wheels. Had my bumper off a few times. Good pics though for the bolt locations...

    Finally!

Nice matey. How does it compare to the rex?
  15. Fairly easy fix mate... You need to remove some of the cowling from around the drivers side of the windscreen (sounds worse than it really is) and then work your way back from the wipers, and find the tubes which supply the water. You may need to unhook them from underneath the cowling, along the bottom of the windscreen. There is like a Y join in the pipes at some point, which is a non-return valve. This is known to get clogged up from time to time, so pull the tubes apart at this point and try to clean it. Keep giving your washers a blast and you should see the water coming through easier once you've unblocked it. Probably about 30mins total work pal.
  16. Welcome pal - sounds like you know your stuff. Good luck with the project. And nice pics
  17. So that explains this morning's cryptic PM Nice work pal. Get the pics up!!
  18. Dont all cars have only one reverse light?
  19. http://www.chilloutzone.de/files/09012401.html Some are reposts but stil very funny.
  20. +1 - should be no problem with the MOT. However, i could return the lights to standard halogen bulbs in about 2 hours anyway, so if there was a problem its an easy fix... I just cant believe i waited so long to do it!
  21. Yes they will. Why do you need to change them? If you're doing it to upgrade to HID headlights, you may have the HID equipment in your lights already, but it will have been disconnected when the car was imported... i returned mine to HID last month...

This is the only modern BMW i'd have nowadays... i like these a lot, although maybe a little too small for me.
