  1. Awesome matey. Love the Halo's... Get some pics up when they're on the car...
  2. Had read that previously Tim - thats why i wanted to check it today in the light, before my track day next week...
  3. i think it would be quicker taking the bumper off... I've had mine off a few times now so could finish the job in about an hour - but the first time it took me about 5 hours to replace the reflectors - and that was without taking the bumper off. It was snowing though, and i couldnt feel my fingers!
  4. Sorted it, cheers guys. As the image shows, put your hand behing and squeeze the 2 tabs inwards while pulling the cover out.
  5. Bumper off Job mate. This is easy to do though if you follow the guides on here.
  6. Hey Martin, Did you mean to put a link up? I've searched through my service manual, not sure if its the US one - but it got no matches for 'TOW' or other variations... what did you search on??
  7. Erm... sounds a stupid question, but i cant get it off...! Im talking about the cover in the front grill.... i pull the bottom part of it and it pivots upwards, but there are some tabs on the back of it which stop it going any further. The threaded hole is about 3/4 inch higher up, so i cant get to it... I've got a track day next week, and need my towing eye in whilst on track.... See pics...
  8. Very nice Tim - i love SL's.
  9. Sarnie - thats very funny. Yes, my cars still here, but i got up 4 times in the night to check!! I've just re-read my post it does sound like im being paranoid - but it was hard to describe what happened...! He wasnt doing his job at all... Ah well.
  10. Just writing this so i have something to show the police really if the worst happens!! I've just ordered a pizza and i was going to get it delivered so told them my address, but then realised i had no cash so told them i'd pick it up. Anyway, got there and all went fine, but as i was leaving, totally off hand the guy just said 'Did you say you lived at xxxxxxx?'. Like an idiot i said yes, and realised i shoudnt have done straight away. He had no reason to ask me that. The guy was eastern european, but not polish or slovakian i dont think. Its not that he was foreign though - it was the way he said it. He didnt acknowledge my car at all, and he was stone-faced - it wasnt polite chat... i just know he was on it. I'd parked right infront of the Pizza Pantry and they could see my car completely. Anyway, sleeping with my bedroom window open from now on, and i keep a bat very close anyway - not that im paranoid!
  11. Yup. In the center of mine it says stubborn and lazy in chinese. I think. It might say smug c*nt, i'd never know!
  12. While the weather's been cold i've been getting 17.4mpg but i've got 31MPG in the past on long runs. I've been meaning to post about this actually... is there anything that can cause my MPG to be so poor at the moment???
  13. Im a software developer and i write credit card software. ...no, i haven't written a program to take all the left over 1p's from transactions and put them in my account - but i know how to
  14. Sorry, off topic but can you have the same plate on more than 1 car? I thought you couldnt, but there's a guy in macc with a Rolls Royce which i see frequently, and saw last thursday - then the next morning i saw the same plate on a white GTR and it ended up going to the building next to where i was going when dropping my missus at work! Guy obviously has some money to spend, but im puzzled by the plates.
  15. Is this car going to be your daily driver/only car? The zed is the only car in our house and its very easy to live with... The boot is plenty big enough for us, and its comfy for long journeys. I couldnt live with an elise/vx. Also, i think the Z3M is a damn ugly car, so i dont think it'll much of a head turner, unlike the zed.
  16. Geez, for a UK model thats well cheap... Im gutted!
  17. Were you talking about this a few weeks ago? To me, it sounds like a faulty ballast or something... In that case you have 3 options. 1. Replace like for like - not sure of the price, but looking at mucho dollar i'd think. 2. Turn your lights into regular halogen lights, bypassing the HID kit. This will cost you about a fiver plus bulbs, and a few hours DIY work. Can talk you through this if you want to go down this route - just PM me... 3. Buy an aftermarket HID kit, and replace your stock HID kit with it. These kits start at about £40 on eBay, but im not vouching for their quality...naturally i'd assume that the more expensive kits would last longer. This last option is probably what i'd go for though. Either way, this is all easy enough to do yourself - i wouldnt take it to a garage for this. Hope this helps...
  18. bugger that ! lean out of the window with a brush while you're driving mate macc - home of ian curtis Did he lean out of his window and paint his wheels? They actually filmed part of that Ian Curtis film on my mums road about 3 years ago, when i was still living at home. They closed the road for the day, and we all had to move our cars! His house was about 50yards from my mums house!
  19. Dont rush it mate. If you're gonna do it, do it right... i.e. when the weather's a bit warmer so the paint dries correctly, and you are in daylight...!!
  20. Looks lovely bud. And nice driveway too! I washed mine today really quickly - and now its covered in 2 inches of snow again! I needed to get last weeks' salt off it though
  21. +1 Hoole Road mate - its a street full of hotels!
